My review today is on the Historical Western Romance, Mail-order Misfire. This is book two in the series, Thanksgiving Books and Blessings Collection. I was really excited to get this book. I really enjoy how Davalynn writes westerns. This story is well written, humorous, and heartwarming. I know you are going to love it.
Preacher/sheriff Bern Stidham is a widower with a small daughter. His daughter decides he needs a wife and she needs a mother. She writes to her father's mentor asking him to send him a wife. She makes it look like Bern sent the letter. Bern is shocked when his mail-order bride writes to him to tell him when she will arrive.
Newly widow Etta Colier is about to lose her home and everything she owns. The banker's desire to have her scares her more than losing everything. His advances are becoming more bold. Her pastor suggests she takes the offer and leave town to marry his friend. She sends a telegraph telling him when she will arrive. They agree not to marry but that she would work for him as a housekeeper for a time.
A bumpy journey of second chances for two heartbroken souls. Can they learn to love again? God has a plan for this little family; a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil.
