My review today is on the novel, Return to Huckleberry Hill. This is the seventh book in the Matchmakers of Huckleberry Hill Series. Well, Jennifer has done it again. This is an awesome book, it's well written, humorous, and heartwarming. You will laugh and you will cry but you will love every word of it. I warn you though it will be hard to put the book down. I know you will love this story.
Reuben Helmuth moves in with his mammi and dawdi to hide after his best friend and his girlfriend decide they were in love. Rueben couldn't stand the shame of it all. The whole community was laughing at him behind his back. His surrogate little sister Fern shows up and is trying to help him.
Fern King followed Reuben to Huckleberry Hill, she has followed him since she was but a little child. Her heart was breaking since the fight between Reuben and her brother John. They had been best friends forever. She wants to talk Reuben into forgiving her brother and come home to Sugarcreek.
Mammi sets out to find him a wife. She asks several girls over to have a knitting club so they can make him happy again. But when Reuben finds out they all know about his humiliation he rages at the girls, sends them home, and then ends up trying to make it up to them and his mammi but in doing what the girls asks, he finds himself in a worse mess.
A journey of two hearts that were meant to be together. They run into one difficult situation after another. God has a plan for these two and it's much better than either dreamed. God has a plan for you too. Just surrender your heart to Him and watch Him work in your life.
