My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Rodeo Standoff. This is the second book in the McKade Law Series. This is an awesome series and I know you are going to love it. This book is well written, action packed, and full of adventure. Faith is woven into the story like a fine tapestry. This is a book that is very difficult to put down.
Deputy Tessa McKade is a barrel rider in the rodeo. This rodeo will be her last. Her horse is unable to keep competing and as a deputy she doesn't have the time or desire to train another horse. She goes to the arena early to think about her past competitions. Suddenly she is in the arena with eighteen hundred pound angry bull. She has no way out. Along comes a cowboy and rescues her. Who could be angry enough to try to kill her in such a terrible way?
Detective Braden Hayes sees Tessa in trouble. Braden was once a champion bull rider. He knows better than anyone how dangerous an angry bull can be. He manages to rescue Tessa but it is soon obvious that her life is in danger. Someone out there wants her dead.
Sheriff Walt McKade want to protect his daughter but He and his sons are law enforcement they don't know their way around the rodeo. So he enlists Braden to guard her until they can find out who is out to kill her.
A journey of a man with a dysfunctional childhood and a woman with a wonderful Godly family. How can they find a life together. God has a plan for these two. A plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. You may not have some one literally trying to kill and destroy you but you do have an enemy that is trying to steal, kill, and destroy you and your loved ones. God wants you to come to Him, trust Him, and give your heart to Him. God makes away when there seems to be no way. God loves you so much.
