My review today is on the Medieval Romance, Redemption. This is the book 3 of the Sword and the Cross Chronicles. This book was sent to me by the author because I so enjoyed the first two books. I think this might have been my favorite of the three. I really liked Guy and was glad he had his own story. I loved the old man that came to him and was also in book two. A cool visitation. This book is well written, action packed, and humorous. I know you are going to love it.
Sir Guy Ashton is traveling by mule across the country. He had faked his death(book two) and now is headed to join the monks. He runs into a young lad who is in trouble. The kings men were after him. He helps the boy only to find it's not a lad at all but a girl running a way from an arranged marriage. The girl turns out to be ill and Guy takes her to his estranged brother's Keep. They sneak into the keep and up a secret passage to his brother's wife's room. She is a healer and will help them. The wife is dead and they find his brother there with another woman. He threatens to kill Guy. It seems he is the man she is to marry. Guy must save her from the marriage for his brother is a cruel and evil man. Her father storms in and takes charge. Prince John shows up and Guy tells them all that he and the girl are married.
Lady Grace de Melan is frantic to escape the marriage her father is forcing on her. Her heart belongs to Sir Edmund who has traveled to the Crusades. She manages to escaped by dressing like a boy. She begs the monk to help her. She becomes ill and wakes to find herself at the very Keep the king's men were taking her. She goes a long with Guy's statement of their marriage. The king send men out to Crosswinds to find the priest who was suppose to have married them. Then he will decide what to do with them.
An adventure that turns all of their lives upside down. It takes time to help Guy become the man he needs to be and for Grace to realize she wasn't trying to get to Edmund but to be free. God has a plan for these two; a good plan and not for evil. God has a plan for you too. You aren't going through these kinds of adventures but you do have an enemy that is trying to steal, kill, and destroy. Give Him your heart and learn what He has in store for you.
