Mistletoe Justice by Carol J Post

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Mistletoe Justice. I have really enjoyed the story's about Cedar Key and this book is another trip there. It sounds like such a beautiful place. This book is well written, action packed, and full of faith. Carol did such a good job dealing with Darci's son's Autism. I really liked that.

Darcie sold her business in Cedar Key to take a job in a town close by that pays more and has benefits to help her care for her autistic son. She forgets her phone at work and returns to retrieve it only to hear a conversation about how her boss is going to take care of her if she gives them any trouble. As she listens her phone goes off and the men come into her office. They don't see her but finds the phone. She leaves the phone and sneaks out the back door only to run into one of the mechanics. She soon finds out her boss is framing her for embezzlement so she is unable to go to the police.

Conner Stevenson owns his own business but when his sister disappears he goes to work undercover to find out what happened. He comes from a dysfunctional home but is forced to care for his seven year old nephew. When Conner runs into Darcie he knows she is in trouble. He must find a way to help her but as he becomes a part of her life they are thrown into one traumatic situation after another.

A journey of two heartbroken individuals struggling to survive the terror that surrounds them. As the evidence piles up against her they are both trying to trust each other and trust God. God has a plan. He always has a plan for us if we let Him take control. God has a plan for you too. Start this year in the right way, give God first place in your life and let Him show you what He has in store for you. It will be far better than anything you could have dreamed of. Happy New Year, God bless you all.

Deadly Christmas Secrets by Shirlee McCoy

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Deadly Christmas Secrets. This is the fourth book in the Mission:Rescue Series. I have loved this series. Shirlee has done an awesome job on these stories. I do hope she is going to do a story of Chance and Stella before you finish the series though. I know I'm not the only one trying to figure out what is going on there. This story is well written and full of action. I love the characters and especially how she bring back the characters from earlier books. I always like that. The book is filled with faith but not preachy i do like that in Shirlee's books.

Harper Shelby has left everything she once had and moved to a small cabin with an acreage of forest land. She has become an artist in pottery and is trying to move on in a new life after the death of her sister and her niece. She receives a package with a newspaper clipping of her sister's death and a piece of her niece's baby blanket. She tries to call the detective in charge of the case but failed to reach him. Was her niece still alive? They had never found her body.

Logan Fitzgerald is a member of the HEART organization. He is hired by Harper's brother-in-law to find Harper but when he arrives he finds he has been followed and shots are fired. Logan couldn't believe that he had led killers to Harper. The HEART Team arrives to protect Harper and find her niece.

Harper has lost everything, she is struggling to just move on with her life. Her heart was broken, how can she hope and move forward. Logan has raised his three younger brothers. He has moved on with his life through HEART still trying to find his mother. These two brokenhearted individuals are thrown together in a journey to find her niece and the killers. It's going to take a strong faith in God to find the answers to the secrets that surround them. An awesome read, I know you will love it. Just remember that God has a plan for each of us and it's far greater than anything you have dreamed of.

A Home for Her Heart by Janet Lee Barton

My review today is on the Love Inspired Historical, A Home for Her Heart. This is the third book in the Boardinghouse Betrothals Series. I have enjoyed this book and the others in this series. The series is about the appalling conditions of the New York Tenements during the late 1800's. The book is well written even though it's about heartbreaking conditions. I enjoyed the characters as they try to find a way to improve conditions for the poor people that are stuck in this poverty.

Elizabeth Anderson is a magazine writer for the woman's monthly the "Delineator." She doesn't need to work but feels because of her wealth she should give back. As a writer she likes to think she is making a  difference.  She lives at the Heaton House Boardinghouse but only the landlady knows of her wealth. One of her fellow boarders has made the comment that her writing is mere fluff. Elizabeth is offended by his arrogance.

John Talbot is a reporter for the New York Tribune. He moved to town when a wealthy woman was instrumental in getting him fired. Elizabeth is a beautiful woman that he finds himself attracted to. They have been sparring with each other for years. So when one of the other boarders asks them to investigate a couple of tenement buildings and do a story on it he is all for it.

During their time together their relationship seems to take on a whole new life of it's own as these two are drawn into their investigation but can that relationship survive the secrets they both carry? Will the big story they reveal take prescience over their love for each other? God has a plan for these two can they learn to trust Him? We often are in the same boat. Can we Trust in the Lord? God has a plan for each of us and it is so much greater than anything you hope for but you must trust Him and give Him control. It will be worth it I assure you.

Silent Night Pursuit by Katie Lee

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Silent Night Pursuit. This is the first book of a new series called Roads to Danger and I look forward to the next book, I really enjoyed this one. This book is like all of Katie's books; it is well written, action packed, and full of faith. You will love getting to know her characters.

Lacey Phillips tends to be on the impulsive side. She finds an envelope with a man's name and a key from her brother who has recently died. Lacey takes off on Christmas Eve to find this man and get some answers. She notices that she is being followed and as she's about to enter the driveway of this man a car hits her car and almost causes her to go over the edge of a cliff. If it wasn't for her car racing skills she would be a heap at the bottom of a deep ravine. Swinging her car into the drive as shots are fired, she almost hit a dog. The dog is rescued and she finds the man she is searching for.

Captain Wade Spencer  tries to turn her away until the shooting starts. Wade wants nothing to do with this beautiful woman. He knows that his past is the reason her brother died. As killers surround them he has no choice but to take her with him, keep her safe, and find out who these killers are.

Two flawed individuals trying to find answers to their questions while fighting for their lives. God has a plan for these two and it's nothing like anything they could have dreamed of. These two were made for each other. God has a plan for you too. You just need to trust Him and give Him control.

Holiday On The Run by Laura Scott

My review today is one the Love Inspired Suspense, Holiday On The Run. This is the sixth book in the SWAT: Top Cops Series. I have enjoyed every minute of this series. I know it's going to have to end but it wouldn't if I had any say about it. I enjoyed getting to know these characters. Laura is excellent in her writing of intrigues and adventures, I know you will enjoy this book and this series.

Twelve years ago Melissa Harris witnessed a murder. It took place behind the restaurant where she worked. Because of who the men were she ran for her life, no one would believe her. She faked her death after several years when they found her hiding place. She returned to town to see her father on his death bed and so he could meet his granddaughter before he died. Now they have found her and she is on the run again but she runs into the love of her life. Will he believe her when one of the men is a close relative of his?

Swat Cop Nate Freemont is at the shopping mall when he sees the only women he ever loved; but that couldn't be, she died five years ago. He follows her and a young girl and rescues her from two would be killers. What kind of a mess has she gotten herself into? Can he keep them safe, find out who's trying to kill her, and keep his heart from breaking again?

Two brokenhearted people struggling to survive in a world of trauma. God has a plan for these two and once they can trust each other and trust God, He can move and save their lives and the lives of others. A great read!

A Convenient Christmas Bride by Rhonda Gibson

My review today is on the Love Inspired Historical, A Convenient Christmas Bride. I enjoy Rhonda's books and I love the mail-order bride thing so this was a no-brainer for me. It is well written, humorous, and heart-warming. I enjoyed the characters and I know you will too.

Anna Mae Leland came to town as a mail-order bride after her fiancée left her at the alter only to have Levi marry someone else. Now she works at the school and loves caring for the children. In an act of spite one child leads her out in the woods and leaves her there. Lost she gets caught in a blizzard and wanders onto a farm where the owner cares for her through a raging fever. After being stranded at the farm with an unmarried man she is disgraced and the board votes to fire her.

Sheriff Josiah Miller is a widower with twin two year old girls. Losing his wife devastated him and he refuses to love again. He has decided he needed help with his children only to have his prayers answered when the school teacher wanders on his property. He feels responsible when she is fired so he talks her into a marriage of convenience. He is amazed at how this young school teacher changes his life.

A story of two people sworn never to love again. God has a plan for these two and it's far greater than anything they could imagined. God has a plan for you too. Trust Him, give Him control, and watch Him work, He loves to show off.

Standoff at Christmas by Margaret Daley

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Standoff at Christmas. This is the fourth book in the Alaskan Search and Rescue Series. I have loved this series, it's been awesome. This one is no exception, it's well written, action packed, and faith filled. I really enjoy the K-9 stories, those dogs are wonderful.

Rachel Hart's aunt tells her she needs to talk to her. She tells her she's glad Rachel's childhood friend has come back to town, she needed to talk to him too.  Jake comes to her office and Rachel tells him he and his grandfather are suppose to come to dinner. He goes with her to check on her aunt's home but she has been brutally murdered.

Anchorage K-9 Officer Jake Nichols has come home to recover from an almost fatal injury. (see book 3) He wants peace and quiet but what he finds is his best friend caught up in a drug-smuggling operation. His dog was also injured and is now retired as he only has three legs but he alert him that drugs are in her office. Rachel is being threatened, can Jake and his partner keep her safe until they unravel the mess they've found themselves in.

Two broken people trying to forget their terrible past and move on with their lives. A story of forgiveness and reconciliation. God has a plan. Some may think He is in control of this world but He can only have control you give Him when you trust Him and let Him do what needs to be done. Adam gave the control of this world to Satan. God's hands are tied until you let Him move.

Capitol K-9 Unit Christmas....Guarding Abigal by Lenora Worth

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Capitol K-9 Unit Christmas. This is a novella, Monday I reviewed the first story but today I am reviewing Guarding Abigal. I'm always thrilled to receive one of Lenora's books. This one was excellent, if maybe a bit short. This story is well written, action packed, and full of adventure. The characters are great if a bit flawed.

Abigail Wheaton is in the capitol to bury her murdered father, a diplomat. The only problem is that someone is trying to kill her. She just wants to stay in her country home and grieve but when it is attacked she agrees to leave. Once she leaves her home is burned to the ground. Who is doing this to her and why? Can the K-9 officer and his partner keep her safe?

Capitol K-9 Unit Officer Dylan Ralsey's mission is to protect the diplomat's daughter. She seems to be doing all she can to be hard to protect. Why is someone trying to kill this beautiful woman? Can he keep her safe and protect his heart? Is it already to late for that?

A journey of two broken people trying to survive the attacks that surround them. Once they learn to trust each other and call on God's grace, things turn around for them. That is what we all need to do. Once we let God take control and trust Him to take care of everything; then He can straighten out the mess we have made of our lives. My pastor says that grace is God's willingness to get involved into our mess. I like that. He always has a plan for us and it's much better than we could ever imagine.

Capitol K-9 Unit Christmas.....Protecting Virginia by Sjirlee McCoy

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Capitol K-9 Unit Christmas. This book is a novella, so today I will be reviewing the first story which is Protecting Virginia. I really enjoy Shirlee's work and was happy to see her continue the K-9 series. I always wondered what Virginia's story was. This story is well written, action packed, and full of intrigue. I loved the characters, especially how Virginia didn't bother John as she seemed to every one else. I also liked the faith that flowed throughout the story.

Virginia Johnson is one of the foster care workers in the group home of All Our Kids Foster Home in Washington D.C. She is very upset when her deceased husband's aunt dies and leaves her the estate. Virginia suffered untold horrors at the hand of her husband in that house; until the time that her husband tried to kill her and then killed himself. Her boss talks her into going to the house and getting it ready to sell so that she can use the money for the foster kids. Virginia would like to start another  home. But when she arrives at the house she finds an intruder that looks just like her dead husband and he seems to have every intention of finishing what her husband started. Hysterical she runs to her neighbor's house for help and finds a K-9 officer living there.

Capitol K-9 Officer John Forrester leaves Virginia with his K-9 partner and goes to the house while she calls 911. They find evidence of someone living the house but are unable to capture the man. Virginia's story about him being her dead husband confuses everyone. John is determined to help this beautiful vulnerable woman.

A journey of two hurt and broken souls. They soon learn that everything is not always as it seems and that to find their way they are going to need to trust each other and that God has a plan. God always has a plan and if we can but give Him our trust it will be far greater than anything we imagined.

High Caliber Holiday by Susan Sleeman

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, High-Caliber Holiday. This is the third book in the First Responders Series. I have really enjoyed this series but then I love Susan's work. I once was a first responder so that makes it much closer to my heart. This book is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you will enjoy this book.

Ex-lawyer Morgan Thorsby is being held hostage on a train by a man who's family was destroyed by her father's mill and a class-action lawsuit that Morgan won. This was the reason she quit working for her father, now she works for Portland Employment Assistance and is helping others. The sniper of the first responders tries to shoot the stalker but in a moment of hesitation he hits Morgan with a graze across her arm. The stalker is arrested but Morgan's life is still under attack. Can she trust this man who had tried to rescue her.

Ex-Marine Sniper Brady Owens is having some moments of doubt that seem to be effecting his work. This is twice he hesitated to shoot. He is soon drawn into Morgan's life as it continues to be threatened. Can he find this killer before he hurts Morgan? Right now his main goal is to protect her and keep her safe but can he keep his heart safe at the same time?

Two broken people are thrown into a fight for their lives. Both of them have trust issues, can they get past that and find the killers? God has a plan for these two, a plan of healing and restoration. God wants to do that for you too. All you have to do is ask Him and give Him control of your life. You will never regret it.

Yuletide Abduction by Virginia Vaughan

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Yuletide Abduction. This is the first book in the Rangers Under Fire Series. I enjoy Virginia's books even though she is a newcomer to LIS. This book is well written, action packed, and about a subject that is near to my heart; human trafficking. I loved the characters, broken and flawed as they were. Faith is an important part of this book and I like that

FBI Agent Elise Richardson comes to town to find out if the missing teen could be part of a human trafficking ring she is investigating. What she learns is that this teen is the daughter of the man that saved her life years ago as a man tried to abduct her. This man gave up his life to save her and was the reason she joined the FBI.

Former Army Ranger Josh Adams is doing all he can to find his niece but everyone believes she ran away. Josh goes to the FBI Agent but ends up rescuing her from men who are trying to kill her. He's extremely upset when he learns this is the girl his brother died for but can he do anything less when these men keep after them. At least she believes him.

A journey of two broken and driven individuals. They must learn to forgive and trust again. God has a plan for these two and it is far greater than anything they could have dreamed. God is like that. He
always has a plan for us and if we can just give Him control it        will be awesome. God bless you all.

Murder Under The Mistletoe by Terri Reed

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Murder Under The Mistletoe. This is the third book in the Northern Border Patrol Series. I have loved this series as I do most of Terri's books. This story is well written, action packed, and full of adventure. You will love the characters. What I love most about Terri's books is the way she weaves her faith throughout the story. Some authors just keep it clean and then slip something vague about God but Terri doesn't do that. She gives you subtle lessons in faith that you aren't even aware that you are learning.  I love that.

DEA Agent Tyler and his Border Patrol are investigating a drug cartel in Idaho. His informant told him that the cartel was using his Christmas tree farm to bring in drugs and that he was gathering evidence but he is killed before he can give the evidence to Tyler's team. When his boss discovers the sister has moved in with her child he tells Tyler to protect them.

Widow Heather Larson-Randall moves back to the farm to bury her brother. She has lost everything so the farm is her last hope. Hearing a noise in the house she gets up to discover a DEA agent sneaking into her back door. He tells her why he is there and that her brother was working for him. That he wasn't an overdose victim but was murdered. Now Heather has to choose if she will blame Tyler for her brother's death or if she will help him find the men who killed her brother before they kill her.

A great journey of two broken hearts brought together by a traumatic event. Can they learn to trust God and each other? God has a plan and if we can just yield to Him He will turn our lives around. A great read.

Thank You Father

My post is not a review today, instead I just want to thank God for all that He has done for me, especially this last year. God is so good! This year has truly been one blessing after another. To list all the blessing I have received and my family have had would take forever but I will tell you a few.

God gave my a car! How many people can say that? I haven't had a car since my car broke down five years ago. My grandson and my son-in-law tried to get it going but the problems were electrical. I started praying for a car. After I moved out of their home three years ago, I have had to walk or rely on someone to come and pick me up and take me where I needed to go. In April someone came up to me and told me God told them to give me their car. Praise God! I now have a Cadillac. It's old but it's wonderful.

My daughter Kellie and her family were notified by HUD that their rent was about to double. So they started praying for a home. Jeremy and his family also lived with them so they also started praying for a home. There just didn't seem to be anything available but finally Jeremy found one. Kellie and Scott found a place but it was going to take a lot of work. Her boss called her one day and said they had a friend that wanted to sell their home. Kellie and Scot were able to buy that house, close, and move in in just a few weeks. Jeremy and his wife moved into their new home a few weeks later and now Kellie's other son Paul and his wife have bought a new home and are expecting another child. God is so good.
Schanae, Kellie's daughter is expecting a child in February.

I was able to travel to Cheyenne and watch my grandson graduate from high school and spend several days with my son. Later in the summer I was able to go see Dustin play in the Regional's play off. Such a blessing for me.

My church started a Christian School this fall. Kellie is teaching kindergarten and I'm able to work in the office. What a blessing! The children have grown so much spiritually and can pray like nothing you have ever seen before. I love the confidence you see in their faces. They are learning who they are in Christ Jesus. They read two chapters in the Bible each day. They are learning how our country was truly founded. It is awesome.

I am truly blessed and highly favored of God! I just want to thank God for all the little things He does for me too. I have increased so much in this last year.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving. I'll not be doing any post the rest of the week. I want to spend time with my family. God bless each of you.

Christmas Blackout by Maggie K. Black

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Christmas Blackout. I love Maggie's work and this  was an excellent example. This story is well written, complex, and action packed. Maggie fills her stories with faith woven into them like a tapestry. I loved it and I know you will too.

Benjamin Duff is about to take off on his dream to boat around the world for charity. He was once severely injured and because of his injury his sister suffered from an anxiety disorder. He felt he owed her to stay close but in just a few days she would marry the love of her life. Benjamin was free.  Now he just needed to drop off his dog to his friend's bed and breakfast, attend the wedding, and catch his plane to Australia.

Piper Lawrence has taken over her  aunt and uncle's Bed and Breakfast to try to get it into a profitable business. "Christmas at the Downs" has been an annual event that she hoped would bring the business back to life. Her aunt is suffering some mysterious disease and her husband has taken her to an assisted living facility. Piper wanted to bring them home.

Benjamin calls when he is close to the Downs but hears Piper being attacked. He rushes to save her only to crash his truck. Caught  in a terrible snow storm without power, they find someone has sabotaged the generator. Benjamin is able to keep her from being killed but  the killer is searching for someone and something. Could these two find what this man is looking for before he destroy them or the B&B?  Benjamin's time is running out and the attacks are only getting stronger. They soon find out that God has a plan and if they can just trust Him He will work it out for them. God always has a plan and it so much greater than anything you ever imagined.

An Alasian Wedding by Belle Calhoune

My review today is on the Love Inspired book, An Alaskan Wedding. This is the first book of Belle's I have read but I liked it. I'm sure it won't be the last. It was well written and I enjoyed the characters.
I love stories about Alaska and Love was a fun place to visit.

Reporter Grace Corbett was sent to Love after Mayor Prescott put and article in the paper requesting women to come to Love to find romance. There were very few women living in Love and the men in town wanted wives. So Grace's boss sent her to get a story. She had no intention of find a romance only a story.

Sheriff Boone Prescott was the grandson of the mayor and wasn't happy about his grandfather's attempt to get women to come to Love until the beautiful Grace fell into his arms. She was a city girl with ridiculous shoes, and would never fit into his life style, if he ever decided he wanted a wife. He had been hurt badly in the past.

A tale of two broken individuals with no desire to find romance at all. God had a plan for these two and once they began to trust Him everything began to fall into place.

Christmas Bride by Terri Grace

My review today is on the Christmas Bride, Mail Order Bride; Brides for all Season, Book 3, A Gift for Pete. I haven't read any of Terri's books before but this one was excellent. I love mail order bride stories so I was enchanted with this book. It's hard to understand what would make a woman leave everything she knows to go across the country to marry a stranger. It intrigues me.

Emily and her young brother lived with her drunken abusive father. her neighbor talked her into answering a mail order bride advertisement and to contact her aunt to take Jimmy. So Emily sets out to deliver her brother to her aunt and to meet her new husband, Doctor Pete. They had been exchanging letters for some time but Pete was unaware of her inability to read or write. (Her neighbor was answering his letters and writing them.) Could she keep her secret?

Doctor Pete, now in his forties, was surprised when he saw the beautiful young girl. He had assumed she was an old maid. Well at least she could be a nurse if the marriage didn't work out. Pete had been married before and had lost his wife. He didn't feel it was important to share this with her. It was just his secret to bare.

An excellent story that will touch your heart. I know you will enjoy it.

Lethal Exposure by Elisabeth Rees

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Lethal Exposure. This book is one of the Navy Seal Defenders Series. I love the Navy Seals and so this book is a no-brainer for me, I loved it. This book is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I enjoy that about Elisabeth's books. I liked her characters, they were great and I hope to read more about them in her next book.

Photographer Rebecca Grey was widowed a year and a half ago. She has two young daughters and is struggling to survive. Her husband's best friend and fellow Seal has quit the military and is helping her deal with all the changes. So when her home is broken into she calls the police but also calls him.

Ex-Navy Seal Conrad "Jack" Jackson has helped Rebecca pull herself out of her grief just as he promised her husband before he died. He promised to care for her and her daughters. Now that she was under attack he tried to draw closer to Rebecca only to have her pull away. He didn't understand why she wanted him to back away after this situation ended, they were his whole life. Could he keep them safe.

Rebecca had taken some pictures of priceless art in the war zone and now someone was after those pictures. Her pictures were the only proof of the art theft. It would take all of Rebecca's faith to survive these attacks. Rebecca's faith draws Jack in like a moth to a flame. He needs what she has.
God has a plan for these two, all they have to do is trust. God has a plan for you too, and it's much greater than any thing you dreamed of. Get a copy of this book, you will love it.

Christmas in Hiding by Cate Nolan

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Christmas in Hiding. This is Cate's first book with LIS and I'm thankful it won't be her last. I loved the book; it's well written, action packed, and full of faith. What a great combination. I loved her characters, they were complex and complicated but became people that touched your heart.

Callie Martin was a kindergarten teacher when she witnessed the death of her boyfriend, now her life was turned upside down. She had lost everything and is now in witness protection. She is taken to a meeting with the Assistant US Attorney and a DEA agent. Unable to give them the answers they want the two of them leave with her US Marshal Ben Wilson. They are attacked. A different marshal shows up in the conference room and tells her he will be protecting her now. Callie doesn't trust this new man.

US Marshal Jackson Walker is a loner from Texas. His mentor had talked him into taking this new case. Ben believed Callie was innocent. Jackson wasn't so sure, her faith and her sweetness could be just good acting. As they run all over the country side the abductors are right there with them. Either Callie is telling the where they are or they have a mole. There is something special about her though. Can he keep this woman alive and safe without losing his heart.

A journey of two broken hearts struggling to learn to trust again. They soon learn they must trust each other and God to survive the horror they are facing.  They learn God has a plan. A plan for a future and a hope. God is so good. He has a plan for you too if you will just learn to trust him. This book is a great read and one you will want to read.

Into Thin Air by Mary Ellen Porter

My review today in on the Love Inspired Suspense, Into Thin Air. This is Mary Ellen's first book with LIS and the first of her work that I have read. I enjoyed the book very much and look forward to reading more of her work. The book is well written, action packed and full of adventure. Faith is interwoven throughout the entire story. I know you will enjoy it.

Ex-Search and Rescue worker Laney Kensington is on her way home when she witnesses a child being abducted. Laney jumps in and tries to help the girl but ends up being shot and left for dead. She wakes up in the hospital with and urgent desire to find this girl. All the FBI wans to do is protect Laney.

This could be their big break; an eye witness. FBI Agent Grayson DeMarco has been working this human trafficking case for almost a year. This abduction makes three children that have been taken in this area. How many more did they need to meet their quota? Could he protect Laney and find the men?

Laney had quit working as a S&R worker and had retired her dog after her team had been killed in an avalanche. She now trained dogs and relies only on herself. Grayson lost his best friend and his fiancĂ©e in a short time, he knows God's plan has to be for him to live alone. Both these people are on a journey of faith. They must learn to trust each other, God, and His plan for them, even in the face of unthinkable betrayal. It's a great read.

Joseph's Bride by Grace Given

My review today is on the Amish Book, Joseph's Bride. I don't think I have ever read any of Grace's
work but I did enjoy this one. It is a very clever  modern day story of Joseph and his brothers from  the book of Genesis. She did a really good job on adapting a story that I thought would be hard to put into our modern world but I'm sure having them Amish did help.

Joseph Fischer is one of twelve boys born  to Jakob. Jakob's first wife died in child birth  after giving him ten baby boys. Jakob remarried and had Joseph and Benjamin. Joseph was his daett's favorite. Joseph is a very good carpenter and intends to marry Mary as soon as he is baptized he has no desire to have his Rumspringa. He has a dream that his stubborn brothers bow down to him. They didn't take that well.

Joseph's brothers take him out to a bar a week before he is to be baptized but Joseph refuses to drink or kiss the woman the boys tried to force on him. So his brothers devised a plan to steal a book in the middle of the night and set Joseph up. Their plan works and Joseph is shunned and sent out into the Englisch world. Joseph lands a job in a restaurant and works his way up only to land in jail when his wife tells everyone he tried to rape her.

This modern day bible story is well written and full of faith. I loved her characters and the way she stayed true to the original story. I know you will enjoy it.

Her Holiday Protector by Lenora Worth

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Her Holiday Protector. This book is the first book in the Men of Millbrook Lake Series. I love all of Lenora's work and this one is an excellent example. It is well written, action packed, and full of faith. Her characters are complex and full of issues that she always manages to deal with properly. You will love this book.

Police Detective Blain Kent is out jogging when he hears a gunshot and a woman's screams. as he arrives to the scene he notices the resemblance between the woman who was shot and Rikki Allen. Could this woman have been killed by mistake? Could Rikki be the target? As he investigates he realizes that Rikki is keeping secrets, how can he trust her? How can he protect her when he can't even trust her?

Rikki Allen is an interior designer. She returns home to work on a couple of cases. She left the town and her crime family when her new husband was killed suspiciously. She blamed her father, the crime boss for all that had happened these last years. Could her family be the ones who killed her best friend and was trying to kill her now. She wants to trust Blain but he hates her family and will he still help her when he finds out who she really is.

A journey of two people who are unable to trust anyone feeling they have been betrayed by these closest to them. They have to learn to trust God and to trust each other. God has a plan for these two and He has a made a way to turn their world around. God can do that for you too if you will surrender your will to Him and let Him lead the way.

Dangerous Tidings by Dana Mentink

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Dangerous Tidings. This is the first book in the new series, Pacific Coast Private Eyes and I look forward to the next book. I love Dana's books and I'm always thrilled to get a book from her. This one is well written, action packed, and full of adventure. I love the way she weaves her faith throughout the story. You just have to love that.

Donna Gallagher is grieving over the loss of her father and her sister lying in a coma at the hospital. How is she to celebrate Christmas without them. She can't believe his death was an accident. Someone had to have forced them off the road. She goes to her father's office to find out about the last case he was working on. P. Mitchell was the name on the case file. She remembered Pauline because she had cared for her dog, Radar. What was her father trying to find out? The only thing in the file were three names. As she looked into the file the office is broken into and she is attacked. The man who rescues her is one of the names on the file, is he friend or foe?

Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer Brent Mitchell is on medical leave but he is determined to find his missing sister before Christmas. When he learns her disappearance is somehow linked to the death of PI Bruce Gallagher, he goes to his office just in time to rescue the PI's daughter. When the police arrive, the case is taken over by the man who blames him for the death of his girl friend. He and Donna must find the answers because the police aren't going to be any help.

These two broken individuals are thrown into a dangerous investigation. They must rely on each other and their God to keep them alive and to find the answers they seek. Trust is so hard sometimes, especially during the holidays but God always has a plan for us and when we give Him control He can make a way for us that is far greater than we ever dreamed.

A Gift Forever by Diane Craver

My review today is on a very sweet story called A Gift Forever. I don't think I have read any of Diane's books before. I could be wrong about that but I really enjoyed this one very much. I don't always like books written in the first person but this one was exceptional. The story is well written, heart warming, and full of a child's faith. Jesus says we need faith like a child and so this one is scriptural. You will love  the characters.

This story is told by a seven year old, Debbie. She is the youngest of four children. Debbie gets up in the night to go to the bathroom and sees he father struggling to read her second grade book. Debbie is torn about what to do. She must tell someone. When she tells her sisters, her mother hears and admits that it is true her father cannot read. So Debbie prays for Jesus to send someone to help her dad learn to read. When her father hears what she had prayed, he tells her that Jesus already sent someone, her.

This family has many adventures throughout the book. I especially like that at the end she tells what happened to each of the characters as they grow up, I loved that about it. You really need to get a copy of this story, especially with the holidays coming up. A great read!

Perfect Alibi by Melody Carlson

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Perfect Alibi. I don't I have read any of Melody's books before but I enjoyed this one very much.  The book is well written, full of action, and faith based. I like her characters, they were complex hurting individuals but God was able to turn most of them around.

Journalist Mallory Myers returns to her apartment to find her best friend lying on the floor with her throat slit. Mallory is convinced that her former boyfriend, who is now dating her best friend, is the one who killed her but there is only one problem; he was on national TV at the time and no one believes her. She has become their number one suspect. Convinced he will come after her she runs home only to find her deputy sheriff father is on vacation. When a fire threatens to burn the house done she is rescued by the chief.

Fire Chief Logan McDaniel comes to her rescue. Logan believes Mallory's story but isn't sure how they can break his alibi. As the killer plays games with them, they become closer. He is set to protect her at all costs.

A journey to survive the terrifying attacks of a killer. They both struggle to allow God to take care of the situation. God is good and He always has a plan. It might not work the way we think it should but it's usually far greater than we imagined.

Christmas Undercover by Hope White

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Christmas Undercover. this book is the fourth book in the Echo Mountain Series. I have really enjoyed this series and hope this isn't the last one. This book is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I love Hope's characters and issues that they are dealing with. This book deals with the issue of trust and how difficult it is for us.

FBI Agent Sara Vaughn is forced by her boss to take a vacation. She becomes so tunnel minded on her cases that she won't let go. Going rogue she hires on as a tour guide on a hike in the Cascade Mountains but as she spies on the men she suspects, she witnesses a murder. Sara runs but the men heard her and give chase. Sara falls off a cliff and is rescued by a handsome search and rescue volunteer. She suspects he is with the other men and is out to kill her.

Echo Mountain Search and Rescue Volunteer Will Rankin is a widower with two young daughters. He takes a couple days off to get with God and hopefully change the course of his life. As he communes with God he finds a young woman who had fallen off the mountain. She doesn't trust him and accuses him of trying to kill her. She attacks him and ties him up and then proceeds to fall into a river. He must save her. He had failed his wife could he save her?

A great book of two broken people; both lived with guilt and distrust. To get off the mountain and survive the attacks of the killers they must learn to trust each other and to trust in God. God always has a plan for us if we can just let Him take control. This is an awesome read.

The Marshal's Runaway Witness by Diane Burke

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, The Marshal's Runaway Witness. I really enjoy Diane's books. This one is awesome, full of intrigue and suspense. This book is well written, fast paced, and faith based. I know you will love it.

Angelina Baroni witnessed her mafia kingpin father murder a man three years ago. She was scheduled to testify when Angelina saw her marshal, ( a man she had come to care about) give a note to the bailiff. That note turned out to be a death threat to Angelina so she ran. Now after living on her own for years, her best friend is shot right before her eyes and someone is trying to kill her. The marshal they send her is the same one who she felt betrayed her. How can she trust him?

US Marshal Dylan McKnight was betrayed by the woman he loved when she took off and left him. He almost lost his job and did lose his credibility. Now that a new trial was set it was his job to bring in Angelina and keep her from running again. How could he protect her and keep his heart safe?

A journey of two people, both betrayed by the other yet still very attracted. They must learn to trust each other and the God who would show them the plan He has for them. God always has a plan for us but so many times we think God is in control and yet we tie His hands. God isn't in control of the world, Adam gave that control to the devil. We must each give God control over our lives, then He can move in and help us. God has so much planned for us and yet there is nothing He can do until we make Him Lord of our lives.

Declaration of Depemdence--Upon God and His Holy Bible

My post today is not a review. I'm posting about a website that will change the United States of America. As a Christian I know a lot of us ask ourselves; "What can I do about the mess our country is in?" I am only one person and it is hard to be heard. Well, I have a way to stand up and be counted. Andrew Wommack has a website and you can take a stand with other like-minded Christians throughout the whole country. It's called the Declaration of Dependence--Upon God and His Holy Bible. The website is www.DependenceonGod.com You can sign the Declaration and be listed among great men of God like; Andrew Wommack, James Dobson, Creflo Dollar, Kenneth Copeland, and many others. You can even scrool up and see the names of thousands of other who have already  signed, including me.

DECLARATION OF DEPENDENCE

UPON GOD AND HIS HOLY BIBLE

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights. Since our Creator gave us these rights, we declare that no government has the right to take them away. Among these rights is the right to exercise our Christian belief as put forth in God's Holy Bible.
We therefore declare that God grants life at conception and no one has the right to take that life unless it is a direct threat to the life of the mother.
Marriage was instituted by God between one man and one woman. The Lord gave only this family unit the responsibility to have children and raise them in the fear of Lord.
We therefore respectfully reserve the right to refuse any mandate by the government that forces us to fund or support abortion. We also oppose same sex-marriage, polygamy, bestiality, and all other forms of sexual perversions prohibited by the Holy Scripture.
We proclaim that Jesus has provided the cure for all sin and therefore reach out to the sinner in love, but do not embrace the sin, knowing it's destructive nature.
Therefore, we, the undersigned--not only as Christians but also believing we have the constitutional right as Americans to follow these time honored Christian beliefs--commit to conducting our churches, ministries, businesses, and personal lives in accordance with our Christian faith and choose to obey God rather than man.

It's a Girl!

No review today, I'm going to be different. We have truly been extremely blessed this year but it has had some hard things too. This last winter my granddaughter, Kendra found out she was pregnant with their second child. The baby was to be born at the end of September but just a short time after learning she was pregnant she lost the baby. Timarree, one of my other granddaughters found out this spring that she was pregnant with their second child but at twelve weeks she watched her baby die on an ultra sound. This has been very hard for all the family especially my daughter Kellie who is the grandmother.

Schanae, Kellie's daughter is now pregnant. Wednesday Kellie and I got to go an watch her ultra sound. Schanae is now at twenty weeks, half way there. We bathed the ultra sound in prayer, we would not lose another baby.

We watched as the radiologist measured a perfect baby. All parts are there and everything is the right size for twenty weeks. I saw the baby sucking it's thumb. We learned that the baby is probably a girl. The baby is breech so it wasn't a sure thing; there is a ten percent chance it could be a boy. It is so awesome what they can do these days. When I had my first child (Kellie) they didn't have ultra sounds. I knew nothing about babies and nothing about delivery. Thank God we don't go through all that now. I had lost a child at eight weeks so I lived in constant fear through that pregnancy and my husband was in Vietnam. That is no way to live. We were all thrilled on Wednesday. God is so good! This will be my sixth great-grandchild. she will be born in February or March.

I couldn't help thinking of the Planned Parenthood videos though. I have never been an activist, that's not my calling. I am an Intercessor. Seeing what those people are doing and getting a way with it breaks my heart. Schanae is unmarried and could have gone that way but she chose life. If I found out she aborted it and then saw those tapes I don't know how I could live with that but the Holy Spirit is the comforter so I pray the women who were desperate enough to take the life of their own child will be comforted that God will forgive them. I pray those in charge of all these horrors will realize exactly what they have done. Let them see that these babies are someone child, grandchild, and great-grandchild. God forgive them.

Plain Threats by Alison Stone

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Plain Threats. I love Alison's stories; they are all full of unusual Amish situations. This book is well written, action packed, and full of faith, with a few twists and turns. Her character are not your normal Amish but are complex and compelling. I know you will enjoy it.

Rebecca Fisher was in an abusive marriage but now her world is in chaos. Her husband was accused of murder in an effort to try to protect the Amish way of life but was killed in prison. Rebecca's step son was the one that was instrumental in his father's arrest, now his best friend died in an accident under the influence of drugs and Samuel blames himself. Samuel has change and Rebecca is trying to find answers and the help her step son needs. She turns to an Englisher, a professor at the local college. Rebecca's community makes a point of letting her know that they might forgive outsiders but not one of their own. Many believed that she was aware of her husbands activities.

College professor Jake Burke is teaching a class about the Amish. He is writing a paper on the Amish youngie. In his quest to learn more of the Amish ways he often interview the young Amish men that were on rumspringa. He was surprised to see Rebecca but didn't want to tell her anything that Samuel told him in confidence. He ran to catch up with after she left and witnessed an attack on her. He drove her home only to have her attacked again.

So begins the journey of two people trying to save a young man and protect Rebecca from whoever was trying to hurt her. A great story of faith. God always has a plan and when we let go and let Him take over it will come to pass.

For Mercie's Sake by Sharon Srock

My review today is on the story, For Mercie's Sake. This is a short story by Sharon but it is well written, heart warming, and faith inspired. I'm not sure if I have read any of Sharon's books before but I enjoyed this one very much and I look forward to reading more of her work.

Scottlyn Rich was raped several months ago by the high school's star quarterback. Scottlyn refused to tell anyone until she found herself pregnant. The boy finally confessed but her father was adamant about Scottlyn either having an abortion or giving the child up for adoption. He would not have a product of rape in his home. Scottlyn was put in a home for unwed mother after her father threw her out of his home. The home managed to get her enrolled in a Christian School.

Widowed school teacher Diana Kensington is having a difficult time with her grief. It was just over sixteen months ago when her husband's plane fell out of the sky. Her life was over as far as she was concerned, grief consumed her. Every day she would ask "What now God?" Diana and her husband had been trying for years to have a child so when she received her new, obviously pregnant student she couldn't help but be judgmental. When she found out about the circumstances of the pregnancy, God began to deal with her.

A journey of two broken people in desperate need of hope and love and how God had a plan for them and it's was far better than either of them could ever imagine. A story of love, forgiveness, and hope. it will touch your heart.

The Christmas Cradle by Charlotte Hubbard

My review today is on the Amish Novella, The Christmas Cradle. This is one of the Seasons of Heart series. I have loved this series. This book is well written, humorous, and heart warming. I have loved all the characters in this series and enjoy watching their lives change throughout the series. If you haven't read any of Charlotte's work you need to get a copy of this book.

This story is really about two couples; Miriam and Ben Hooley are married and expecting there first child a little before Christmas. Ben handcrafted a beautiful cradle for a gift for his wife. Miriam was married before and has a set of grown triplets, (They were in the previous book) but Ben is much younger and this is his first. The second couple are not married but are also expecting their first child before Christmas.  Lena Esch and her boyfriend Josiah Witmer our passing through town but get stranded by the weather. Ben rescues them and brings them home with him.

Lena Esch is only eighteen. She has ran away from her strict Amish parents feeling her baby needs it's father. She has talked Josiah into bringing her along but things are not going well. Ben commands them to stop fighting before he will take them home to his wife. He will not have anything that will upset her.

Josiah Witmer and his sister have been catering events at home. He found a new position on line and is on the way to take over the restaurant when they got lost and stranded by the storm. He is fed up with Lena, all she does is whine and complain. He has half a mind to leave her here and take off.

As Josiah shares his new job with Ben, Miriam and Ben share all the problems that this town has had with the man that would be his new boss. Josiah begins to worry about everything that seems to be going wrong.

This is a great story about how and older stable couple can minister to a young couple and the problems they are facing as their worlds begin to be turned upside down by an evil man trying to have his own way. Lena and Josiah soon learn they must lean on God. He is the only one that can see them through. God is so good and you will find that He has a plan for you and it will be far greater than anything you had hoped for.

Expert Witness by Rachel Dylan

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Expert Witness. Rachel is a new author for LIS but I really enjoy her work. This book is well written, fast paced and full of adventure. This story is filled with faith, hope and love. I know you will enjoy it.

Sydney Berry is a victim of abuse. She managed to leave her abuser and took self-defense classes to overcome her fear. Not satisfied with just the simple course she worked with an ex-military man to become an expert. Little did she know she would need these skills as her life becomes threatened. As an expert witness in a court case she testifies in a preliminary hearing but when it comes time for her to testify in court she is almost killed in a drive-by shooting. She is saved at the last moment by a marshal.

US Marshall Max Preston is a former FBI agent and had dealings with the East River Gang. Convinced that Sydney is in danger he follows her and is able to rescue her from being shot. Sydney is his first case in witness protection and he is bound to protect her even from herself when she insists on testifying. He must prove some connection between the East River Gang and the man on trial. How high up does this gang go? Clearly there is a mole somewhere in the marshal program.

This is a journey between two people that are struggling to do their jobs in the face of great trials. Both of them have been hurt and have no desire to have a relationship. Max is awed by the strength of this woman and seeks to understand that her faith in Christ is what has brought her to this place. I  think as Christian we all want to live our faith in a way that will lead others to our Lord. Most of us fall short and are overcome by the cares of this world but God has a plan for us that will enable each of us to be the overcomer. He can make a way where there is no way if you can just believe. God wants that not one shall perish but have ever lasting life.

An Unexpected Christmas Blessing by Molly Jebber

My review today is on the last story in The Amish Christmas Sleigh Novella, An Unexpected Christmas Blessing. I love Molly's stories and the is an excellent one. I do wish it could have been longer though. The story is well written, humorous, and will touch your heart.

Charity Lantz is a widow with two kinner. This is her first Christmas as a widow and she is unsure how to help her kinner get through it. Everyone is telling her it is time to remarry and give her kinner a new dat but the only man that wants to court her is much older and has six kinner of his own. Can she do that? Then a good looking stranger moves in next door. He seems to love the kinner but does he want her?

Luke Fischer had a bad marriage that ended in a divorce. Unable to stand the pity he moves to a new community. He is welcomed by his beautiful neighbor and her wonderful gut kinner. He always wanted a child but remarrying is not an option.

A journey of two broken hearts struggling to survive the loneliness that surrounds the holidays and the struggles of trusting God. We all have our struggles in trusting God to have a plan for us but we sometimes really mess it up when we try to help Him out. (example; Abraham and Sarah, the reason we have a Middle East Conflict today) God always has a plan and if we can let go and let God it will be far greater than we could imagine.

A Mamm for Christmas by Amy Lillard

My review today is on the second story in, The Amish Christmas Sleigh Novella, A Mamm for Christmas. I enjoy Amy's books very much and this story was excellent. A story of three kinner that turn matchmaker. It's well written, quite humorous, and heartwarming. You will love it.

Bernice Yoder is a teacher for the small Amish community. Three little girls come to school each day dirty, hair a mess, and in stained dresses. Bernice goes to the father to try to help him but he is angry at her intervention.

Jess Schmucker is a young widower with three little girls. He was really struggling trying to keep the farm going, the girls clean and well dressed, only to have the teacher come to his home and accuse him of neglect.

These two people have their own issues and as they begin to realize the children have a plan of their own they have no choice but to draw together. God also had a plan and it was much greater than any they had imagined. I hope you go out and get this book I know you'll enjoy every minute of it.

a Sleigh Ride on Ice Mountain by Kelly Long

My review today is on the novella  The Amish Christmas Sleigh. As I usually do on novellas I will write a review on each story in the book. Today my review is on the story, A Sleigh Ride on Ice Mountain. I love Kelly's book on Ice Mountain so I was thrilled when they sent me this one to review. I think the thing I like most about her stories are the men. They are big strong men that are gentle and loving. I like that. This story is well written, humorous, and heartwarming. The issues that her characters are dealing with are complex and life changing but she uses faith to turn things around.

Kate Zook feels that she is past the age of marriage but she doesn't mind because her little brother is the whole world to her. Her parents were killed in a buggy accident and her brother was crippled. Caring for him is a constant struggle but her cousins has offered her a place to stay and she does housework for them for food and necessities.

Sebastion Christner, is a toy maker. He lives alone out in the woods. He loves children. He sees young Ben Zook sitting on a tree trunk watching the other children sledding. It breaks his heart so he takes him in the sled and heads down the hill only to be stopped by the boys sister. When Sebastion sees how these two live he decides to hire Kate as a housekeeper and the boy to help him make toys. He wants to help them but his past means there can be no relationship between them no matter how much he is drawn to her.

God has a plan for these two heart broken people; a plan neither of them had ever even dreamed of. God has a plan for you too and it's greater than you can even imagine. We just have to believe God's Word and trust Him to do it.

Desperate Escape by Lisa Harris

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Desperate Escape. I enjoyed this book very much. It's well written, action packed, and full of adventure. Lisa's faith is woven throughout the entire story like a tapestry.  I know you will want to get a copy of this book.

After the death of her father, Madison Grant decided she would become a doctor to save lives. Her brother was killed by a land mine and she left her comfortable life in private practice to go to West Africa and help the people of one the poorest counties in the world. But a journalist was shot and brought into her hospital. Right before he died he gave her information that proved a man high up in the American government was involved in drug trafficking. Then five days ago she was kidnapped and taken to drug lord's compound to care for the people from a cholera epidemic. Maddie knew as soon as the people were well she would be killed.

Special Ops.Grant Reese was Maddie's brother's best friend. It was his fault that he joined the Marines and his fault that he died. When Maddie's step father contacted him he had no choice but to try to rescue her. At one time he had loved her, now could he save her without getting another broken heart?

These two people are both dealing with issues of guilt and unforgiveness; Maddie is determined not to love again, after all she had lost her father and her brother she couldn't survive another loss, Grant had been her first crush but now he disarmed mines for a living, he could be killed at any moment. Grant was still dealing with the guilt of her brothers death plus a broken engagement. It was obvious that Maddie had a problem with what he did. Can these two people let go of their issues and let God  take control of their lives. He has a plan for them and it's much greater than anything they could ever hope for.

My Greatest Gift by Glenda Parker

My post today is not my usual book review today I want to tell you about my greatest gift God gave me. Fifty years ago I married an airmen. I became pregnant right away but unfortunately I lost that baby. It broke my heart. No one seemed to realize how hard that was for me but even though I wasn't very far along it was devastating to me.  Because I lost that child my husband received orders for Vietnam. He had had orders before but because of the first pregnancy they had  let him stay; now I was going to have to go through almost all of my pregnancy alone. My father came and picked my up in Lincoln and took me to Minot, North Dakota to stay with them at their air base. I lived in total fear I didn't know God then, at least not like I do now. I would go weeks without hearing from my husband and during that time I was so afraid I'd lose him and this baby. It was the worst six months of my life.

Forty-nine years ago today I woke up with contractions. When I went to the hospital the doctor sent me home. He said I could be like that a month, the baby just wasn't ready yet. (I had already gone over my due date 25 days.) I know more than got back to the air base than my water broke and they had to rush me back to the hospital. At 7:31 P.M. my beautiful baby girl was born.

Kellie Koree Parker was 6 lbs. and 15 ounces, she was 16 inches long. Such a tiny little thing to turn my life upside down. What a great gift you have been in my life. I thank God for such a wonderful gift, you have stood beside me when I had no one else and you are my best friend. I love all my children but the rest have always lived far away and are not a part of my life. I'm doing good to see them one or twice a year but Kellie is always there for me. You are a great joy.

Bound to the Warrior by Barbara Phinney

My review today is on the Love Inspired Historical, Bound to the Warrior. This was the first book in a series about the middle ages. I had read the second and the third book but was thrilled when Barbara sent me the first one. It was great to see how the whole story came about. I love stories about middle ages. I'm glad I didn't have to live then but I enjoy reading about them. This book is like all of Barbara's books; well written, full of adventure, and a weaving of faith throughout her work like a tapestry. I know you will love this book.

Widowed Lady Ediva Dunmow had just buried her husband when the new Norman King sent for her only to force her into another loveless marriage. Her first husband had been abusive and cruel. She had no desire to marry another man and certainly a huge warrior. She had promised her people she would protect them but after her marriage someone was threatening her and her people if she didn't kill her Norman husband.

Baron Adrien de Ries is a soldier not a land owner and certainly not husband material for the beautiful Saxon Lady but he must do as his king commands. He takes the widow as his wife and moves to her Keep Dunmow. He soon realizes he is unqualified to have the care of the Keep but falls in love with the people who now depend on him. He begins to court his wife but soon finds someone is trying to kill her. Will he be able to protect her?

A journey of two people forced together in an unwanted marriage. One fears for her life as she blames God for all the horrors she has gone through and the other prays for God to reveal Himself to his wife and show her His love. Can he make her understand how important it is to forgive? A great book!

Submerged by Eizabeth Goddard

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Submerged. This is the fourth book in the Mountain Cove Series. I have loved this series and hate to see it end. Elizabeth does an excellent job on suspense stories. This book is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I will tell you to be careful because once you start this book you will have a very difficult time putting it down. It's an awesome adventure.

Cobie MacBride's father is missing, hoping to find information about his disappearance she arranges to meet a couple of friends and go caving at the the last place she knew he visited. Huckleberry Hearts by Jennifer Beckstrand

My review today is on the book, Huckleberry Hearts. This is yet another book about The Matchmakers of Huckleberry Hill. I have loved this series and I'm glad to read there will be a few more books about this wonderful pair and their family. I wish they would have been my grandparents and I might not be alone today. This book is an excellent example of Jennifer's work. The story is well written, faith based, and very humorous. You will love this book.

Cassie Coblenz has come back to Huckleberry Hill to care for her mammi after she has cancer surgery on her foot. Cassie has left the Amish community to attend college. Her mamm and her brother are determined to force her back into the community and the church. Cassie has had some bad experiences out in the world and is unsure where she really belongs. Imagine her shock when her mammi's doctor is one of the depraved men from her college.

Dr. Zach Reynolds has come to the Amish community to work his residency in plastic surgery. He falls in love with Anna and Felty Helmuth. So it;s only natural he would be drawn to their beautiful grand daughter. He knows that he is unworthy of this Godly woman. In an effort to get to know Cassie better he agrees to house calls. During those house calls he struggles to prove to Cassie that he is ever bit the man her mamm is trying to force to marry. His efforts are quite humorous but quite heartwarming.

A struggle of two people trying to find their way to their faith in God and in each other. You will love their journey, at least I did. God always has a plan for our lives and it's not what we thought we wanted but it is so much great than we even imagined. Let God take control of your mess and watch Him change everything.

Lilies on Daybreak Pond by Mindy Starns Clark

My review  today is on a short story, Lilies on Daybreak Pond. This story is a prequel to the Men of Lancaster County series. I loved this story; it's well written, the characters are complex, and it will touch your heart. I have never read any of Mindy's work before but I look forward to reading more of her books. The faith she puts in this story is heart changing.

Joel Miller is out looking for his family's dog, Shadow. Joel's daughter Sadie had disappeared four months ago and his family is grieving the loss. Now her dog had taken off, probably trying to find her. Joel finally goes to the one place he never wanted to go to again, Daybreak Pond, Sadie's favorite place. His heart breaks as he sees the evidence of her love of this place but he sees sign that the dog could have been there so he set out to find a way to get the dog to come to him.

This is a story of a man and his family grieving the loss of a child. How to deal with their grief and how to deal with a God that they think took her from them. It's a heartwarming story of find God in the midst of a storm and giving Him your trust in the midst of your struggle. God has a plan and you will love it if you give Him the right to move in your mess.

Night Rumbles by Nancy Janes

My book review today is on a book that is different from most of the books I read. This book is a fantasy and I loved how Nancy filled it with adventure and mystery. Nancy did a great job of painting the picture in this fantasy world. Everything was so vivid and I could almost feel myself being there. The story is well written and I look forward to reading more of her work.

Brad is a 19 year old student. He is doing research on the things he is interested in. He's studying at the Science Academy and takes his work very seriously. Brad willingly enters the Netherworld knowing when he enters he will change form and will loose his memory. Brad wakes up in a new town two and one half feet tall and everything is different from what he's used to. This world is filled with darkness and his people work only at night. They are involved with humans on a daily basis and appear to only torment them. Brad is so confused by this strange town, the people he works with, and why he's here. As he wonders what has happened to him he finds no one here knows there past.

Brad interact with a mentor and twin students and becomes involved in their lives as he attends school there and studies the human. He takes several journeys into the human world to try to understand them as a part of his studies.

A story of good over evil; light over darkness. A great read! I know you will want to read it.

Smokescreen by Jodie Bailey

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Smokescreen. Jodie's books are awesome suspense stories but I must warn you; Do not start this book if you don't have time to finish it because you won't be able to put it down. This story is well written, fast paced, and full of action. She deals with the terrible facts of PTSD and how it can paralyze a person. She also deals with the fact that only God can deliver you from the fear, panic attacks, and set you free. It is an awesome story.

Ashley Colson had joined the military with the sole desire to go into Intelligence. That dream was stolen from her right before she was to go to the training school years ago when she was shot and almost died. The man that she loved left her on her hospital bed and took her place in the training. He never said a word just left her. Sean their best friend stood beside her but he was like a brother to her

This has been a great series, and this book is excellent, I look forward to the next book in the series. Sandra's books are always well written, full of action, and adventure. Frontier Engagement by Regina Scott

My review today is on the Love Inspired Historical, Frontier Engagement. This is the third book in the  Frontier Bachelors Series. I have enjoyed this series about the Mercer Belles; how came from the East around South America to Seattle. Men paid Mercer to get them brides but  the women that came didn't come to marry, they came to civilize Seattle. These stories are about women who were heartbroken and had no intention of ever marrying. I can't imagine giving up everything that you know and love to travel thousands of miles to an uncivilized world but you have to respect the people that did.

Alexandrina Eugenia Fosgrave grew up believing that she was a princess in exile. She was told that soon someone would come for her family to reinstate them as rulers of Battenburgia. Recently she found out that her parents picked her up somewhere on the trail; all their stories of the homeland were lies to steal from well meaning people. Now that her family has been put in prison she uses her last coins to get to Seattle. When James Wallin comes and asks her come out into the wilderness to teach school she doesn't know whether to believe him or not. She finally goes to his family for an interview. Rina as James calls her, is threatened and decides to accept a different position. James has promised to take her wherever she wants to go if things didn't go well. They make a fake engagement to protect her reputation as they travel across country.

James Wallin blames himself for the death of his father. He was supposed to watch out for problems when they cut down a tree, a tree limb fell and killed his father. It was all his fault, he could never trust himself to be responsible for anyone else. He would never marry but he hadn't planned on spending days in the wilderness with the beautiful Rina.

Two people on a journey to find trust, love, and forgiveness. A great story about faith and redemption. You will love this story, it's well written and full of surprises. God makes a way for us and even though it might not be what we think we want and it will be much greater than anything you had hoped for.

Forgotten Memories by Laura Scott

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Forgotten Memories. This book is the fourth book in the SWAT: Top Cops Series and it's an excellent example of Laura's work. I loved this book; it's well written, action packed, and full of surprises. I know you will enjoy the way she weaves her faith into the story, it will touch your heart.

Dr. Gabriella Fielding is leaving the hospital where she is a trauma surgeon when she is kidnapped. She is rescued by a man she had helped when he had been shot undercover. Gabby can't think of anyone who would do this but it is obvious that someone is trying to kill her.

SWAT Cop Shane Hawkins is going to the hospital when he witnesses the abduction of Gabby Fielding the woman who had saved his life a few years ago, a woman he can't seem to forget. Shane runs for the truck and holds on to the tailgate as the vehicle drives off. After rescuing Gabby they begin a search for the man that is trying to kill her.

A journey of two broken people just trying to survive the terror surrounding them. They soon learn that God has a plan for them and only trusting in Him is going to get them through this. That's the way it is in our lives, once we trust in God, He will get us out the mess we have made of our lives and puts on the path that He provided before the beginning of the world. God has a plan for you and it's wonderful to behold.

Proof of Innocence by Lenora Worth

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Proof of Innocence. This is the last book of the continuity series Capitol K-9 Unit and it was awesome. When I read these six book series I always wonder how they can possibly pull all these books together to make the overall story work but Lenora does an excellent job on this one. This story is well written, full of adventure, and almost impossible to put down. You will love the characters and the faith that is woven into their lives.

Erin Eagleton is on the run. Months ago she witnessed the murder of her boyfriend and the killer set out to frame her for the killing. She was abducted by his accomplice and was supposed to be killed but managed to escape. After all these months she is still trying to survive when her high school sweetheart rescues her. Now she has help trying to find the proof she needs to prove who the killer really is but the killer isn't about to let that happen.

Capitol K-9 Officer Chase Zachary has been searching for Erin ever since the murder months ago. He knows there is no way she could hurt anyone. Chase and his canine partner finally finds her and he vows to protect her and find the true killer. Chase has never stopped loving Erin and will risk everything to save her.

A great journey of two heartbroken people struggling to find proof of the murder and survive the dangers surrounding them. When they learn to trust the Lord, He shows them His awesome plan for their lives. His plan is always far greater than anything we could come up with. Trust God with your own problems and conflicts and He will show you the plans He has for you. God is so good!

Would-Be Wilderness Wife by Regina Scott

My review today is on the Love Inspired Historical, Would-Be Wilderness Wife. This is the second book in the Frontier Bachelors Series. I loved this book, it's a continuation of the Mercer Belles story. The story is well written, humorous, and adventurous. Regina also weaves her faith throughout the story and I love that. Her characters are complex but very loveable, you'll enjoy them.

Catherine Stanway is a nurse; trained by her doctor father. Her father and brother were killed in the war. Brokenhearted Catherine joins the Mercer Belles expedition to come to Seattle (first book) even though she has no intention of getting married. She now works for a doctor and has become invaluable to him. A man comes wanting help for his mother who was to ill to come to the town. The doctor and the nurse explain that they can't leave the many ill in Seattle to treat his mother. Upset he leaves.

Andrew Wallin is responsible for his four brothers, his sister, and mother now that his father died. When his mother comes down  with a deadly fever he goes to town to find someone to help her. Dejected that he can't get the help he needs he takes it out on his young brother. He sends his brother off  and runs errands, when he meets up with his brother he has everything loaded and drives them out of town. Drew learns much later that Levi has kidnapped the nurse so that Drew could marry her and she could heal their mother. Drew is not about to marry, he doesn't have time and he doesn't even know this woman.

So begins a journey of these characters. A story full of adventure, stalked by wild animals, harassed by neighbors, and a matchmaking family. God has a plan for this couple and when they learn to trust Him, He turns everything around for them. Isn't that just like God? He always has a plan for us if we can just get out of His way. It's always much greater than what we had ever planned.

Her father died recently; she had to give up her home to the doctor that came to take his place. Now Maude helped with the boarding house and would probably own it one day. The spinsters club had a party where a Scottish man asked her to come and be a companion to his mother, Maude refused. A few nights later a young girl came to the boarding house looking for her boyfriend who was a regular traveling salesman. Maude helped deliver her child but she later died, now Maude needed a way to care for the baby girl so she agrees to take the companion position if she can bring the baby and her nurse.

His mother is a cantankerous woman and has gone through a number of companions, now the housekeeper is threatening to quit if he didn't find someone to care for his mother. Let go And Let God by Sandra Becker

My review today is an Amish Romance: Let Go And Let God. This is the first book of Sandra's I've read but I enjoyed it. It is well written, heartwarming, and faith filled. Faith is a very important part of this story, I like that.

Ruth Byler just turned into a young woman and it is time for her Rumspringa. As a part of this she goes to visit Ant Sadie to stay a few days and to find out what God has planned for her life. Before she gets to her ant's she encounters an englischer, and is drawn to him she continues her plans to visit her ant. Imagine her shock when he is living next door to Sadie's.

James Townsend is a doctor going through his residency but James has a problem with alcohol. When his instructor finds him working with alcohol on his breath he is sent to Amish country to study the people. James is drawn to the little beauty that is staying next door. He knows she wouldn't fit into his life and he wouldn't fit into hers.

Amish White Christmas--Gingerbread Haus by Samantha Jillian Bayarr

My review today is on the last story in the novella Amish White Christmas. I have really enjoyed this whole book. The stories are well written, lighthearted, and humorous. I love the Amish stories and you will love getting to know these three young couples.

Eden Fisher fell in love with a little vacant cottage when she was but a child. She has wrapped all her hopes and dreams around this haus, she knows exactly how it should look. Now suddenly the haus is condemned is going to be torn down. Her heart is broken does this mean her dreams of happy ever after with Gabriel Miller is condemned too?

He has saved for years now the haus is condemned, can he convince the owner to let him buy it and get it restored before the end of the month? A great story of true love and happy ever after. This story brings all three of the couples together and is a wonderful ending of the book. I know you will enjoy it. God always has a beautiful plan for us and a happy ending if we will just trust Him and let Him work things out for our good.
