Hidden Agenda by Christy Barritt

My book review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Hidden Agenda. I love Christy's work and this one is no exception. It is well written, action packed, and full of adventure. Although the characters are flawed and hurting individuals they love the Lord and trust Him through all of their adversities. That is what we must do too. God has a plan for each of us and when we trust Him, He will make a way for us each to fulfill our purpose.

Bailey Williams is a home health care nurse. She has just finished caring for a dear man who had heart problems. Now he has passed and she is straightening out his affairs since his son didn't bother to show up for the funeral. A severe storm hit the island of Smuggler's Cove, Bailey is frightened when the lights go out but when a man is standing there with a gun in her face fear becomes her constant companion. Now she finds out it's only Mr. Carter's son, but she is threatened by another man who is apparently hidden in the house.

CIA Agent Ed Carter just found out his father has died. He was deep under cover and was unable to get here sooner. He knows his father was murdered and he is determined to find the killer. He sees a young woman standing up on the widows walk like a ghost, could she be his father's killer? His key doesn't fit the door so when he breaks down the back door. The lights are out, due to the storm no doubt so he goes in search of the woman. He finds her hiding and pulls his gun on her.

These two take a journey to find answers to the death of Mr. Carter and the information he left. Both are keeping secrets, how can you trust one another when secrets are standing between you. It's a great adventure and I know you will love the story.
