My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Battle Tested. This is the seventh book in the continuity series, Military K-9 Unit. I have really enjoyed this series and I'm sure you have too. Laura is a favorite of mine and this book is an excellent example of her work. It's well written action packed, and full of faith. You are going to love it.
First Lieutenant Vanessa Gomez works in the intesive care unit. She is concerned when she has two fatal drug overdoses in one week. The drug is one that is used for PTSD but the men who died weren't suffering from PTSD. Is someone selling their drugs? She is concerned because her younger brother is suffering from that disorder and she doesn't want to see him harmed. She is going down a darkened hallway when she is attacked. Someone tries to kill her, is it the Red Rose Killer? The light come on and the attacker flees. A man and his therapy dog come rushing down the hall to help her.
Captain Isaac Goddard is a former pilot. He is suffering from PTSD and is trying to get his best friend's K-9, Beacon after the death of his friend. It hasn't been and easy task. The dog is suppose to arrive soon. After his appointment he comes upon the attack. Isaac walks Vanessa home. They find a litter of motherless pups. They take the puppies to Vanessa's and her brother Aiden fosters them. Isaac tries to help the younger man deal with his systems. Something is going on though. Isaac and his dog must protect Vanessa and her brother.
A journey of the struggles with PSTD and with killers out to destroy them. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. Give him your heart and watch Him turn your life around.
