When The Heart Takes Over by Melynda Carlyle

My review today is on the Historical Western Romance, When The Heart Takes Over. This is an excellent story. It's well written and full of twists and turns. I know you are going to love it.
Widow Charlotte Martin takes the money her husband left and gives part to her mother and sisters and then goes to Montana. She becomes a cook and a maid at a boarding house. After being threatened by a man that wants to marry her she takes a job on a ranch to get away from him. She's not happy about the attraction she feels for her boss. He does seem like a good man but she promised herself never to depend on a man again.
Thomas Parchant and his mother move to Montana after the death of his father. His father had purchased a ranch and dreamed of raising horses; Thomas wanted to make that dream come true but it took time to talk his mother into moving. They stay several weeks at the boarding house where he becomes taken with the cook/maid. He offers her a job when a man threatens her. Can he and his hired hands keep her safe?
A great journey of fleeing a man that always get his own way no matter what and finding true love in the process. A great read!
