My book review today is on the Love Inspired Historical, The Gentleman's Bride Search by Deborah Hale. This book is the last book of the Glass Slipper Bride Series. I only read a couple of them but I have enjoyed them and I know you will too. Deborah took a horrible childhood that might have destroyed most girls and turned it around. These women became servants of the Most High God. I love that, aren't we all called to be just that, a servant of God.
Evangeline Fairfax had endured the horrors of a charity school for orphaned girls of the clergy. One of six girls that had bonded together to be their own family. The other girls had been governesses too but were now all happily married. Evangeline know that she wasn't called to marriage she was called to start a new school for these homeless girls where they could be loved and grow strong and healthy. But her boss refused to find a new governess for his children. Taking the matter into her own hands she has arranged a house party full of eligible young ladies. She instructs her employer to choose one of them because she was leaving.
Jasper Chase was a widower. He ran a business in Manchester and spent all of his spare time and money trying to improve the lives of his workers. He spent little time at their country home. He had argued with his wife and his governess about the time he spent away from his family. Now his governess is bound to leave him and is forcing him to choose a bride. He has no idea how to court a woman, he hadn't even courted his wife. He forced to seek counsel from Evangeline, after all she was the one who forced him into this situation. But as he tries to court these women he realizes the woman he wants is Evangeline.
This is a cute story. It will make you cry, it will make you laugh, and it will touch your heart. Run out and get a copy. You'll love it. God bless you all and have a great week.
