This is a great story. It is a romantic comedy, Love Gone to the Dogs. This is the first book of the Second Chances Series. You will laugh, you will cry, and you will enjoy every word of it. This story is well written, humorous, and heart warming. You are going to love it.
Author Leah Taylor has moved her family to a small town after being run out of several towns. Her husband ran off and left her and her boys and she is forced to write children books to support them. Her eldest takes after her and is normal but her youngest is a genius and doesn't fit in. Her youngest has skipped several grades and is his older brother's class causing many problems for the oldest. She also cares for her grandfather. He is also a genius and is always experimenting in his lab in the garage. Some of his experiments end up in explosions or fire that scares the neighbors. She also has to deal with a dog that runs a muck. She isn't even unpacked when she's answering her door to a furious neighbor. The good looking doctor is furious with her dog but it can't be Arnold, he is in the backyard fenced in.
Doctor Shane O'Grady is a widower. He watched his wife die and he will never let himself love another that way. He is furious that the new neighbor's dog tore up his newspaper three days in a row. He comes over to tell his neighbor off only to find a beautiful little woman. How can he be attracted to this woman and her chaos? Her dog manages to escape the yard and goes to his back yard and has his way with his pure bred Princess and leads her astray. Shane is also the Mayor of the town and his other neighbor is trying to run Leah out of town.
