Lady Ever After by Tamara Leigh

My review today is on the Medieval  Romance, Lady Ever After. This is the second book in the Beyond Time, A Medieval Time Travel Series. This book is awesome! I really liked the first book in this series and wanted to see how she handled this one. This book takes place now and in the Fifteenth Century. You are going to love this story; it is well written, full of adventure, and very intriguing. I really enjoyed every minute of it but I really liked the end.

Collier Gilchrist Morrow is a successful business man in England. He was badly hurt in an accident while mountain climbing. He has become addicted to pain killers when his girl friend finds out she leaves him and goes back to the US. He goes to a rehab center to get clean, buys a ring, and is determined to make Aryn his wife. When he returns home he finds Aryn has died. He is beside himself; he has lost everything dear to him. He stares at the only thing left to him that means anything. It is a painting of a woman who was killed in the attack on Stivling Castle in the Fifteenth Century. As he lays on his couch the paint covering her face falls off and he looks at his beloved, Aryn. He prays for another chance he is struck down by the portrait and lands in the fifteenth century. Could he save Catherine Algernon from certain death and help the man that would become his forefather. Could he see Catherine as herself and not his Aryn? Is it too soon to love again?

Catherine Algernon is living in Stivling Castle; they are under siege and she is at the end of the road. She has seen the picture of her death in her dreams and knows it will be soon. As she sleeps a man is found in her room calling her Aryn. She screams and men come running to throw her in the dungeon but now her dream has changed. She is saved from death but is told she must marry this man who saved her life, Collier Gilchrist, a commoner. Catherine is a Lancastrian and the man she is to marry is a Yorkist, a hated enemy. Not only was her hatred livid he kept calling her another woman's name. How could they live this way?

A great journey of two times intertwining. It reminds me kind of Brigadoon. God has a plan for these souls from two very different worlds. A plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. Your story might not be from two different times but usually you come from two different worlds. Opposites work well together and balance each other out. God is so good; so give him your heart and watch him turn your life around.

Deadly Memories by Mary Alford

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Deadly Memories. This is only the third book Mary has written for LIS and I'm thrilled with her work. I hope to read a lot more of her books. This story is well written, fast paced, and action packed. The story is also full of faith and I like that. I know you will love this book.

CIA Agent Kyle Jennings is in the desert on an assignment when he finds a woman out in the middle of nowhere. Is she a victim of is she working with the gunrunner he is searching for? She appears to have no memory of who she is or where she even came from. He soon finds out she is a missionary that had been abducted and held for years. It was uncanny how much she looked like his wife who died seven years ago, but he had buried her and she was gone.

Missionary Ella Weiss had been held captive for seven years. She had returned to consciousness many years ago after a severe head trauma. The only thing she knew was shat she had been told. Her family had been killed in the same attack she had been injured in. She manages to escape her cell and goes in search for the child Joseph that had been her fellow prisoner. She finds herself out side and in the middle of nowhere. She had been tortured, starved and experimented on while being held but the only thing important was this child. She had to find him. When Kyle comes to her rescue she realizes he is the man they have trained her to kill. She's a missionary can she kill someone even if it is to save the child?

A great journey of trying to find answers to the past while running from the men who are out to destroy them and his team. God has a plan for these two a plan for a hope and a future. A future they never thought possible. God has a plan for you too. Trust Him, give Him your heart and watch Him turn your life upside down. God is so good.

The Vexing by Tamara Leigh

My review today is on The Vexing. This is the sixth book of the Age of Faith: A Medieval Romance Series. I have waited for this story and I am thrilled with the book. Tamara, I must say you did Sir Durand justice. I loved the book and really look forward to The Awakening. This book takes place in the twelfth century, a time I love to read about it but would not like to live there.

Sir Durand Marshal is in the Queen's Personal Guard. He is known by her as her Gallant Monk although it is not a good title for the handsome knight. He has a dishonorable past concerning women and the queen is aware of it. He is trying to make it up to those whom he has dishonored. He doesn't understand that he has already been forgiven by the ones he had harmed. He is on his way to meet the king and queen when he runs into a group Count Verielle's men pursuing a young woman and her three knights on the King's land. He tries to rescue the woman only to be attacked by her. He must throw her to the ground or lose his seat and both be trampled by his warhorse. They take the woman and her men to the Queen but they refuses to tell him her name or her business in crossing the king's land. The woman is vexing and he wants no part of her. When he hears that her name is Beatrix the same as his beloved he almost becomes sick. Only to be told that he must escort the woman to her father.

Lady Beatrix, known as the Vestral Wife and now the Vestral Widow as she was married to a man old enough to be her grandfather and the man had never consummated the marriage, was on her way to meet with her father at his command. Her father had no heir since his wife of sixteen had given him two still born sons and one that was surely going to die. He would marry his daughter off to a man who needed money that he would become the baron in his place. Lady Beata, (What she wanted everyone to call her) must tell no one about being the heiress for then the queen would marry her off to the man of her choice. She is determined to escape Sir Durand's escort.

A journey of attacks, shipwrecks, and mysteries. Durand and Beata struggle to get to her father. As they arrive the child has already died and her father had set up a marriage. It is Sir Durand job to stop the marriage until the queen decides who she shall marry. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future, of good and not for evil. God has a plan for you too. Give Him your heart and watch Him work

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, High Desert Hideaway. This is only the second book of Jenna's I've read and I look forward to her next story. This one is well written, action packed and fast paced. I know you will love this one. I enjoyed revisiting Elijah and the Vanishing the Darkness biker gang.

Lily Doyle worked late and accidentally over heard two of the truckers talking; she wasn't able to hear much of their conversation but enough that it was something illegal. They saw here and chased her. She ran to a gas station but they caught her and held her hostage. There was no doubt in Lily's mind that they were going to kill her as one of the men held a gun to her head. The other men held the other customers at gunpoint. How many were going to die because of her?

I love K-9 stories and you are going to love Robo in this one. This story is well written, full of intrigue, and mystery. Missing children has got to be the worst horror a parent or cop can deal with. This story deals with this subject in a great way.

K-9 Officer Mattie Cobbs and her K-9 partner Robo are called out to find a missing child only to find that child lying dead in a hidden spot. Now she is faced with finding another child; a child that is very close to her. She has been having problems of her own with past issues. She had seen herself a part of Cole's family but has pulled a way from him and his daughters feeling he still loves his ex-wife. Now she is going to find his child or die trying.

Veterinary Cole Walker is a single parent caring for two young girls. He cares for Mattie but she has been pulling away from him. He could see that finding the girl's dead body is really hurting her; when his daughter comes up missing Mattie is the first person he calls. Now starts an unending nightmare. They have so many suspects but no evidence to lead them to any of them.

A struggle to find a much loved child, a police force giving all they have, and a town that steps up helps search for this little girl. A great story!
