My review today is on a historical romance, Mail Order Bride: An Outlaw's Wife. This is the second book in the Mail Order Montana Series. I enjoyed this story although it had a little more sexual content than I am comfortable with. (just a warning to my followers) There was no graphic sex scenes but sex was the main thought and discussion through the last half of the book. Other than that, (I know a lot of people like that in there books) the book is well written, humorous, and full of adventure.
Carrie Ackerman is angry at her sister for going in her place to be a mail order bride. (see book one) She accepts another man's ad and goes to Montana to meet with him. Her stagecoach is robbed and Carrie runs for her life. She soon becomes lost in the forest but is rescued by one of the outlaws. He rescues her many times as he helps her to go to Helena to stay with her sister. They also encounter an indian woman abducted by his fellow outlaws and they rescue her.
Fred Connor lost his job and was unable to find work. His mother is ill and with the mounting medical bills he becomes a rustler. Now after a bunch of problems (see book one) he has come to the end of his road and is robbing stagecoaches with a group of wild cowboys he can't stand. He orders a mail order bride so that he will have someone to care for his ailing mother. He is shocked to find out she is the woman they have just robbed. He is instantly attracted to her but she refuses to marry an outlaw.
A journey of two souls with a lot of past baggage, Can they learn to trust God and each other? God has a plan for these two, a good plan and not of evil. God has a plan for you too. Just give Him your heart, give Him control, and watch Him move in you life.
