Jehovah Rapha

Today I want to talk about another of God's names, Jehovah Rapha, the Lord is my Healer. Yesterday and today I have been struggling with a couple of health issues. So I am going to talk about how God is my Healer. My body is healed and made whole. It was healed two thousand years ago when Jesus took those stripes on His back for me. Every tiny drop of blood that flowed from His body was enough to heal me from the top of my head to the tips of my toes.

Did any of you watch 'The Passion' by Mel Gibson. It was on The Trinity Broadcasting Network several time last year and has been on a couple of times this year. Mel Gibson got in a lot of trouble for making the movie so graphic and parts of the movie was removed because it was so upsetting to the public but the movie did not begin to show what really happened that day. Isaiah says that even His own mother would be unable to recognize Him as human, He was so badly beaten. He was punched in the face repeatedly by the priests. His beard was plucked out, (ripped out, can you imagine) The violence knew no bonds. The crown of thorns was shoved down on His head, driven the long spikes into His skull. He was beaten with the cat of nine tails, thirty-nine times. What they don't say is the cat of nine tails was a multiple of long tails. On each of the tails was a piece of bone, glass, or metal hook that would tear out big chunks of His flesh. It wrapped around His whole body and tore off flesh from His chest, arms, neck, and legs.

When I watched the movie last year; I heard God telling me(not in a loud voice but a knowing in my heart) I did this for you. I went through all of that for you. Don't ask if it is God's will to heal. He wanted His people healed so badly that He took all that for me and for you. IT IS GOD'S WILL FOR ALL TO BE HEALED!
It is like a slap in the face when we say God gave me this sickness or disease to teach me something. He gave everything He had so that we might be healed. Watch the movie and see what He willingly did for you.
Isaiah says by 'His stripes we are healed,' Peter say 'by His stripes we were healed'. I walk in divine heath, sometimes I have to fight (like today) but the devil is not going to put any sickness or disease on me. I am blessed beyond measure.
