My review today is on the Suspense, Gone. This is book one in the Gone Series. This book is well written, full of action, and horrifying because it is so possible. I know you will be intrigued.
Chester Woodran has lost his wife and daughter. His grasp on reality has left him. He finds a picture of a girl that looks just like his missing daughter. He contacts her on Facebook and pretends to be a fifteen year old boy. He tells her everything she could ever want to hear and learns all about her. After some time of stalking her; he asks her to meet him after his ball game to go out to a movie. Chester is waiting for her to take his daughters place.
Macy Mercer is living in a dysfunctional home. Her father has decided to be strict with her. He feels that is the best thing to do so he refuses to allow her to date until she's sixteen. Macy is unable to fit in; she just wants to be like the other fifteen year old girls. She sneaks out one night to meet Jared. She's so excited about her first date. After standing in the cold for a long time, it begins to get dark. Jared sends her a text saying the game is running late; his father will pick her up. One really bad decision and Macy is abducted by a mad man. He hits her in the head with a flashlight. She wakes up in the back of a truck under a topper. No way out. She is placed into a dungeon under the barn. She is starved, abused, and her family threatened unless she becomes Heather his missing daughter. She has no way out she begins to lose her identity.
A horrifying journey for a young girl. While her family struggles to find Macy. Her disappearance has brought them closer to each other. How will they ever find her?
