The Lawman Returns by Lynette Eason

My book review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, The Lawman Returns. This book is the first book in the Wrangler's Corner Series. I can't wait to get the next book, this one was awesome. I love the way Lynette writes; extra ordinary characters, fast paced action, and faith interwoven throughout the whole story. You just have to love her work.

Sabrina Mayfield had a tragic childhood, her mother was engaged to one of the men in the small town, left him at the alter, she returned with a baby in tow, and then took off again. Sabrina was laughed at and shunned by the whole town. Determined to earn the town's respect she becomes a social worker and helps children through their tragic lives. She lost one of her best friends. (the nephew of the man her mother destroyed) Stephen was a cop killed in the line of duty. Now she receives a call from Jordan a teen she is trying to help, he knows who killed Stephen. When answering the call she is shot at.

Detective Clay Starke (once dubbed a bad boy by the town) has returned home to work temporarily for the Sheriff, hoping to find Stephen's (his brother) killer. He is called out to back up the social worker but gets there just as someone starts taking shots at her. Clay makes it his job to keep Sabrina and Jordan's two young siblings safe and find Jordan and learn what he knows about who killed his brother. They go from one deadly situation to another.
