My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Lone Star Christmas Rescue. This is the second book in the Lone Star Justice Series. I always enjoy Margret's books and this is another great example of her work. This story is well written, action packed, and full of suspense. She has woven her faith throughout the book as in a tapestry. You're going to love it.
Texas Ranger Drake Jackson is out hiking on the edge of a cliff. He is thinking about the human smuggling ring that his task force is investigating when he hears a baby crying. He repels down the cliff and finds the baby with an unconscious woman. There is no ID on the woman or the baby only a wound at the back of her head. Drake rigs a baby carrier out of his backpack and carries them out of the park. Who is she and what happened to her? A couple takes them to the park ranger but is then found murdered. Kay and the baby are in danger.
"Kay" regains consciousness but doesn't remember anything that had transpired only that she was in danger. She had a dream of running with a baby in her arms. She has a locket in her possession with the letter K on it; so that is what they called her. She does remember the baby's name. A strange man comes into her room and scares her. She takes the baby and runs. This man is a threat. How can she protect the baby when she doesn't even know her name?
A journey of these three souls struggling against the evils of this world. God has a plan for these three; a plan for good and not for evil. God has a plan for you too. A plan for a hope and a future. Trust Him, give Him your heart, and watch Him move in your life.
