My review today is on the Amish Romantic Suspense, The Meek. For the English, it was the end of the world as they knew it. For the Amish it was Tuesday. I was asked to read this book; all these words are my own. I really enjoyed this book although it is kind of scary how possible the book really is. There are many people worried about this happening to the United States. This book is well written, action packed, and full of faith. You will love this book.
Jedidiah Wenger was working when he noticed lightening off in the distance but there wasn't a cloud in the sky. There were several flashes of light, a strange feeling in the air. He took his milk to the cooler to await the truck to pick it up. It is strange thing that the truck is late. Jed has a large farm that he runs alone. His family had been killed by a drunk driver several years ago. He puts everything into his farm. He has three couple that come each fall to help with the harvest and canning. A half an hour, later more lightening flashes appeared, still no milk truck. The next day he noticed black smoke in the distance. Why would they be burning lands now. He and his man work all morning and afternoon but quit early to go to town. The men meet a lot of cars abandoned in the middle of the road. There are no telephone wires, what can be going on. No one is working; they see a large crowd in front of the sheriff's office. There is no power, everywhere is without power. Jed steps up and tells the sheriff they will help the English.
A journey of the Amish helping the English learn to work in a new world without electricity. The Amish change their lives by moving in together to save heat and food. They must store up enough food and wood for the soon coming winter. God has a plan for a hope and a future for these people. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him work in your life. God can make a way where there is no way if only you listen to Him and abide in Him.
Thank you for reviewing our book, so glad you enjoyed it.
