Snow Angel by Davalynn Spencer

My review today is on the Christmas novella, Snow Angel. I really enjoy Davalynn's books and was thrilled to receive a copy of it. This story was sent to me but I wasn't required to review it but it's so good I have to share it. This story is inspirational and heart warming. You will laugh and you will cry but you won't be able to put it down.
In the prologue  Lena is just a little girl when she sneaks out of the house to make snow angels because her brother refused to go with her. She gets lost and finally lays down and sleeps. A stranger with bright blue eyes picks her up and carries her to her parent's bed. She believes him to be an angel but no one believes her. Because of frost bite she looses three of her fingers. Now twenty years later she lives with her brother who feels guilty for the loss of her fingers. It's obvious no man will want her. She doesn't mind the thought of being a spinster but hates that her brother refuse to date so he can care for her. She not only keeps his house but works as his nurse. Tay, her brother, bring home a man that has been injured. He was robbed, dragged by his horse, and left sitting by a tree. They set his leg and treats all his wounds. He's a rough man that frightens the young girl and his dog was even more so.
Wil Bergman was on his way to Pine Hill to stay with his uncle. He planned to stay with him for a while and then get a little place of his own. The doctor tells him his broken leg is a serious injury and he will be unable to leave for weeks. He is drawn to the young doctors wife but soon finds out she is his sister. She is very shy with him but can be bossy when it comes to his care. Although he cares deeply for Lena he has absolutely nothing to offer a woman.
When Lena shares about the man who saved her and that she thinks he is an angel; he actually believes her. God has a plan for these two a good plan and not for evil. God has a plan for you too. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.

Looking for Justice by Linda K. Rodante

My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, Looking for Justice. This is the third book in the Target Book Set. I really enjoy Lind's books and I know you are going to love this one. This book is well written; the story deals with the issue of rape and abuse. Linda does a good job handling this situation. It's not an easy subject to deal with. Faith is interwoven throughout all of the story like a fine tapestry.
Lawyer Alexis Jergenson is burned out with dealing with rapists, abusers, and the poor victims. Each time she puts a man away it helps her deal with the two rapes she lived through. Now she is starting over. She accepts a job teaching Pre-Law in the Appalachian Christian College. She's not a Christian but is hired anyway. The first day she is late and running up the stairs when she runs into a hard male body. They fall down the steps and she finds it's one of the few men who doesn't seem to want her here. The man isn't happy; especially when she later runs into him at his ranch and she's caught feeding his horse. A sudden storm comes up and she can't make it back to town. She ends up stranded at his house. Fear almost consumes her but he leaves her alone.
Ex-Military Professor Luke Stevenson was injured in the war. He has come to the ranch to recuperate and is teaching Bible and business classes at the Christian College. He is divorced from a beautiful woman who couldn't deal with his injuries.  He doesn't need a relationship with this beautiful lawyer that is bond to leave him hurt again. When one of his students comes to tell him she was raped and is now pregnant; he knows Alexis, with her background  is the only one to help her. He takes her to Alexis and tells them he will help in any way he can. He and Alexis go to Jessica's home when she misses school and find her mother's boyfriend has attacked her again. The man runs off but the police are called and Jessica is taken to the hospital.
A struggle with a violent man who wants to destroy them for bringing his sins out in the open. Their lives are in grave danger. Luke must keep them all alive but is thrown for a loop when he finds that Alexis isn't a Christian and they can have no relationship. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. You might not have a killer trying to hunt you down but you do have and enemy that's trying to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus came to give you life and that more abundantly. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.

Fatal Response by Jodie Bailey

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense. Fatal Response. I'm always thrilled to get one of Jodie's books in the mail. She's one of my favorites. This story is well written action packed and full of faith. I know you are going to love this one.
Firefighter Erin Taylor is at the fire station alone. It's been a long night and she has cleaned and buffed every thing in sight. She is having a restless night. For the last two weeks a dark car would drive into the parking lot. It would shine the headlights into the station, the engine stayed on, and no one ever got out; then it would leave. The random drive-bys poked her creepy-meter a little bit. No one else seemed bothered about it but her. Tonight she heard a noise out back. A little red Mustang comes in hot, a young woman gets out and comes towards Erin saying please don't hurt him. Erin backs up. The dark sedan comes roaring up the driveway and hits the woman. As she's feeling for a pulse, footsteps run up behind her. Oh no her ex-husband!

He wasn't going to let anyone else die on his watch. She repays him by driving her head into the side of his jaw. She breaks away from him and turns on him like a tornado, a very familiar tornado.  He had rescued his ex-wife.
A struggle of these two broken souls as someone is trying to kill all of Jason's team's families. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him work in your life.

Warrior by Linda K Rodante

My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, Warrior. This is the seventh book in the Dangerous Series. I have never read any of Linda's books before but I hope to read more of her work. This story really spoke to me as we are in the process of finding a new pastor. Ours has retired and we are believing for a man with vision that will take us to the next level. We are a soul winning church, a small Christian school, and a small group of people that love God. I really appreciated this story. We don't have a homeless population but there are hurting people here. This book is well written, full of scripture to help us rise up, and a call to action. I know you are going to love this book.

He doesn't feel called to this place but he is called to keep Josh safe and help him. He will stay and help until God shows him what he is called to do. Explosive Force by Lynette Eason

My review today is one the Love Inspired Suspense, Explosive Force. This is the sixth book in the continuity series Military K-9 Unit. I have really enjoyed this series and Lynette is one of my favorite authors. This story is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.
First Lieutenant Heidi Jenks is a news reporter for CAF News. She is upset about the stories she is being assigned. Most of them are just plain boring; like stolen medals. She would rather be out there working on the Red Rose Killer case. She just finished an interview at the church and was walking home. Speaking her thoughts into her voice activated recorder when she saw someone come out of the K-9 Training Center. The man wore a dark hoodie, he pulled it back and removed a ski mask, then looked right at her. His eyes locked on hers causing ice to flow through her veins, he turned and looked at the center and then took off. Another man came out the door; she yelled "Run Bobby " just as the building exploded. She had a feeling the man would be back, she had seen his face,  this could be the biggest story she ever had.
First Lieutenant Nick Donovan and his partner Annie came on the scene. They were members of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit. They would have to wait awhile before they could investigate. Annie was an explosives detection dog. He was angry when he saw Heidi talking to one of the investigators. He had no use for reporters. She sure didn't waste any time, how did she hear about the explosion so quickly? Why did she look so disheveled? Annie alerted. He bent over to take a sample when Heidi started talking to him. He was shocked to find she was not only involved in the explosion but saw the bomber. As much as he hated reporters he felt he must keep her safe.
A struggle with a cold blooded killer. Can they stay one step ahead of this mad man? God has a plan for these two; a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil.
Give him your heart and watch Him move in your mess.

Destiny Whirlwind by Catherine Ulrich Brakefield
