Mission Undercover by Virginia Vaughan

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Mission Undercover. This is the fifth book in the Rangers Under Fire Series. I always enjoy Virginia's work and I know you do too. This book is well written, action packed, and full of drama. She has also woven her faith throughout the story. I always love that.
Undercover Ex-Ranger Blake Michaels is investigating corruption in the North Shore Police Department when he is called by one of the officers to meet him at the hospital. He is held at gun point while Mason explains how Blake had betrayed him and his men and he was going to kill him. He was going to kill his deceased partners wife and then kill Blake making it look like a murder/suicide. Blake escapes, but is wounded. He takes Holly with him and they go on the run. Blake had been badly betrayed by a woman and how can he learn to trust this woman?
Holly Mathis is leaving the hospital after a hard day at the hospital. She is exhausted and thinking about the journal she had recently found in a hidden compartment in a closet. Her husband had been investigating fellow officers. She had believed her husband was killed in the line of duty and now she knows that was a lie. She had shown the chief a photo copy of a few pages claiming Mason as a dirty cop but he didn't seem responsive and just told her to bring it to him. After her home had been trashed she knew she couldn't trust the chief. As she gets to her car Mason comes up to her with a gun, he has the copies of the pages, and tells her he is going to kill her. He wants the journal. She is rescued by a handsome man she had never seen before but he is wounded. Can she trust him and how can they get away from this mad man?
A struggle of these two trying to get out of a city that is bound by water on all sides but one and that side has roadblocks from the police. Can these two learn to trust each other and trust God to get them out of this terrible situation. God has a plan for these two; a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. Give Him your heart and watch Him work out your problems.

Baron of Godsmere by Tamara Leigh

My review today is on the Medieval Romance Baron of Godsmere. This is the first book in the Feud Series. I really enjoy Tamara's books and I'm sure you do to. This story is kind of a take on the old story of the beauty and the beast. It's well written, full of action, and will touch your heart.

Years later, in 1333 the three barons are at war there is continual strife and mayhem between them. The king declares each of the three barons must marry in the family of the others. Baron Bayard Boursier is commanded to choose between Lady Elianor of Emberly; the widowed niece of Baron Magnus Verdun or the misbegotten daughter of Baron De Arell, Thomasin and marry within six weeks or forfeit his lands. Moving Target by Lynette Eason

My review today is on the thriller, Moving Target. This is the third book in the Elite Guardian Series. I really enjoy Lynette's work and this series is awesome. This book is well written, action packed, and has very interesting characters. It's hard to get in the mind of a serial killer but she does an excellent job with this book.
Maddie McKay is one of the guardians of the Elite Guardians Unit. She is overcoming and attack where her throat was slit (book one) and has been taking care of her friend Quinn who was badly injured and his legs smashed.(book two) They are now out to eat to celebrate his release from physical therapy.
Quinn has been a real bear during his recuperation but Maddy has stayed by his side because she loves him but when he throws a fit about the birthday party their friends are throwing him she has had enough. She tells him off and then leaves the restaurant and goes home. He doesn't even try to stop her.
Detective Quinn Holcome is shocked when Maddie stomps out. After all they had been through he thought she would be by his side forever. Sure he'd been a pain but he had been going through a lot. He guessed he'd have to find her and apologize. He couldn't imagine going on with out her. She refuses to answer the door. When he looks in he sees her on the floor. Then he is also taken
The Chosen One has waited six years for God to take vengeance on the death of his loved one. Now he sees God has chosen him to do the vengeance for Him. Nine months and eight bodies after his revelation he enters Maddie McKay's home to abduct her. He drugs her and then waits for Quinn to show up. They then disappear and end up on an island in the middle of no where. It was where the Chosen One had set up an elaborate hunting game.
This is a cunning journey to survive the plannings of a mad man. God has a plan for these two; a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. Most of us will never encounter a serial killer but we do have an enemy that is out to steal, kill and destroy. He is really good at it and most people don't even believe he exists. We have a tendency to blame God for all the terrible things that happen and we just accept it as God's will but God is good and His plan is for good and not for evil. Give your heart to Jesus, trust God to move in your life, and watch Him work in your life.
