My Hospital Adventure by Glenda Parker

So I want to thank everyone for the prayers and well wishes. I haven't felt well since Christmas but couldn't really tell you what was wrong. I started having problems with being light headed and dizzy. My daughter, a nurse, advised me to try Electrolytes and that did help. I was exhausted all the time. On Thursday my neck and back started aching.  I hurt enough that I didn't go to my great grand daughter's program and our church fellowship. I wasn't able to sleep well but went to prayer on Friday morning and breakfast but didn't stay long as the pain came back. I spent that day in my recliner with a heat pad.

Saturday was worse. I started having muscle spasms on the left side of my back. That night I wasn't able to sleep at all. It hurt to sit and it hurt to lie down. The only relief I found was taking a pulsing shower. That would las for about an hour. I was taken Tylenol and Ibuprofen every three hours. Finally Sunday I got dressed and went to the hospital. All i wanted was something for pain.

Because of where the pain was the doctor ordered an EKG. All my vitals were fine. She ordered a blood test. She told me I would have to call someone to take me home. Not a problem and I texted my daughter. I explained where I was and someone needed to come get my car. I needed someone to take over the coffee bar and greet as I wouldn't be able to be there that morning. They needed to pray for me. The doctor soon came back and told me I wasn't going anywhere. My hemoglobin was only at a four when it should be an eleven. After a Ct scan they were finally gave me morphine as that would help oxygenate my blood.

It was St. Patrick's Day so I had corned beef and cabbage. I received two pints of blood and did feel better. I had dry heaves after lunch so no more Morphine. I was finally able to sleep. Monday my regular doctor came and told me they found a slow leak in my small intestines. I would see a surgeon the next day. My family came to seen me. It was a long day and still painful.. What they gave for pain made me ill so I went on just Tylenol. Tuesday morning my doctor came and told me the surgeon wouldn't be in because it bleed was in a place where he couldn't reach. She was going to send me home. I needed another unit of blood but I could leave after that. I would have to make an appointment in Omaha at the Medical Center.

An hour later the surgeon came. I really liked him. He was really concerned and told me he would be making arrangements for my procedure. He told me to stay in the hospital and take it easy. I still only had a third of the blood I should have. Then my doctor sent me home. My children were very upset since they had talked to the surgeon.

I will now go to Omaha on April 8th. They will use the capsule with the camera to find the leaks and take care of it. I'm trying to take it easy and I'm doing much better. I look forward to having all this over. Thank you again.

Undercover Colorado Conspiracy by Jodie Bailey

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Undercover Colorado Conspiracy. I'm a big fan of Jodie's work so I was thrilled to get this one in the mail. It's well-written, action-packed, and full of intrigue. I know you are going to love it.

Army Special Agent Thalia Renner is undercover with her partner. They are investigating an adoption agency that seems to be targeting military couples. She and Phillip are posing as a married couple hoping to adopt. Two military couples have been selected for the mountain resort adoption seminar and are there free of charge. She is out for a predawn run when she is attacked. Is her cover blown already?

Army Special Agent Phillip Campbell is posing with his partner as a married couple. The first morning his partner is attacked. The resort sees his wife's bruises and assumes he is an abuser. This won't help them with getting higher up on the adoption list. The attacks keep coming! What are these people hiding? Who is the boss? Can he keep her safe?

A terrifying journey to find the evidence they need to stop this adoption ring. God has a plan for these two, a plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A good plan for peace and not for harm even in this time of political unrest. Trust Him with all your heart and watch Him work in your life.

Kidnapping Cold Case by Laura Scott

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Kidnapping Cold Case. I'm a big fan of Laura's work. I'm always excited to get a chance to read one of her new books. This story is well-written, action-packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.

Forensic Artist Jacy Urban had been called into the police station to help on a case. She was on her way home. It wasn't too late so she shouldn't be nervous. She wasn't a teenager like the missing girls plus it had been ten years since she had been kidnapped, So why was she so worried. As she reached her apartment she is attacked and the man sprays her with pepper spay, fighting back she screams. A man comes to her rescue, the same one who rescued her ten years ago.

Detective Cash Rawson worked for the police force in Madison. When he heard of the missing girls he was struck with how similar they were to Jacy's attack a decade ago. He came to Appleton to talk with Jacy, she was the reason he became a cop, but missed her at the police station. He followed her home and arrived as she was attacked. He was thankful he had been there to save her. She obviously is a target again.

An exciting journey to find the hidden secrets of Jacy's mind and stay out of the killer's sight. God has a plan for these two. A plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A good plan for peace and not for harm. Trust Him and make Him Lord.

Lethal Mountain Pursuit by Christy Barritt

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Lethal Mountain Pursuit. This is a K-9 Search & Rescue Novel. I always enjoy Christy's books and movies so I was glad to get this one in the mail. It's well-written, action-packed, and full of intrigue. I know you are going to love it.

Natalie Pearson had come to her sister's little cabin in the Smokey Mountains to hide from a killer. She had witnessed the killing, been attacked by the killer's dog, and left for dead.. She woke up to the sound of someone trying to break in to the cabin. She crept in to warn her sister but she wasn't there. She snuck out of the cabin and ran. The killer had found her.

Former detective Andrew Moore and his K-9 were out taking a nighttime walk. It was the middle of the night, his dog had been barking so he had given up on trying to sleep. He heard a man yelling. It certainly one of the women from the other cabin in these woods.. He went to investigate. The woman was in trouble.

An intense journey to keep Natalie safe and find her sister while staying ahead of a cold blooded killer. God has a plan for these two, a plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you, a good plan for peace and not for destruction. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life, even in this time of political turmoil.
