My book review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense book, Perilous Refuge. I loved this book, Kathleen showed us how important it is to help one another no matter where we are in life, even in our own peril. I like that concept, it's what we as Christian are supposed to do. The book is well written, action packed, and I loved her characters. You really need to get a copy.
Chelsea Rodgers takes a job as a companion to a wealthy older woman, Miss Abigail, with a rare blood type called Bombay. Chelsea has the same blood type and goes on a trip to Hawaii to be a blood donor if her boss has problems with her scheduled surgery. Several months ago Chelsea had witnessed her bosses murder and is trying to hide from the killer and his thugs,so the trip seems a blessing.
Alex Sullivan is a lawyer. He has a broken heart because of events his former fiancee had pulled. Now he doesn't trust any women and especially this beauty that has wormed her way into his favorite clients life. Horrified when his client wants to make her the executor of her will he tries to convince her that she is but a con artist. Unable to convince Miss Abigail he decides to go on the trip with them.
Alex is digging into Chelsea's past but finds only good things about her but people begin to die around her and her life is in danger. Alex has no choice but to try to protect her. As the threats escalate so does their feelings for each other but how can they put an end to the danger when no one believes her.
