A Family for the Rancher by Louise M. Gouge

My review today is on the Love Inspired Historical, A Family for a Rancher. This is the second book in the continuity series Lone Star Cowboy League. I've enjoyed this series. This story is well written, faith based, and heartwarming. I know you'll enjoy it.

Widow Lula May Barlow is trying to run her husband's ranch. He had been ill for the last three years, had died recently, and she had managed to carry on. She has two step sons and three children of her own. Managing to keep her keep her struggles to herself, she is shocked when her next door neighbor shows up at her door. Becoming defensive just because of his presence she agrees to let her oldest son  attend a young ranchers club but only if the rancher allows her to feed him dinner. Now suddenly her abusive uncle threatens to come, take over her ranch, and her children. She had taken a necklace that her mom had given her when she left and her uncle is saying she stole it from him. Now the uncle is going to have her arrested.

Edmund McKay is a confirmed bachelor. He likes living a solitary, quiet life. He had a rough childhood and has no desire to have a family and a noisy home. He had agreed to teach a few kids how to do ranch work. It was a chance to pay back the cowboy who had helped him become a man. He felt he should ask the shy boy next door but it soon became clear to him that God called him to protect his mother. He finally agrees to take her to the newly formed cowboy league to save their ranches from rustlers.

These two have had bad childhoods, both had been abused and unloved. On top of that Lula May had been a mail-order bride and hadn't been loved by her husband. How could they open up and trust each other as her children turn into matchmakers? God has a plan for these two and plan they never knew they wanted but was wonderful. God has a plan for us too. A plan much greater than you have ever dreamed of.

I must let you know that I will not be posting next week. I'm going on a trip to my son's to visit. I'll be back in a week. God bless you all.

Fractured Memory by Jordyn Redwood

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Fractured Memory. I love  Jordyn's work and was thrilled to see that she had joined the LIS Authors. This story is well written, action packed and full of adventure. She wove her faith throughout the story like a tapestry, I like that.

Pediatric Nurse Julia Galloway was almost killed over a year ago by a serial killer. The "Hangman" had hung her but she had been rescued in time. She had spent the last eighteen months trying to get her life back but the memories of that night were locked up somewhere in her mind. Although one of the doctors Julia worked with had been arrested and awaited a death sentence her name and information had been found on a hit list. Could the killer be someone else? Could the "hangman" have a partner? Why was someone after her? Who was this marshal that was helping her? Why did he seem so familiar?

US Marshal Eli Cayne had been the police detective that was first on scene at Julia hanging. He had saved her life and had done everything he could to help her during her recovery but it was obvious when he came to her home that those memories were lost in her injured mind. He would do everything he could to protect this woman and find this killer. Unfortunately he didn't think he could protect his heart, she had already stolen that.

A journey of two broken soul trying to survive in a world suddenly exploding all around them. God has a plan for these two and it is marvelous in His eyes. God has a plan for you too. It is a plan to give you a hope and a future. Turn your life over to God and watch Him turn your life around. He just wants to be your father and to love you.

The Pregnant Amish Nanny by Samantha Price

My review today is on The Pregnant Amish Nanny. This is book 6 in the Expectant Amish Widows Series. This book is well written, humorous, and heart warming. I enjoyed the book very much. I'm sure you will too. I always like a good Amish story.

Courtney was left a widow just a few months ago. She is also expecting a child; a fact she has kept hidden from the people in her life. Her in-laws blamed her for her husbands death and had taken everything from her. She move to a larger community to find work and start over but had found nothing. She is thrilled when she had a chance to become a nanny in a different community. Her employer took one look at her and knew she was expecting and he was very upset. She told him she was capable of caring for his family and her child. Just give her a chance.

Aaron's wife died a year ago and had left him with three lively children. His sister-in-law has been helping him with them while he works but it has become to much since she has three children of her own. He wrote his aunt and asked her to find a older nanny. When she wrote and told him she had found one he was excited but when she arrived he was very angry to find out she was young, beautiful, and obviously pregnant. How could he expect her to stay?  All the men would be running to his door.

A journey of two people who have lost the love of their lives and are trying to figure out a way to go on. God has a plan for these two and it was much greater than either of them had ever hoped for. God is like that. He has a plan for you too. And it is an awesome plan. Turn your life over to Him and trust Him to turn your life around.
