Hazardous Holiday by Liz Johnson

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Hazardous Holiday. This is the fifth book in the Men Of Valor Series. Don't you just love Liz's stories? I know I do. This story is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I love stories about special ops military programs as my son was in the Special Forces with the Air Force so they fascinate me. Navy Seals are special.

Kristi Tanner is a widow with a small son who has a bad heart. There was no way she could care for him and pay for a new heart. When her deceased husband's cousin proposes to her she has very little choice. To marry again seems like betrayal to her but her son's health must come first. So they move to San Diego and her husband was deployed for a year.

Navy Seal Zach McCloud has been in love with Kristi since they were children but she married his cousin. He knew they had been happy but when Aaron died he felt he needed to marry Kristi and care for her and her son. They were married, even though he knew they were never going to be more than married on paper. He moved them to his home and he left on deployment. When he returns he finds that his family is under attack. Someone is trying to kill his wife. A sniper misses his mark and causes Zach to wonder exactly who the killer is trying to kill. Can he keep them safe?

A journey of a little family trying to survive the chaos of heart transplants while facing a killer. God has a plan for this little family, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. Just give Him your heart and make Him your Lord and watch Him turn your life around.

Stalking Season by Sandra Robbins

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Stalking Season. This is the second book in the Smoky Mountain Secrets Series. (I could identify with this story as my ex-husband stalked me for several months. I know how Cheyenne felt.) Don't you just love Sandra's work, I know I do. This story is well written, full of action, and faith based. What's not to love?

Trick Rider Cheyenne Cassidy moved to the Smoky Mountains after her parents were killed by her stalker. Her stalker killed himself and then left a suicide note. Now before she is even settled in she finds someone is stalking her again. Could this possibly be the same man? Only the deputy sheriff will be able to save now.

Deputy Sheriff Luke Conrad is driving down the street when a beautiful woman runs out in front of him. He hits her, jumps out of his car and runs to help her. He finds out that Cheyenne is being stalked. He's convinced that Cheyenne's only hope is to stay and face her stalker before the madman can kill her. Can Luke keep her safe without losing his heart?

A journey of two broken individuals, convinced that they have no hope for a future. God has a plan for these two. A plan neither of them dreamed possible. God has a plan for you too. Just give him control and let Him have His way with you.

Two Thieves by Paul Joesph Luiso

My review today is on a book sent to me, Two Thieves. The review is my own thoughts and feeling. This book is well written and well researched. It's not a book that I can say I loved becaues it a dramatic subject. I would liken it to Ben Hur. There is much violence in this book but that was what life was like in Jesus time. I'm sure the book will inspire you.

The book starts in Jerusalem in 2 AD. Emoonah and her son watched as her husband was beaten to death because he didn't pay the temple tax. They had a really bad year and had no money to eat let alone pay taxes. Caiaphas, a priest, ordered the widow and her son to be sold to pay his debt. The widow and her son manage to escape by the help of Nicodemus, a priest. He leads her out of a secret tunnel and tells her to find a caravan of Magi. She is abducted by slave traders and her son is sodomized. He blames her. The Magi had just returned from Bethlehem and when the slavers attack them they save Emoonah, her son and one of the others slave that had befriend her, Mara

The head Magi falls in with Emoonah. He tries to talk her into going with him to Persia. She found her family and her cousin is now dead but her husband and their child are a mess she is determined to help them. Jamal, the Magi, built her a business. Then after many months he leaves her.

The cousin is a mess; a liar, a thief, and a maker of strong drink. He turns her son into a thief, a murder, and a maker of strong drink. They live in Nazareth and watch Y'shua grow to be a man. They are finally are force to leave.

The story goes clear through to the crucifixion. A dramatic story but well worth reading.
check out the book. You will love the end.

She puts her things in her car and then turns back to face him but before she could tell him what she thought about his showing up her car blows up. Now someone had kidnapped her son. Could she trust this man who had deserted her?

Ex-Ranger Garrett Lewis had experienced a terrible ambush while in the Rangers. Most of his men had died inncluding his best friend leaving a family of young children. Cowboy Creek Christmas by Cheryl St. John & Sherri Shackelford

My review today is on the Love Inspired Historical, Cowboy Creek Christmas. This is a novella and a wonderful read. I so enjoy these two authors. These stories are well written and heart warming, just what you need on a cold day with a cup of hot cocoa. I know you will enjoy these stories.

Mistletoe Reunion by Cheryl St. John
Marlys Boyd has spent her whole life pursuing medicine, not just any kind of medicine but holistic or natural medicine. Now that she is a doctor she must find a place where people will accept her so she moves to Cowboy Creek, Kansas. Upon arrival she finds her ex-fiancee is the newspaper owner. Suddenly she begins to question her decisions to cut him out of her life.
Sam Mason is still attracted to Marlys but with a young son he doesn't want to have his heart broke one more time. He feels he must help the town accept her though and he must protect her from their fear.

Mistletoe Bride by Sherri Shackelford
When a very pregnant, very ill woman arrives in Cowboy Creek the midwife asks Colton Werner to help her as the woman was only speaking German and she couldn't understand her. No one expects her or the baby to live through the night.
Beatrix Hass tells him she is a mail-order bride but the man she was to marry had recently died. To reassure her he marries the woman to give the child a name and the woman hope.
Colton is horrified to have to actually help deliver the baby but something happens in his heart as he hold this small life that is not breathing. He goes out to clean up the little body but the washing brought the baby back.

These two stories are great and show God always has a plan. None of the couples had any hope for their future but God brought them together and gave them a hope and a future. God has a plan for you two. Give Him your heart and lay down your control and watch Him work out your problems. God is so good.
