My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, Dead Heat. This is book four in the series, A Truth Seekers Novel. This book is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it. I'm always thrilled when I get one of Susan's books. They are all so different and yet we visit all the past characters from the last few books. I really like that.
FBI Agent Piper Nash is trying to stop a hacker, Jinks. She stole medical records and is blackmailing the people in them or selling the information on the dark web. As they are on a surveillance op, a meeting that seems to be going all wrong. Piper goes up to the man that is messing everything up and ends up kissing him to get him away from her target. Gunshots are fired. He tries to protect Piper. Piper handcuffed him to a bike rack and leaves him. When she goes to question him she finds he is the man she needs to help solve this case. Will he work with her after what she has done?
Veritas Computer Expert Nick Thorn has found the hacker that had stole medical records from the hospital that had hired him. Just as he is making contact and flirting with Jinks, a beautiful woman blows his meeting with her. He is furious when she leaves him cuffed to the bike rack but he can't forget that kiss. He is open to work the investigation with her and offers her full access to their lab for only one dollar.
A journey of two broken souls tossed together on an important investigation. They find they make a good team. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A plan for good and not for evil. You may not have killers after you or a hit on you from the dark web but God can straighten out your mess and give you the life you always dreamed of. Give Him your heart and watch Him work in your life.
