Heart Unbroken by Alexa Verde

My review today is on the Christian Multicultural Romantic Suspense, Heart Unbroken. This is the third book in The Potter's House Series. This book is a great read! I was given this book as an ARC. I'm not required to give a review but I know you are going to want to read this one. The story is well written, action packed, and fast paced. Faith is interwoven throughout the story like a fine tapestry. I enjoy revisiting some of the characters in Rios Azules.
Former drug addict Emma Hughes is now living in Rios Azules. She had left her husband and child years ago to feed her addiction. Now she's a Christian and although her ex-husband has remarried she is trying to connect with her son. She has started over and is struggling to stay clean. Someone is threatening her. Should she leave? Is her son and his family in danger too? How can she let a stranger help her when she has no future and he is still in love with his dead wife?
Sheriff Rodrigo Ybarra is on vacation. He's a widower who comes to the beach to try to heal. Two years ago his wife was killed by a junkie. How are you suppose to get over that? He's at a restaurant when one of the men grab a waitress and starts shouting at her. He steps in and helps her. Her boss comes out and tells the girl to go take a break. The owner thanks him and offers him a free desert. Emma comes out later and fills his tea and asks what he wants for desert. He is drawn to her but he soon find out that Emma is a  drug addict, even though she is clean now and has been for some time. Her life is being threatened. He must protect her.
Two brokenhearted souls struggling to find peace. They must learn to love and trust each other and the God who has brought them together. God has a plan for these two, a good plan and not for evil. God has a plan for you too. He has a plan for a hope and a future for you. Give your heart to God. Trust Him and He will turn your life around.
