Moving Target by Lynette Eason

My review today is on the thriller, Moving Target. This is the third book in the Elite Guardian Series. I really enjoy Lynette's work and this series is awesome. This book is well written, action packed, and has very interesting characters. It's hard to get in the mind of a serial killer but she does an excellent job with this book.
Maddie McKay is one of the guardians of the Elite Guardians Unit. She is overcoming and attack where her throat was slit (book one) and has been taking care of her friend Quinn who was badly injured and his legs smashed.(book two) They are now out to eat to celebrate his release from physical therapy.
Quinn has been a real bear during his recuperation but Maddy has stayed by his side because she loves him but when he throws a fit about the birthday party their friends are throwing him she has had enough. She tells him off and then leaves the restaurant and goes home. He doesn't even try to stop her.
Detective Quinn Holcome is shocked when Maddie stomps out. After all they had been through he thought she would be by his side forever. Sure he'd been a pain but he had been going through a lot. He guessed he'd have to find her and apologize. He couldn't imagine going on with out her. She refuses to answer the door. When he looks in he sees her on the floor. Then he is also taken
The Chosen One has waited six years for God to take vengeance on the death of his loved one. Now he sees God has chosen him to do the vengeance for Him. Nine months and eight bodies after his revelation he enters Maddie McKay's home to abduct her. He drugs her and then waits for Quinn to show up. They then disappear and end up on an island in the middle of no where. It was where the Chosen One had set up an elaborate hunting game.
This is a cunning journey to survive the plannings of a mad man. God has a plan for these two; a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. Most of us will never encounter a serial killer but we do have an enemy that is out to steal, kill and destroy. He is really good at it and most people don't even believe he exists. We have a tendency to blame God for all the terrible things that happen and we just accept it as God's will but God is good and His plan is for good and not for evil. Give your heart to Jesus, trust God to move in your life, and watch Him work in your life.

They take them to the cave and Noxul see the moon mark on Cali-Cle hip, she is one of the prophesy. The four split up and John takes her home to marry.
The third part is about a badly abused woman, Annie Langley trying to escape her deceased husband's brother. She is heavy with child and has no choice but to answer a mail order bride ad. The groom gambles the contract away and Noxul wins her. He seeks the woman to help her. When Cali-Cle tells of Annie's capture he is determined to save her. He asks John to help him. They rescue both the women and takes them to the sacred cave but Annie but she goes into labor before Nozul can help her escape the cave. Lady Ever After by Tamara Leigh

My review today is on the Medieval  Romance, Lady Ever After. This is the second book in the Beyond Time, A Medieval Time Travel Series. This book is awesome! I really liked the first book in this series and wanted to see how she handled this one. This book takes place now and in the Fifteenth Century. You are going to love this story; it is well written, full of adventure, and very intriguing. I really enjoyed every minute of it but I really liked the end.

Collier Gilchrist Morrow is a successful business man in England. He was badly hurt in an accident while mountain climbing. He has become addicted to pain killers when his girl friend finds out she leaves him and goes back to the US. He goes to a rehab center to get clean, buys a ring, and is determined to make Aryn his wife. When he returns home he finds Aryn has died. He is beside himself; he has lost everything dear to him. He stares at the only thing left to him that means anything. It is a painting of a woman who was killed in the attack on Stivling Castle in the Fifteenth Century. As he lays on his couch the paint covering her face falls off and he looks at his beloved, Aryn. He prays for another chance he is struck down by the portrait and lands in the fifteenth century. Could he save Catherine Algernon from certain death and help the man that would become his forefather. Could he see Catherine as herself and not his Aryn? Is it too soon to love again?

Catherine Algernon is living in Stivling Castle; they are under siege and she is at the end of the road. She has seen the picture of her death in her dreams and knows it will be soon. As she sleeps a man is found in her room calling her Aryn. She screams and men come running to throw her in the dungeon but now her dream has changed. She is saved from death but is told she must marry this man who saved her life, Collier Gilchrist, a commoner. Catherine is a Lancastrian and the man she is to marry is a Yorkist, a hated enemy. Not only was her hatred livid he kept calling her another woman's name. How could they live this way?

A great journey of two times intertwining. It reminds me kind of Brigadoon. God has a plan for these souls from two very different worlds. A plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. Your story might not be from two different times but usually you come from two different worlds. Opposites work well together and balance each other out. God is so good; so give him your heart and watch him turn your life around.

Deadly Memories by Mary Alford

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Deadly Memories. This is only the third book Mary has written for LIS and I'm thrilled with her work. I hope to read a lot more of her books. This story is well written, fast paced, and action packed. The story is also full of faith and I like that. I know you will love this book.

CIA Agent Kyle Jennings is in the desert on an assignment when he finds a woman out in the middle of nowhere. Is she a victim of is she working with the gunrunner he is searching for? She appears to have no memory of who she is or where she even came from. He soon finds out she is a missionary that had been abducted and held for years. It was uncanny how much she looked like his wife who died seven years ago, but he had buried her and she was gone.

Missionary Ella Weiss had been held captive for seven years. She had returned to consciousness many years ago after a severe head trauma. The only thing she knew was shat she had been told. Her family had been killed in the same attack she had been injured in. She manages to escape her cell and goes in search for the child Joseph that had been her fellow prisoner. She finds herself out side and in the middle of nowhere. She had been tortured, starved and experimented on while being held but the only thing important was this child. She had to find him. When Kyle comes to her rescue she realizes he is the man they have trained her to kill. She's a missionary can she kill someone even if it is to save the child?

A great journey of trying to find answers to the past while running from the men who are out to destroy them and his team. God has a plan for these two a plan for a hope and a future. A future they never thought possible. God has a plan for you too. Trust Him, give Him your heart and watch Him turn your life upside down. God is so good.

The Vexing by Tamara Leigh

My review today is on The Vexing. This is the sixth book of the Age of Faith: A Medieval Romance Series. I have waited for this story and I am thrilled with the book. Tamara, I must say you did Sir Durand justice. I loved the book and really look forward to The Awakening. This book takes place in the twelfth century, a time I love to read about it but would not like to live there.

Sir Durand Marshal is in the Queen's Personal Guard. He is known by her as her Gallant Monk although it is not a good title for the handsome knight. He has a dishonorable past concerning women and the queen is aware of it. He is trying to make it up to those whom he has dishonored. He doesn't understand that he has already been forgiven by the ones he had harmed. He is on his way to meet the king and queen when he runs into a group Count Verielle's men pursuing a young woman and her three knights on the King's land. He tries to rescue the woman only to be attacked by her. He must throw her to the ground or lose his seat and both be trampled by his warhorse. They take the woman and her men to the Queen but they refuses to tell him her name or her business in crossing the king's land. The woman is vexing and he wants no part of her. When he hears that her name is Beatrix the same as his beloved he almost becomes sick. Only to be told that he must escort the woman to her father.

Lady Beatrix, known as the Vestral Wife and now the Vestral Widow as she was married to a man old enough to be her grandfather and the man had never consummated the marriage, was on her way to meet with her father at his command. Her father had no heir since his wife of sixteen had given him two still born sons and one that was surely going to die. He would marry his daughter off to a man who needed money that he would become the baron in his place. Lady Beata, (What she wanted everyone to call her) must tell no one about being the heiress for then the queen would marry her off to the man of her choice. She is determined to escape Sir Durand's escort.

A journey of attacks, shipwrecks, and mysteries. Durand and Beata struggle to get to her father. As they arrive the child has already died and her father had set up a marriage. It is Sir Durand job to stop the marriage until the queen decides who she shall marry. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future, of good and not for evil. God has a plan for you too. Give Him your heart and watch Him work

I love K-9 stories and you are going to love Robo in this one. This story is well written, full of intrigue, and mystery. Missing children has got to be the worst horror a parent or cop can deal with. This story deals with this subject in a great way.

Now she is faced with finding another child; a child that is very close to her. She has been having problems of her own with past issues. This story is well written and heartwarming. The book has now been released and you really need to get your copy.

It doesn't help the awkward situation when Catherine returns and drops a new born baby at Madeline's door step and then leaves again. Madeline tells Joshua she must raise this child and cannot go against his parents wishes.

A Practical Partnership by Lily George

My review today is on the Love Inspired Historical, A Practical Partnership. I enjoyed this book very much. This story is well written and will touch your heart. I'm sure you are going to love it. I have to admit I didn't really care for John at the first but he did grow on me.

Hannah Siddons, Nan to her friends and family, runs a millinery shop. Nan and her two elder sisters opened the shop years ago to keep from starving. Both of her sisters have married and left the running of the shop to Nan. Nan is a practical, independent woman and she has managed the shop as best she could but a French milliner has come to town and stole her business. A couple is visiting her brother-in-law and he asks her to sew a new wardrobe for his young sister's debut. Fearing for her business she agrees.

John Reed has inherited his father's estate and must give up his carefree life. He also must make sure his young sister has her debut in London even if she doesn't want any part of it. His sister is taken with the local seamstress so he asks her to sew up the wardrobe she would need for her season. He brings the Nan to his estate not realizing she will steal his heart.

A journey of two souls each in a place they don't want to be but soon find this place is good as long as they are together. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. God is so good, He has a plan for you too. Surrender your will to Him and watch Him work in your mess.
