My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Wilderness Defender. This is book two in the continuity series Alaska K-9 Unit. I'm a fan of Maggie's and was thrilled to receive this book in the mail. It's well-written, action-packed, and full of drama. I know you are going to love it.
Alaska State Trooper Poppy Walsh and her partner Stormy are investigating the death of a poacher. Rumor had it that the poachers had found a cub and are looking for its sibling. This is difficult for her as this is where she was supposed to go on her honeymoon but Lex had broken her heart. They had cleared fifteen cabins when her partner alerted to something was in this cabin, she is attacked. Lex shows up to rescue her.
Park Ranger Lex Fielding is on the way to see the one woman he had truly loved but was afraid to marry. He had left her a week before the wedding. He wanted to make her understand why he had left her. As he approaches the cabin he hears the chaos. As he gets closer he can see it Poppy and two men are carrying her. He rescues her and explained that this bear cub is a rare blue bear. He receives a call saying someone is threatening his son and they are off to rescue him.
A terrifying journey as the poachers go after his son. Can they keep his son alive, find the poachers, stay ahead of the killer, and deal with their past? God has a plan for these three, a plan of hope and for a future. God has a plan for you too; even in this time of chaos. Give Him your heart and watch Him work in your life. God is so good!
