2 John 1:8 "Look unto yourselves(take care) that you may not lose(throw away or destroy) all that we and you have labored for, but that you may {persevere until you} win and receive back a perfect reward{in full}." (taken from the Amplified version.
My Pastor has preached on this verse for three weeks and I have learned so much. First is Honor; run your race with honor, in Mark 6: 1-8 it tells the story of Jesus teaching in His home church. Many were offended, Jesus said; a prophet is not without honor. Honor is a heart attitude. *Many times the things we desire don't come in the package we expect. The same story in Luke 5:17 says the power of the Lord was present to heal them (all) Jesus marveled at their unbelief. John 13:20 says "He that receives the man I send he will receive me." * The way kids treat their parents is the way we treat our Heavenly Father. How we treat our boss, our coworkers, or our pastor is how we honor God. Matthew says "Honor the man of God and you get the man of God's reward. 1 Timothy 5:18 Honor is not worship. Honor is holding someone with respect.
TV cannot change the world but a local church can. Don't have your pastor for lunch after church but lift him up and honor him in front of your children, friends, and family.
Do you honor God? How about your Pastor, do you honor him? If you can't give honor to the man of God go to God in prayer, maybe it is time to find a church where you can honor the pastor. God bless you all, I hope this has touched you as much as it touched me.
Hi Glenda,

I am finally getting around better. for some reason my sixty-sic year old body doesn't seem to rebound like it once did. The corn and the potatoes are peeking through. The tomatoes are blooming. I am excited about it. You hear so much about hybrids and fertilizers it's good to know you can not worry about what you eat. A farm looks good but I don't think my body could handle it. Love you and God bless you.
