Rescuing Her Repentant Outlaw by Chloe Carley

My review today is on the Christian Historical Romance, Rescuing Her  Repentant Outlaw. This book was sent to me to read, the review is in my own words. This book is different as almost all of the characters are outlaws but it turn out right. The story is well written and full of twists and turns. I know you are going to love it.
Chase Burnette and his twin brother Victor are outlaws. The story starts when they rob a stagecoach and make $10,000 plus bags of gold nuggets. Chase wants to quit, go to Mexico, and buy a ranch. Victor talks him out of that and they go to Albuquerque. There they barely escape the law and Chase is shot. Victor leaves him for dead. He takes all the money, food, and supplies. Chase makes it onto his horse and takes off across the desert. He prays for God's help. He wakes up to the face of an angel.
Margarita Montoya lives in the small town of Plaxico. She works in a bar and has no hope for a future. Her brother, Mateo is the head of the gang Lobos Rojos, a gang of thieves and murders. She and her brother find Chase on the desert floor. He is almost dead. Mateo removes the bullet and Margarita nurses him to health. Only to have him arrested during a church service for breaking outlaws out of jail. He had been in bed dying but the law men didn't care.
A journey of two broken souls trying to survive law officers, demons, the Lobos Rojos gang, and the Mescaleros, Indian boys gang all trying to kill them. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Colorado Manhunt. This is two novellas by two great authors. The stories are well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love them.

Bounty Hunter Lauren Dillard has tracked her target to the mountains. She sees him at a diner and approaches him as he leaves but finds he is the twin brother and not her target after all. He seems to be a target of his brother's enemies.
Jason Cortez is tired of being mistaken for his brother. Now he partners up with Lauren to find his brother and stay ahead of the killers.
They must fight the elements of the mountains as hired killers track them through the Rockies.

Trained to Defend by Christy Barritt

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Trained to Defend. This is the first book in the Continuity Series K-9 Mountain Guardians. This is a great read just like all of Christy's books. It's well written, action packed and full of faith. I know you are going to love this one.
Sarah Peterson worked for a scientific genius who has come up with a medical miracle. She comes home after an art show to find her boss's dog locked in her closet and a masked man standing over her boss's body. The dog knocked the man over and he lost consciousness. Loretta told her to run and not trust anyone not even the police. She must take Buzz (the dog) with her, then she died. Sarah grabbed the dog, his bag, and ran. The only place she could go was to the man she loved but left.
Former Detective Colton Hawk was awakened by a car pulling into his driveway at 4:30 in the morning. He was amazed to see Sarah, his Sarah! The only woman he ever loved. She is only wearing a cocktail dress and no shoes, she collapses in the snow. The dog with her looked at him like help her. What had she gotten herself into?
A journey of staying one step ahead of the police (as she has been set up) and to find out who the killer is and why he's after Sarah. Finding Her Everlasting Love by Carol Colyer

My review today is on the Western Romance, Finding her Everlasting Love. This is a great read. It's well written and will touch your heart. I know you're going to love it.
Colleen O'Reilly's mother recently died leaving her two younger daughters with no one to care for them but Colleen. She can't stay in the tenement but must leave. She answers a mail order bride ad. He comes to New York to meet her. They marry the next day. He gives her money for clothes and the train ticket. When they arrive she tells her husband they are her daughters. She made a big mistake as he no longer trusts her because she lied to him.
Marcus Stanton owns a ranch in Colorado. He is quite prosperous but very lonely. He sends out an advert for a mail order bride. He's thrilled when she answers and travels to New York to meet her. They marry the next day. When she arrives with two young daughters he wants nothing to do with his new wife. His is drawn to the girls but explodes when he fines out they aren't her daughters but her sisters.
A slow painful journey as they become closer as a family. Then he learns the girls are really her sisters and he blows up. How can they continue? Colleen decides she must leave the ranch and make it on her own. God has a plan for this little family; a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too if you give Him a chance to move in your life.

My review today is on the Historical Western Romance, A Love to Redeem His Haunted Heart. This is book eleven in this series. The story is well written and full of twist and turns. Ot will make you laugh and it will make you cry. I know you are going to love this one.
Charles Thomas is lonely. He has everything he ever wanted but since his brother left to go back to the mine there's no one to share it with. He decides to write an ad for a mail order bride. He is very pleased with her letters and invites her to come west. Just before she is to arrive a man he thought was his best friend comes to the ranch to blackmail him; he steals his identity, his ranch and his mail order bride. There appears to be nothing he can do to stop it.
Emmeline has been a governess most of her adult life. She decides she wants a life of her own. She answers a mail order bride ad and then moves to Montana. When she arrives the man is nothing like she expects. He can't remember anything from the letters they had shared. Could this be the man that wrote the letters? She couldn't believe he was the same man. She seeks help from the foreman.
A horrifying journey to escape the clutches of a man set of revenge. The feisty little woman is unlike any that Charles has ever encountered. One Enchanted Eve by Melissa Tagg

My review today is on the Romance, One Enchanted Eve. This is book two in the Enchanted Christmas Series. I have never read any of Melissa's books before but I really enjoyed this one. This book is well written, humorous, and delightful. I know you are going to love it.
Rylan Jefferson is a teacher in a culinary school. She had her own bakery but lost it and her boyfriend at the same time. She broke off her relationship with her family because of the situation. Now she teaches others to bake but she still has her dreams. There is one man who is trying to destroy her class. He drives her crazy. He won't follow her recipes but is always experimenting. She wants to throw him out but somehow ends up spending Christmas break at his home.
Colin Renwycke has a problem. He has never accomplished anything in his life. His brother has bailed him out over and over. Now he is in the Denver Culinary School trying to become a pastry chef. He keeps experimenting with all his recipes partly to watch his teacher blow up. She's so cute when she's mad. He is about to be expelled when he asks Rylan to go home with him and he'll help her use some imagination in her recipe that she must submit to win a position in her boss's new bakery. That will give him time to convince her to keep him in her class.
A delightful journey of two broken people who learn to work well together and reconcile with their families. Although it blows up in their face at times. I know you will enjoy this book.

Lone Survivor by Jill Elizabeth Nelson

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Lone Survivor. Jill is one of my favorite authors. I'm always excited to get one of her books in the mail. This is an excellent book and I know you are going to love it. It's well written, action packed and full of faith.
Karissa Landon is excited to meet with her last living relative; it had been twenty-two years since they had seen each other. She arrives a half an hour early only to find her cousin dead on her floor and a baby's soft cry. As she was running back to her car, a pick up pulls up and a man gets out with a gun. She rushes out the back door. Someone is following her and is shooting at her.
Ex-firefighter Hunter Raines is swinging an ax enjoying the cabin his brother had offered him to heal from the injury that almost took his life; when a woman and child comes running towards him calling for help. The twin sister of the woman he couldn't save. He is broken how can he help her and the baby. He must protect them.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Danger in the Deep. I'm a big fan of Karen's and I'm so glad she is writing for LIS now. I really enjoy her suspense stories. This one is excellent. It's well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.
Olivia Smith works for the North Carolina Coastal Aquarium. She's a widow, her husband had died eleven months ago with an aneurysm. Tonight her husband's best friend is coming to the Aquarium with a group of at risk kids. Olivia and Brady didn't get along well so she is really nervous about being with him all night. Something goes wrong with her suit and her equipment in a dive. Brady jumps into help her. She almost drowns. She had checked her equipment, what could have gone wrong?
US Marine Corps Pilot Brady Johnson is a loner. He has been all his life he was abandoned by his parents and neglected, his grandmother tried but was old and he had to care for her. He had only one close friend and he resented the woman that married Derek. He felt like he must check on her though. He knew the dead man's secrets. Then in one night several attempt are made on Olivia's life. Brady now knows what his best friend saw in her. He must keep her safe.

Amish Country Kidnapping by Mary Alford

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Amish Country Kidnapping. I really enjoy Mary's work. This is a great example of her books. It's well written, action packed and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.
Amish widow Rachel Albrecht woke to find a man standing over her. His hand over her nose and face.
She manages to get away from the man thinking only of her sister. When she entered her sister's room it is empty. She's been taken. She runs barefooted through the woods to the neighbors. A car stops to help her. Her rescuer is her first love, an Englischer.
Deputy Sheriff Noah Warren couldn't believe his eyes. Standing before him on the road was the only woman who had stolen his heart. She stood in her nightgown, barefooted on the icy road. "Are you hurt he asks," "I think they have my sister." she told him.

That Crazy Weekend Part One by D.A. Bourne


My review today is on the Christian Novel, That Crazy Weekend. This is Part one of the story. This book was sent to me to read and my review is in my own words. I had never read any of D.A. work before. This book is really not my cup of tea but it is well written. It was a little hard for me to get through the first part of the book.
The story is about the Phat Five. Five best buddies and their once a year weekend that is at Windsor College called Jam Fest.
Teddy  and his girlfriend has moved to Windsor College to be on the Jam Fest Committee. He promised his buds to get them free passes but shortly after his arrival at the school his girl friend got saved and he soon followed her down the aisle. He is thrilled with his new life except he doesn't know how to tell his buddies.
Ajani works for Fed Ex but deals drugs on the side. He has a girl friend and a son. His coworker in the drug operation is jealous of his relationship with the big boss and sets him up to look like he has betrayed his boss. Now the boss is out to destroy him. During his trip to Jam Fest he is to make a delivery that will destroy him.
Eros is a player. He is currently living with a woman but that is not going to stop him much when he is a Jam Fest. He sets up a meet with an woman he met before but didn't sleep with. The one that got away. His father produces porn and Eros is insatiable. It's all he thinks of or talks about.
Q is the only one of the five to marry. He's only been married nine months. When he married her he had hoped to be professional ball player but due to an injury he couldn't play any more. Now he must make it up to his wife so he works as many hours as he can basically neglecting his wife.
K.J. is a hair dresser. He was once a part of a rapper duo. He wrote the verse but his partner went on to be famous and K.J. was left behind although he did write verse for him for awhile. His ex partner stole his girl friend and now K.J.'s one desire is to win the Jam Fest. His ex partner comes to his shop to tell him he will be competing with him this year.
Thus sets you up for that crazy week end. God has a plan for these men. A good plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A plan for a hope and a future. God loves you and only wants good for you. Give Him your heart and watch change your life.

Secret Mountain Hideout by Terry Reed

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Secret Mountain Hideout. I really like Terry's work so I'm always thrilled to get a copy of her books in the mail. She does a great job on anything in suspense and intrigue. This story is no exception, it is well written, action packed but full of faith. I know you are going to love this one.
Ashley Willis is hiding in a small town in Colorado. A year and a half ago she witnessed a murder. The manager of the restaurant had helped her get out of LA; now that man is in a fire at the restaurant. Ashley calls to see how badly he is injured but opens a door for the murder to find her. She doesn't want to leave the town but now she has no choice. A detective is in town looking for her. Grabbing her to go bag she heads for the bus stop. The deputy sheriff comes to stop her.
Deputy Sheriff Chase Fredrick recognizes the picture  the detective is showing around town. He heads to the bus stop to keep Ashley from running. He'll protect her from whatever danger she is in. He talks her out of running only to hand her over to the detective; then finds out that the man who took her isn't who he says he is but the actual hired killer. Now he must find her and keep his promise of protection.

If the Shoe Fits by Laurie LeClair

My review is on the Romantic Comedy, If the Shoe Fits. This is the first book in the Once Upon a Romance Series. It's a delightful, modern day Cinderella story. It's well written, humorous, and delightful. I know you are going to love it. I look forward to reading the two stories of her step sisters.
Charlotte King is a graphic designer in her deceased father's department store, Kings. Her step mother refuses to work with her and update the store. She is called to a family dinner where her mother is trying to marry off her oldest daughter to a man dubbed by the press as Prince Charming. Charlie is determined to marry the girl off. Hopefully then her mother will listen to her business ideas. She is blown away when she meets the only man she's ever been attracted to.
Alexander Royale, millionaire playboy, is to be offered up to marry one of the King's daughters. His grandparents want a grandchild, an heir. They are both having health issue so the time has come. The evening had been the most boring night he has ever endured until Charlie breezes in. She changes everything. Knowing this deal will probably mean she'll never forgive him, he makes a deal to buy the store to marry Charlie.
A humorous journey of ups and down as they both try to figure out just what is it they want and what is important. This is a great trip.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Fatal Flashback. This is Kellie's debut book for LIS. I really enjoyed it and look forward to her next book. She is a good addition to the club. This story is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.
FBI Agent Ashley Thompson was undercover. She is hit over the head and thrown over a ridge into the river and left for dead. She remembers her name but that's all. She is out in the middle of nowhere. She has a gun so she must be law enforcement. She remembers she's not speaking terms with God so she can't even pray. A man shows up wearing a uniform and wants to help. He manages to take her gun from her and gets her to her vehicle. Her name in her purse says Ashley Watson. What's going on?
Ranger Logan Everett has been to a meeting with the park rangers and the border patrol. It lasted longer than he expected. It was late. He had seen a black sedan drive past about an hour ago but it never returned. He felt something was wrong and the driver had looked like a woman. He goes to investigate. Sure enough he finds her car. As he searches the area finds a woman's watch in mint condition. He goes further and finds a woman who has obviously been injured. He soon finds out she is a new ranger and he is to train her.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, True Blue K-9 Unit Christmas. This is the last book in the True Blue K-9 Unit Continuity Series. This book contains two stories by a couple of my favorite authors. I already reviewed the first story a couple of weeks ago. This is the review of the second story:
Crime Scene Christmas by Maggie K. Black. I really enjoyed this one; it is well written, action packed and full of faith. I know you will love it.
Danielle Abbot is a computer expert at the New York City K-9 Unit. She is really into the Christmas scene but as she is leaving her office six days before the holiday she finds an envelope in her bag. Who would put it in there. The envelope had two words on it; Please find. Inside is a picture of a little girl about eighteen months old. How could she find her. On her way home she is attacked.
K-9 Officer Teddy Kowalski and his partner Garfunkel are on their too headquarters when his partner alerts to something. He sees nothing wrong but trusts his partner and gives him his leash. He finds the beautiful computer tech in the alley with a gun pointed at her head. Can he save her before the man can shoot her?
A journey of mystery searching for a small child in a huge city. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. Trust Him to change your life. He is a good good God.
