Riven by H.L. Wegley

My review today is on the Christian Romantic Suspense, Riven. This is the first book in the Riven Republic Series. This is an awesome book and could very well take place in our nation, especially if the Christians stay home in our next election. Bernie or Bidnen taking over the Presidency could very well do exactly like the story foretells. The story is well written, action packed, and really scary. I know you will be sitting on the edge of your seat.
Zach Tanner is a radio host. He has been talking about the terrible situation going on in the nation. The Governor of Oregon tells his boss to take him off the air. He tells his audience he is leaving to the East side of Oregon that is a red state. He goes to join a group heroes who are trying to change the nation. (We visit some characters from former books. I like that.) He plans to set up a new radio station large enough to broadcast across the nation. He meets a beautiful woman there and falls hard. He has been betrayed by a girl and doesn't know if he can trust her or not.
Kate Alexander is the niece of the Governor. She has recently accepted Jesus as her Lord and must flee  the city when her aunt declares martial law. Her aunt sends men to bring her home with the family. She has quite a struggle to get out of Salem. When she arrives at the small town Terrebonne she buys a coffee shop and sets out to be one of the revolutionists. When she meets Zach that first day she is smitten. She offers her help to all the super heroes that live there.
A journey to find hope for a nation that is under attack. Her aunt and even the President is out to stop them. God has a plan for these super heroes especially these two; a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.

Killer Harvest by Tanya Stowe

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Killer Harvest. Tanya is a fairly new author for LIS but she is becoming one of my favorites. This story is well written, action packed and full of adventure. She has also interwoven faith throughout the book as in a fine tapestry. I know you are going to love it.
Biologist Sassa Nilsson went to an international conference with her mentor and boss. They are at the airport and ready to head for home. She is anxious to get home to her baby. The conference had ended up a nightmare and she just wanted to hold her baby girl. Sam stops and tells her he isn't going straight home but is meeting a border patrol agent. This doesn't make sense as he had been told his wife is ill. A man walks up and stabs him while Sassa is watching. Sam gives her his ID bracelet and then dies. She is taken by the FBI to be interrogated.
Border Patrol Agent Jared De Luca is frustrated; why didn't his supervisors listen more closely to the doctor, why did Jared have to take leave, and why was there a  struggle over jurisdiction before anyone took action. Sam had assured him that Sassa didn't know anything about the environmental terrorists, the Black Knights or the virus they wanted. He must find a way to protect her as these men think she has the virus that can kill the all the plant life in the valley. She and the baby are in incredible danger.
A journey of two broken souls trying to stay one step ahead of a mad man out to destroy the world. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him work in your life.

My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, Dead Center. This is the fifth book in the Truth Seekers Series. I was thrilled to receive this book. Every time I finish one of Susan's books I'm wanting the next one to come out. I don't know how she keeps coming up with new stories, new intrigues, and exceptional characters. I really appreciate that she visits the past characters so we can see what is going on it their lives after their story ends. This book is awesome.
Ainslie Duncan is a Forensic Photographer for Veritas Center. She is home alone when men burst through her door. They were big, tall men with assault rifles all pointed at her. US Marshalls they claimed. They had a call saying an escaped criminal is at her home. The escaped criminal had been in the same cell as her brother so someone had called a crank call. One of her co-workers shows up to help her. Why does it have to be the man she is so attracted to? She can't think when he's around. She needs to stand on her own.
Grady Houston is the weapon's expert at Veritas Center. He hears a call that is happening at Ainslie's home. He rushes over to help her and protect her if necessary. It's what he does. He's a protector at heart and he cares about her. When he finds out that her brother is in jail for a crime he didn't commit he tells her the center will help her. Then takes her back to the center along with a marshal assigned to help protect her. Who could have made the call? Who is trying to kill her?
A journey that covers a vast area and many years in the past. Veritas pulls out all the stops the find who the killer is. God has a plan for these two; both carry a lot of baggage from their pasts. Can they get past their fear of relationships and find God's plan for them? A plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.
