Dead Center by Susan Sleeman

My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, Dead Center. This is the fifth book in the Truth Seekers Series. I was thrilled to receive this book. Every time I finish one of Susan's books I'm wanting the next one to come out. I don't know how she keeps coming up with new stories, new intrigues, and exceptional characters. I really appreciate that she visits the past characters so we can see what is going on it their lives after their story ends. This book is awesome.
Ainslie Duncan is a Forensic Photographer for Veritas Center. She is home alone when men burst through her door. They were big, tall men with assault rifles all pointed at her. US Marshalls they claimed. They had a call saying an escaped criminal is at her home. The escaped criminal had been in the same cell as her brother so someone had called a crank call. One of her co-workers shows up to help her. Why does it have to be the man she is so attracted to? She can't think when he's around. She needs to stand on her own.
Grady Houston is the weapon's expert at Veritas Center. He hears a call that is happening at Ainslie's home. He rushes over to help her and protect her if necessary. It's what he does. He's a protector at heart and he cares about her. When he finds out that her brother is in jail for a crime he didn't commit he tells her the center will help her. Then takes her back to the center along with a marshal assigned to help protect her. Who could have made the call? Who is trying to kill her?
A journey that covers a vast area and many years in the past. Veritas pulls out all the stops the find who the killer is. God has a plan for these two; both carry a lot of baggage from their pasts. Can they get past their fear of relationships and find God's plan for them? A plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.
