Show Me a Second Chance by Alexa Verde

 My review today is on the Christian Romance, Show Me a Second Chance. This is book two in the Cowboy Crossing Series. I'm always thrilled to receive Alexa's next book. This one wasn't a disappointment. I really liked if. It's well written, heartwarming, and full of faith. I know you are going love it.

Kimberly Byrd returns to Cowboy Crossing when she feels threatened by a possible stalker. Her uncle's B & B will be a good place to hide. She had left twenty years ago. She had promised to return the next year but because of an accident that killed her sister and her severe injuries she hadn't been able to come back. She knew she had broken the heart of her first love. Now that she has returned she must stay away from the handsome cowboy. He can't know her secret.

Mac Clark had loved Kimberly with all his heart. He had never gotten over his love for her. He had married finally and had a beautiful little girl but her alcoholic mother had taken off and left them. When Kimberly shows up in town again he torn between protecting his heart and his child and wanting a second chance with the woman he loves.

A troublesome journey to try to find protection for his heart and his child while trying to protect Kimberly. God has a plan for these three; a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too; a good plan and not for evil. God's hands are tied during this turmoil for we have kicked Him out of our schools, our midst, and government. Hard Landing by Edie James

 My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, Hard Landing. This is book one in the Hope Landing Series. This is the first book I've read of Edie's but I will read more. I really enjoyed the story. It's well written, action packed, and full of drama. Faith is a vital part of this story. I know you are going to love it.

Kellie Spencer is disturbed when she goes out to go to work. She's had a rough time with a stalker so her mind automatically goes in that direction when she see men's footprints in her drive. Then she remembers her father is taking her jeep in to put new tires on. A police officer comes to her office tell her that her father has been in an accident. Her brakes had failed. They soon find out that her brake lines had been cut. Could it be her stalker? Her father calls for help. Kellie doesn't need to see that man again. He broke her heart.

Ex-SEAL Jake Reese now works for Knight Tactical; he and his team had been recruited when their boss retired and started his own investigating firm. He had loved Kellie but chose to leave her and join the Navy ten years ago. He didn't plan to ever return to Hope Landing or to Kellie. He let her down. How would she feel about him? He had to keep her safe and find this mad man.

A journey to stay one step ahead of a mad man. This process is full of twists and turns. They must protect Kellie and the staff of Spencer Aviation. Alaskan Showdown by Sarah Varland

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Alaskan Showdown. I'm always thrilled to receive one of Sarah's books in the mail. She does an awesome job on intrigues. This book is no exception. It's well written, fast paced, and full of action. Faith is woven through this story like a fine tapestry. I know you are going to love it.

Search and rescue worker Adriana Steele and her partner, Blue were out looking for a missing hiker. They find her at the bottom of the lake. (Blue is also a cadaver dog) She sets on her tail gate as she watches law enforcement  deal with the body. She knows they will want to talk to her. It was her dog that found the body after all; just as long as it isn't the one officer she can't work with. It's so hard for her and Blue to find dead bodies especially after the loss of her love five years ago. As she sits there thinking about that day she has a panic attack. It's witnessed by the man she least wants to deal with. He comforts her and saves her life.

Police Officer Levi Wicks had been investigating a serial killer. His boss had told him there wasn't enough evidence to continue the search so now feeling defeated, he's out in the field with another dead woman. A woman the right age for the serial killer's victim. Could this be related? Could the cold cases he found be the killer's first victims? As he comforts Adriana someone takes a shot at them. Can he keep her safe. What have they got themselves into?

A journey to find the victims of  the serial killer and keep Adriana safe. The killer doesn't want the bodies found. Can Adriana be the next victim? Tracking the Kidnapper by Valerie Hansen

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Tracking a Kidnapper. This is book five in the continuity series, True Blue K-9 Unit: Brooklyn. I've enjoyed this series, it's been written by some of my favorite authors. This story is full of action, faith, twists and turns. I know you are going to love it.

K-9 Officer Vivienne Armstrong and her partner Hank were at the promenade for a run on her day off. She heard a mother's scream that she couldn't find her two year old son. Hank is a search and rescue dog; she gives him a toy and he takes off. They find the child and report a description of the kidnapper. The FBI Agent sees the kidnapper taking their pictures. What is going on? Is this a human trafficking ring or just an impulsive abduction.

FBI Agent and Profiler Caleb Black is in a meeting. He is to help the K-9 Unit by profiling the Killer of a twenty year old case. He is on his way to interview one of the survivors of that case when Sergeant Gavin Sutherland gets a call about the abduction. They are on their way but Caleb couldn't help remembering the loss of his own family. He had not been able to save them. He wanted to help save this child. The K-9 officer has saved the boy. He sees the kidnapper and stops an attack. Can he keep this woman safe?

Hunted by Margaret Daley

 My review is on the Christian Suspense, Hunted. This is book one in the Everyday Heroes Series. I always enjoy Margaret's work. This one is no exception I really liked it. This story is well written, action  packed and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.

Search and Rescue Worker Luke Michaels is sleeping in the wilderness when his dog wakes him. He sees two men yelling on top of the bridge in the distance. There is a woman standing with them. One of the men hits her in the face and then the men throw her over the bridge. Luke can see she is wrapped up in chains. He dives in and saves the woman. When she can talk to him she is unable to remember what happened to her. She refuses to allow him to call the police. What is going on?

Megan Witherspoon wakes up and can't remember the last twenty-four hours. She is rescued but she knows she can't call the police. The police are some how involved and she can't trust them. She's a teacher. She lives a dull life. Why would anyone want to kill her.

A horrific journey to find answers and stay a step ahead of these killers. Luke calls in the State Patrol as his best friend is working for them. Can they find answers before they find them. God has a plan for them, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. In this time of turmoil we need His help. The Prince and the Pie Maker by Shanae Johnson

 My review today is on the Romance, The Prince and the Pie Maker. This is book two in The Rebel Royals Series. I really enjoy Shanae's work. I like that it's clean, humorous, and totally delightful. I know you are going to love this book. You have to love her characters.

In book one Playboy Prince Alexander met the best chef ever. His brother the king is marrying the pie maker's best friend. Alex wants no part of the throne or the royal life style. He tours the world looking for new delightful spices and dishes. He helps with food distribution and environmental projects around the world but lets the press make him look like a playboy out for one thing. In book one he brings the pie make to his country to enter a contest. He helps her and they win. Now he has decided he wants to open a restaurant with this amazing chef. Once he brings her over to his way of thinking he begins to have feeling for her.

Jan Peppers was left at the altar and if that wasn't bad enough she watched him marry his old girl friend at her wedding. Her family had paid for the wedding. She would never trust another man. Her ex owns half of her pie shop and is trying to stop her from doing new pies and experimenting with spices. She is at the end of her rope when the prince comes into her shop with an offer she can't refuse. Slowly this man is winning over her heart. How can she keep her heart safe?

A delightful journey into a royal kingdom. His backers want him to marry so that he will gain his inheritance as a safe guard on their investment. So they enter into a fake engagement,  the press harass them, and everyone is up in arms. A truly delightful story.

 My review today is on the Christian Romance, Show Me a Marriage of Convenience. This is book one in the Cowboy Crossing Series. I really enjoy Alexa's work and I'm thrilled when she brings out another book. This is an awesome love story. It's well written and heart warming. I know you will love it.

Kade Clark is shocked when his babysitter purposes to him. (He is a single father. His sister-in-law babysits his son Landon. His ex-wife had run off with another man and took everything she could but gave him the boy.) That was the start of a bad day for Kade. He has three near-death experiences all in one day. What would happen to Landon if something happened to him. His ex-wife would come in and take everything he had built up or his birth father would come in and take everything. Kade finally agrees to the marriage. The boy loves his aunt. He could do this but he soon finds that there is more to Heather than he ever dreamed.

Heather Johnson has taken care of Landon most of the boy's life. Her father made her promise to ask Kade to marry her but how would it work. Kade is a player but Heather is plain, forty years old, heavy and tries to hide it with baggy clothes. She is nothing like her beautiful sister that broke Kade's heart. She doesn't want Kade to leave and take his son with him. She loves that boy never mind the crush she has on his father. She's shocked when he agrees.

Fatal Ranch Reunion by Jaycee Bullard

 My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Fatal Ranch Reunion. Jaycee is a fairly new author for LIS but she 's really amazing. I know you are going to welcome her and her  work. This story is well written, action packed, and full of faith.

Tacy Tolbert comes to the ranch to see her grandfather. He father had died and ask her to take a letter to his father and read it to him. She wasn't sure what was in the letter. Hopefully it didn't contain all her secrets. She is out in the field on a ATV when she becomes very tired and decides to get off the vehicle and rest but she then hears a gun shot followed by the thunder of hooves, buffaloes. She had to get away but her body isn't responding. She crawls toward the trees calling for help. Suddenly she is rescued by a man on a motorcycle, her ex-husband. The only man she has ever loved but he left her.

Seb Hunt couldn't believe his ex-wife is out in the field. She's injured and he insists on taking her to the doctor. He couldn't figure out why the buffaloes were out of the fence and who would have shot a gun. Another attempt on her life makes it clear to him someone is trying to kill Tacy. He is shocked to learn her father is dead and that he has a son that he was never told about. Her father had contrived to keep them apart. Now her life and his son's is on the line, he must protect them. Can he win his family back?

A journey to save his family in the midst of a feud between the two families. They have to find who is trying to kill to Tacy and gain control of the ranch.  My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Follow the Evidence. This is Lynn's first book for LIS but it's a great read. This story is well written, action packed and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.

Widow Emma Pierce has inherited her uncle's home. She sharing the home with her sister-in-law, her baby, and Sadie, her search and rescue dog. Her uncle left the property to her and not his son; his son was furious. She begins to receive threatening notes and calls. Now someone broke into her home in the middle of a storm and attacked her.

Sheriff Reed Atkinson is sitting watching the storm when he gets a call that there is an intruder at Emma's house. She's a woman he once dated and cared deeply for. Since his sister disappearance a year ago he can't let anything happen to Emma or her family.

Light in the Mountain Sky by Mistie M. Beller

 My review today is on the Christian Western Romance, Light in the Mountain Sky. This is the third book in the series, Call of the Rockies. I really enjoy Misty's books and i'm thrilled when I get one. They are so real I always need a warm blanket and something warm to drink when I read them. All the snow storms and mountains leave me cold. This book is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love this one.

Meksem is an Indian warrior. She spent her youth with the boys of her tribe. She is as capable as any warrior in her tribe. The Black Foot war party raided a village and captured Meksem's half-sister, several women, and a child. Her sister is with child and Meksem is going to rescue her. Meksem and her friends follow their trail. 

Adam had come to the mountains to find the spotted horses he had heard about. He had taken ill and was rescued by his brother and his friends.(book two) Meksem was one of them. He has developed feelings for the woman and will follow her anywhere she needs to go.

A terrifying journey through dangerous mountains, avalanches, and bitter blizzards. God has a plan for these two; a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too; a good plan and not for evil. We live in a trying time.I never thought I'd see what is happening today but God keeps me safe and I have no FEAR! God is a good God and He loves us dearly.

 My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, Minutes to Die. This is the second book in the Homeland Heroes Series. I'm always thrilled to receive one of Susan's books in the mail. This book is no exception in fact it's the best one yet I think. It's well written, action packed, full of intrigue. I know you are going to love it. 

FBI Agent Kiley Dawson receives word from her informant that something big is about to take place; before she can explained she is gunned down. Kiley, a member of an elite task force is the lead on taking this terrorist threat down. She is forced to work with a man she blames her partner's death on. She once loved him can she work with him?

Ice Agent Evan Bowers finds a storage unit that was brought over from the Middle East. Two terrorist had lived in it and were smuggled into our nation. Evan is put in the elite task force and is now working under the only woman he ever loved. He holds his breath because he's afraid Kiley might throw him off the team. He must walk a fine line, keep her safe, and find the terrorists.

I know we are living in trying times and people don't understand why God doesn't do something but we have tied His hands. We have thrown Him out of everything. When you ask Him into your heart you give Him the right to work in your life and God can turn things around for you. He is a good God make Him the Lord of your life and see what His plan for you is.
