Lone Witness by Shirlee McCoy

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Lone Witness. This is the fourth book in the series, FBI: Special Crimes Unit. I always enjoy Shirlee's books. She just has a way with suspense and intrigues that is really special. This story is no exception; it is well written action packed, and full of intrigue with just enough faith to touch your heart. I know you are going to love it.
Tessa Carlson is in hiding; three years, four months, and twelve hours now. She had been eight years in an abusive relationship and had finally been able to disappear. He had moved on or so she thought. She knew if he ever found her he would destroy her out of spite. She had taken money and antique jewelry from his safe; he wouldn't forgive that. She lived in fear each day. This morning she needed to open the diner. It was cold, dark, and early she didn't expect to see anyone. A man came into view carrying a small girl. She called to the man, fought with him, and then was taken unconscious into the man's jeep.
FBI Special Agent Harry Miller found his daughter's empty bed when he heard a woman scream. He saw a jeep pulling out with a woman and his daughter in it. A widower he couldn't bear to lose one of his daughters too. He grabbed his car and chases after them. The woman carrying his daughter slides out of the car as the car stops at a traffic light. Harry has a hard time convincing the woman he is the girl's father. The police arrived and the woman disappears. He needs to protect her. The man will come after her, she is the only one who has seen his face.
A journey of terror as the case goes national and opens up a way for her abusive ex to find her. Can Harry keep her and his girls safe? What is she hiding? God has a plan for this family; a plan for true love and a second chance. God has a plan for you too. A good plan and not for evil, give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.

Hidden Twin by Jodie Bailey

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Hidden Twin. I really like Jodie's work. She does a great job on suspense and intrigues. I'm thrilled to get her books in the mail. This book is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.
Amy Brady was put into Witness protection years ago. She ran once to help a friend but had been returned by one of the marshals. When she left the college she noticed seventeen missed calls on her phone from an unknown number. Either something is really right and she is free or something is really wrong and they have found her. She calls her emergency number only to get the other marshal not her handler. He tells her to go to her office and lock the door. He is on his way to get her, something is really wrong. Against his orders she walks to her car only to see her handler's car but he doesn't get out to meet her. A red tint cover the glass of the windshield. A man walks up to her with a gun pointing at her heart. He tells her to come with him or he will start shooting the students in the next row of cars.
Deputy US Marshal Samuel Maldonado is a retrieval specialist. He was sent to find Amy and bring her back several months ago. He has stayed close to Amy and her handler ever since. He arrives at the parking lot only to see her being taken to a car in the parking lot. He rescues her and they must break a few rules and go off the grid to keep her safe.
A journey of overcoming their fear issues and trusting God and each other to find the way out of the terror. God has a plan for these two a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. No matter how bad things are, God can turn it all around if you give Him your heart. He is a good God!

Slanted by H.L. Wegley

My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, Slanted. This book is a little on the scary side. Although it's fiction I can see where it's really happening in our world, maybe not to the extent of the book. It's happening especially in the media. This story is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I really appreciate Harry's writing; although he writes thrillers and suspense he always keeps them clean and in good taste. That's hard to find these days. I know you are going to love this book.

He ends up in a park being chased by to armed goons. He hides Sam and then tries to lead the men off. When he returns he find Sam gone.
College student Alicia Josephine Scott, AJ is having a bad day. She went to pay her rent yesterday only to be told the man wouldn't renew her lease. She had to be out the next day. She puts everything she owns in her Jeep to head to work only to find our the government has closed down her job. She is officially homeless. She goes to a park and is sitting in her Jeep as two runners run by. A man and a young girl are fleeing like they are being chased. She watches as the man goes up to a bush and then he runs off alone. Soon two men run after him. AJ goes to find out what happened to the girl. She finds the girl in tears and takes her to help her. One of the men had returns, AJ hits the man with a pipe and then flees. She later calls Hunter and they play phone tag. Is it possible to fall in love over a phone to someone you never saw?
A terrifying journey to get away from men hired to kidnap the girl or kill them both. Can these three find a way out of this mess they are in? Winter's Redemption by Mary Stone

My review today is on the Thriller, Winter's Redemption. This is the third book in the Winter Black Series. I want to warn my faithful followers that this book is not a Christian book. It is a book about getting in the mind of a serial killer. There is foul language, sexual innuendos, and dark violence. This book has a great story line. She has been consistent in her characters and I know you will really like them. I can't wait to get the next book.
Winter is not only trying to find the serial killer that killed her family but "The Preacher" is hunting her. He had retired but now seems to be killing Winter with each new kill. Winter is taken off the case. She goes off on her own to hut him down. It takes a while for the team to realize that this madman is after Winter. They must use their skills together if they are going to find this monster. This is quite a journey that threatens Winter's life and her mind. An awesome read!
