My review today is on the Loves Inspired Suspense, Fugitive Pursuit. This is Christa's first book for LIS but I know you are going to really enjoy it. The book is well written, action packed, and full of intrigue. Faith is interwoven through out the story. I look forward to her next book.
Bounty Hunter Zack Owen is out to find a woman. His family has started the Second Chance Bail Bond service where he works. Jamie Carter is accused of assault to her brother-in-law and to kidnapping her niece. He takes his inexperienced sister with him to an internet cafe. He knows her the moment he sees her. He arrest Jamie and takes her to the office. He believes her after hearing her story but her brothers tell him he has to take her in. Uneasy with how the deputy treated her and he comes back to check on her. She is covered in bruises. He hands the receptionist a form saying she was to be moved and so her took her out. His brothers are furious and refuse to help; so they take off on the run.
Jamie Carter is in the cafe looking into the news clips about her sisters death. They are reporting her sister as having a drug problem. Erin would never touch drugs. No her abusive husband has killed her. Jamie had tried to get her sister a way from the man but she wouldn't listen. She was on vacation when she received a message telling her she was leaving him. Jamie didn't hear the phone and Erin had died. The investigation said she was killed by her drug dealer but Jamie knew the truth. Now she is on the run. She hid her niece and is trying to find proof against her brother-in-law the sheriff. She's a teacher, she needs help in her investigation. Zack was an answer to prayer.
A journey of two heartbroken souls struggling to find answers while trying to stay ahead of a corrupt sheriff and his deputies. How far does the corruption go? God has a plan for these two; a good plan and not for evil. God has a plan for you too. A plan for a hope and a future. Give Him your heart and watch Him work in your life.
Thank you so much, Glenda! I'm thrilled you liked the book.
