Joshua's Prayer by Olivia Rae

My review today is on A Golden Ridge Story, Josua's Prayer. This book was sent to me. I was not required to write a review but you are going to love this story and I don't want you to miss it. I'm new as a fan of Olivia's work but I am a fan now and hope to read more of her stories. This book is well written, heart warming, and has a touch of intrigue. I know you are going to love it.
Sam Morgan is a dentist; working as a missionary in Guatemala. He has lost his faith in God;  he returns home to Golden Ridge after the death of his wife. His son is living in a group home for battered women and women who need a new start. Sam's wife had left him in the mission field and moved into Grace House Women's Center taking her son with her. She then filed for divorce. She had been an alcoholic and their son was a victim of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Sam attended the funeral. He had nothing but bad memories from this town. He planned to pack up the house and take his son and return to Guatemala immediately. That was until he came up against his son's pre-school teacher. She refused to let him take his son.
Nicole James grew up in a home where father refused to settle down. They had moved over and over until her mother took to a bottle when she became overwhelmed. Nicole and her mentor had opened the center to help women to start over and get out of bad situations. She was not about to allow Sam to take his special needs child and drag him all over the world; especially after all the horror stories Vicky Morgan had told her about her ex-husband. It soon becomes obvious to her that Vicky could have lied but can she give up a boy that has become the son she never had?. She finally convinces everyone to wait one month until the child could get use to his father again.
A journey of two broken souls struggling to care for their small young charge. Someone was trying to destroy the center. They must work together to try to save the place. God has a plan for this little family, a plan for good and not for evil. God has a plan for you too. Surrender your heart as Sam was finally able to do. Watch Him move in your life and turn your it all around.
