My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Lakeside Peril. This is the second book in the Men of Millbrook Lake Series. I love Lenora's work and this series is awesome. This book is well written, action packed, and full of faith. No one writes an intrigue like Lenora does. You will love this one.
Chloe Conrad is out to find out who killed her sister. She finds a name in her sisters papers, a man from their past. Chloe knows that he is the best PI around so she flies out to hire him even though he blames her family for killing his sister. When she finds him sitting on the deck of a biker bar, he refuses to talk with her until a car drives by and starts shooting at them and he's forced to rescues her.
Ex-military Special Forces Opperative Hunter Larson is a loner. He is trying to heal from the horrors he has lived with, including the murder of his sister by her husband. He tracked down and found the evidence he needed to bring down her killer but that hadn't healed his heart. As he saves Chloe he sees the same drive to find her sister's killer as he lived with. He has no choice but to help her. Is the killer her own father? Can he save her without destroying her?
