Well the critiques are back and obviously I didn't make the semi-finalist list but I did get a much better score. So now we rewrite again. I have learned so much from the critiques and they did tell me I have a God given talent, I just need to work on my craft part. Last year at this time I didn't know what a POV was or what showing and not telling was, so I have come a long way.
I thank God that He is showing me what I need to know and how to get where He wants me to go. Yesterday I had a word from the Lord saying "He will open doors for me. He will open doors that I am not even aware of."
Isn't that awesome! I was thrilled!
I am reading a book on dialogue and have learned a lot. I'm excited to get back to my manuscript. There just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day. I am reading Kenneth Copeland's book on The Blessing. It has so much in it that you can't just breeze through it. It takes time to digest it. I am also reading Dialogue, which is the same way, you just can't skim through it. Then there is the normal housework and my taxi service to my family that all need to be taken to work. Then there has to be time with the Lord and I have to have time to exercise.
I work part time and then there is trying to spend time with the family. (My grandson Cade was here this weekend, such a joy!) How to get to the manuscript. It is an endless circle. Praise God. How do you handle the time crunch? I could use some help in this area.

You are brave to enter a contest. I find it good news that you received a critique. Yes, it takes work to get something ready for publication. I had a remedial course in this area when our drama ministry did my Easter play. The experts say the hard part is not the writing but the rewriting and rewriting....and rewriting. (I think you got the picture.)
