I am really behind on my reviews. I have a stack of books finished, so I've decided to do some extra reviews so I can catch up. My review today is on the Western Romance, A Match Of Sorts. I really enjoyed this book and I know you will too. The story is well written, heart warming, and full of drama.
Pastor Caleb Brennan is in trouble. His wife died a few years ago and now his father-in-law is on his way to take his granddaughters home with him. Caleb had sent for a mail-order bride but she found a man that's a better fit (Caleb is crippled from an injury)on the train coming to meet him. Now he is right back to square one. One night he hears a dog barking out in the snow, he finds a small mound covered with snow. He carries the kid to his couch and begins to undress him. He soon finds out this is not a boy but a young woman.
Grace Blackwell is a bounty hunter. She comes from a family of all men after they were all killed in the war she doesn't have the skills to make a living so she turns to hunting men and pretending to be a man. One of the men she was chasing turns on her and leaves her for dead. She wakes up in the home of a minister. How did she get into a mess like this? Caleb asks her to pretend to be his future wife.
A great journey of a struggle to survive and a chance for a new beginning. God has a plan for this family, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, Just turn your heart over to God and watch Him give you a new beginning.
