Unfortunately the Best Man is the man who recently broke her heart. How is she to face him let alone dance with him in front of everyone of their friends? Her best friends assures her that she will meet mister right. She talks her into throwing coins into the Trevi Fountain. That night she has a dream of a tall handsome stranger he helps her and then tells her she has a week to fulfill her wish.
Kyle was sitting on the other side of the fountain when he saw two beautiful women on the other side. He has given up all hope of finding the right woman. But he is drawn to one of them when a man walks up and speaks to them and then hugs the woman he is drawn to. Oh well she obviously is taken but she then she turns and throws in a coin. I can't believe I'm going to have to wait a long time for the next one. I really enjoy the way Olivia writes her stories. I liked Darrin when he was but a thief in the forest. He was much like Robin Hood. Now to learn he was really a noble who had been betrayed by the woman he loved. This book is well written, full of action, and all kinds of twists. You are going to love it.
Sir Darrin de Longue was a noble who was accused of killing his father. What hurt the most was the woman he loved testified against him. He fled to England and lived in the forest. The king had promised to restore his home Chateau du Vent Doux. The king is injured and he calls for Darrin. He confesses that Faith de Saint-Marie is his legitimate daughter. The king then dies. Darrin goes home to take over his heart full of bitterness and anger. He throws out his uncle who he believes really killed his father. He marries the woman he has come to hate as much as he once loved. Now to seek vengeance over them all
Faith de Saint-Marie had been brought to the Chateau when she was but four. She never knew her parents but had been left at a convent. A nun had come with her to the Chateau and took care of her. She and Darrin had played as children and she has loved him since she was but a child. She was forced to testify against Darrin by his uncle who would kill the nun if she refused. Now the uncle is forced to leave and Faith is married to Darrin his first night at home. She refuses to sleep with him since he is an unbeliever. She finally makes a deal with him if he will go to the daily prayers for one month she will become his wife.
Something is going on in the Chateau. Sheep being stolen, animals being slaughtered, and Darrin stabbed in the back. Who was trying to destroy the Chateau or run Darrin off. This is a struggle of two heartbroken souls brought together by a king trying to make sure his child would have the chance he wanted for her. Bodies are popping up and his first love is somehow being dragged into the mess. Can he keep the woman he loves safe? Could his brother be involved?
A great journey to try to find the killer and stop him while both their lives are in danger. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. You might not have an armed killer chasing you but you do have any enemy. He came to steal, kill, and destroy but Jesus came that you might have life and have it more abundantly. He loves you. Give Him your heart and watch Him turn your life around.

Joshua's Prayer by Olivia Rae

My review today is on A Golden Ridge Story, Josua's Prayer. This book was sent to me. I was not required to write a review but you are going to love this story and I don't want you to miss it. I'm new as a fan of Olivia's work but I am a fan now and hope to read more of her stories. This book is well written, heart warming, and has a touch of intrigue. I know you are going to love it.
Sam Morgan is a dentist; working as a missionary in Guatemala. He has lost his faith in God;  he returns home to Golden Ridge after the death of his wife. His son is living in a group home for battered women and women who need a new start. Sam's wife had left him in the mission field and moved into Grace House Women's Center taking her son with her. She then filed for divorce. She had been an alcoholic and their son was a victim of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Sam attended the funeral. He had nothing but bad memories from this town. He planned to pack up the house and take his son and return to Guatemala immediately. That was until he came up against his son's pre-school teacher. She refused to let him take his son.
Nicole James grew up in a home where father refused to settle down. They had moved over and over until her mother took to a bottle when she became overwhelmed. Nicole and her mentor had opened the center to help women to start over and get out of bad situations. She was not about to allow Sam to take his special needs child and drag him all over the world; especially after all the horror stories Vicky Morgan had told her about her ex-husband. It soon becomes obvious to her that Vicky could have lied but can she give up a boy that has become the son she never had?. She finally convinces everyone to wait one month until the child could get use to his father again.
A journey of two broken souls struggling to care for their small young charge. Someone was trying to destroy the center. They must work together to try to save the place. God has a plan for this little family, a plan for good and not for evil. God has a plan for you too. Surrender your heart as Sam was finally able to do. Watch Him move in your life and turn your it all around.
