My book review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Covert Christmas. This book is the second book in the Echo Mountain Series. I don't know about you but I love Hope's writing and this one is excellent. Her faith is very evident in her books and I love that. This is a book about learning to trust even when you are broken. God is good and He always has a plan but He uses people to fulfill that plan or show us the way.
Breanna McBride is a search and rescue K-9 worker. On a training exercise she witnesses a man fall from a cliff and land on a ledge. She notifies her fellow worker and then sees two men with guns go after the man that fell. Breaking procedure she goes to his rescue putting her own life on the line.
Scott Becket is trying to escape capture from two men, when he falls several feet. He his rescued by a beautiful young woman but unfortunately all he can remember is his first name and that someone is after him. He becomes attached to Breanna even though he knows better than to trust anyone. Now her life is threatened.
Breanna is suffering from a controlling relationship that nearly destroyed her. She has a hard time trusting herself but is determined to help Scott find the answers he needs, even if she has to go against her family to do it. A great story you will want to get.
