Perilous Waters by Sandra Orchard

My book review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense book, Perilous Waters by Sandra Orchard. Well. she did it again, this was an awesome book. I have been very ill and the medication has made it hard for me to read but this book I couldn't put down. It was well written and fast paced. I loved the characters.

Sam Steele is an FBI agent assigned to investigate Art Smuggling Ring. Sam buys tickets for his family to go on an Alaskan Cruise so he can investigate a set of twins that own an art gallery. Sam was betrayed by a woman his brother calls Jezebel, she had almost cost him his job, now he would have to be extremely careful as he deals with these beauties. As they set off, one of his suspects becomes a victim right before his eyes. Who can be trying to kill her and why?

Jennifer Robbins works for her family's corporation writing grants. She has never really been drawn to the art world like her sister, Cassandra. After a visit to the gallery, she uncovers a stolen painting. She is determined to find out who is handling stolen art. Her guardian sends her and her sister on an Alaskan cruise for their birthday. A handsome man helps her when her life is threatened. She is drawn to him and his wonderful family but she has been betrayed before, was he who he claimed to be?

A wonderful book you must read. God bless you all and have a great weekend.

Through The Eyes of a Child by Pam Funke

My book review today is on a child's E-book, Through The Eyes of a Child by Pam Funke. I was asked to read this book and review it. Although the book was given to me the review is my very own. I know your child or grandchild will love this book. The stories are delightful.

Mother and child are visiting the beach and find a strange creature. Bella, the daughter, asks about the creature and her mother shares several stories about different creatures and how God loves each of them and has a purpose for them.

The stories are heart warming and endearing. I can't wait to read them to my great grand kids. These stories will make great bed-time stories. You can find the book on Amazon.com

Top Secret Identity by Sharon Dunn

My book review today is on the next book in the series, Witness Protection. This is the fourth book in the series by Love Inspired Suspense, only two to go. Sharon Dunn did a great job on this one. It was fast paced and full of intrigue. I enjoyed it very much, especially the end.

Morgan Smith, is relocated to Iowa after she is attacked. Morgan managed to get to close to a baby smuggling operation. Now she was force to start her life all over. Sometimes we might think it would be good to start over but the consequences are more than most of us would be willing to pay. She left everything, a job she really liked, friends, and all her family she loved. Now she was a caretaker of horses on a farm and helped children learn to ride trying to hide her past from her handsome boss.

Alex Reardon was drawn to his new employee. He had been almost destroyed by an unfaithful wife and had no interest in getting involved with a woman who refused to tell him anything about her past. She's wonderful with the horses and the disabled kids but things begin to happen at the farm. Rural Iowa had always been a safe place now there were attacks on Morgan and the farm, what was he supposed to think?

A great story I know you will love. now I can't wait until the next book comes out. I always love the way they all pull together in the last couple of books. You really need to get the whole series. God bless you all and have a great week.

Beautiful Dreamer by Lorraine Beatty

My review today is on the Heartsong Presents book, Beautiful Dreamer by Lorraine Beatty. This is a good book I'm sure you will enjoy although I wanted to shake the Lena at times. When you put two people together who are exact opposites you definitely have problems. So the question always remains is love enough?

Lena Butler is a school teacher. She is an organized list maker who promises to help a film maker friend of her neighbors. He needs to find locations for his up coming movie. Against her better judgement she leads the man around, trying to keep walls around her heart to protect her from this charmer.

Dixon Edwards comes to Florida to scout out locations for his new Christian movie. He is intrigued by his uptight guide, a real challenge to his carefree ways. Dix is hiding a broken heart and has decided that it's God's will for him to remain single until Lena gets under his skin but Lena has her own issues and they don't include marriage or a relationship with a free spirit.

God has a plan and He loves to bring opposites together. I love it when His plan comes together. God bless you all and have a great week end.

A Place of Refugeby Janet Lee Barton

My book review today is one the Love Inspired Historical, A Place of Refuge by Janet Lee Barton. One of the Boarding House Brothels Series. I enjoyed this book. It is well written story about life in the tenements in New York City during the late eighteen hundreds. A horrible time in our history.

Kathleen O'Bryan is brought to Mrs Heaton's boarding house beaten half to death. Kathleen had been given a card by Mrs. Heaton when she was rescued from her brother-in-law a year ago. With the card in her pocket she now would be taken care of. Imagine her surprise when she opened her eyes and saw the man who had rescued her. She had never thought to see her hero again.

Luke Patterson was a heart broken author that lived in the boarding house. He helped Mrs. Heaton and her son to rescue women in need of help. The woman they brought to the home was hardly recognizable as the woman he had helped last summer. He was drawn to this woman and her family. Would he be able to keep her safe as the Heatons struggled to find a way to bring her out of the tenements.

A journey to rescue women in danger by people who only want to bring hope to the unfortunate. A great mission led by God. God always has a plan and they find He was in charge the whole time. I'm sure you'll love the book. God bless you all.

Deadly Safari by Lisa Harris

My book review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Deadly Safari by Lisa Harris. I really enjoyed this story. Africa has always been a place that has drawn me. I remember hearing a missionary talk about Africa as a child and me saying, send me God but that hasn't happened. I still love to read about it. This story is well written and I loved the characters. It would be really hard to protect someone if they didn't know that was why you were there and then how do you tell them.

Texas Ranger Alex Markham comes to Africa as a personal favor to his dad's good friend, Ambassador Jordan. Jordan's life has been threatened and so has the life of his daughter.  Fearing for her life he sends Alex in undercover. Alex is to be her production assistant but he knows nothing about film making. He didn't expect a beautiful woman and his protective instincts soar. He wanted to tell her the truth the moment he saw her but his hands are tied.

Meghan Jordan is a very independent film maker. In the middle of a documentary on lions, she is not impressed by this "cowboy" someone sent to be her assistant. What is worse is that he worries about everything, and soon she finds herself seeing shadows and hearing noises. She doesn't need a man in her life.

Their journey together is a great adventure, I know you will enjoy every word of it. God bless you and have a great week.

An Amish Christmas by Patricia Davids

My book review today is on the Love Inspired Book, An Amish Christmas by Patricia Davids. This is an older book I was given a part of the Brides of Amish Country Series. I enjoyed it very much. When someone loses their memories you never know how the author will end things but I liked what she did with this book. It is well written and keeps your attention. I liked the characters.

Karen Imhoff is driving the family carriage when her sister sees something on the edge of the road. Anna is sure it's a dead man. Not long ago they had lost part of their family in a buggy accident. Karen drives back and finds a man lying there. She sends her brother to call 911 to help the Englisher, she fears he will die in her arms as her brother did.

John Doe had no memory of his life before he woke up in a ditch. He knew he was in this area for a reason so he made arrangements to stay with Karen's family to try to find answers. He obviously is not Amish but he remembers some Amish words and glimpses of a woman. He is drawn to Karen and the Amish ways but there can be no future when you don't know who you are.

A journey to find out what kind of man he really is. A great book I know you will love. God bless you and have a great weekend.

Dark Tide by Susan Sleeman

My post today is on the Love Inspired Suspense book; Dark Tide by Susan Sleeman. This book is one of the Justice Agency Series. I have loved this series and was really looking forward to the book about Derrick. I loved the whole concept of this family, all adopted but now they had a stronger bond than blood. At the death of their adoptive parents, this group of brothers and sisters became an investigative agency to help others, whether they could pay or not. What a cool concept. The family is full of broken lives that God has mended and put together. The characters are real hurting individuals that I am really going to miss. Maybe you could do a reunion one day so we can meet the kids and see what is going on with them all. Think about it Susan.

Gina Evans doesn't know what to do when her brother is murdered and someone is out to destroy her and her precious niece. The police won't believe her and the only one she can think of to help her was the man she loved and left back in college. He was an investigator surely he would help her keep her niece and her alive.

Derrick Justice was the last of his family that remained single. He couldn't believe they had all found someone to care for. It was becoming difficult to be around them. Derrick would never let himself commit to a woman. The only woman he had ever loved took off and left him when he refused to commit to her. Now she was back. Not only her but she came back with the cutest little baby he had ever seen. His mind kept returning to the fact this child could be theirs if he hadn't refused her love. Now someone was trying to kill them, could he and his family save them?

A great book full of intrigue and suspense. A book you must read. You need to read the whole series, it's awesome. God bless you all.

The Agent's Secret Past by Debby Giusti

My book review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense Book; The Agent's Secret Past by Debby Giusti, another book in the series, Military Investigations. I have loved this series but then I love all of Debby's books. They are all well written and full of suspense and intrigue. This one was awesome because it's not an Amish book but it is about and ex-Amish agent and centers around the Amish people and their lifestyle. I loved that about it.

Special Agent Becca Miller, of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Army has just recently came to Ft. Rickman. Becca had once been a simple Amish girl but after an attack from the man her father forced her to work for, she ran away and joined the Army. Called back home by a frightened sister after a couple of years, she found her father dying and her sister dead. Jacob saw her and swore he would find her and kill her. Jacob had supposedly died that night when he set his home on fire and killed his wife but Becca couldn't seem to believe he was dead.

Special Agent Colby Voss is drawn to the beautiful new agent even though she managed to keep herself aloof. When her apartment is blown up Colby is driven to help her even though she doesn't want help. It becomes evident that someone from her past is out to kill her. They must work together to prove that Jacob is alive and behind the attacks.

A great intrigue I know you will love. You must get a copy right away. God bless you all and have a great week.

The Wyoming Heir by Naomi Rawlings

My book review today is on the Love Inspired Historical, The Wyoming Heir by Naomi Rawlings. I enjoyed this book. A flawed hurting man on a journey to receive an inheritance from a man his family despised. He would sell all and reunite his family. This man had removed God from his life after the death of his twin brother.

Elizabeth Wells is a mathematics teacher. Mathematics had become her life after a the tragic end of her engagement. She poured all her love and energy into the students she loved. Born in the life of luxury but she had defied her family and now worked for a living. Jonah Hayes had been a father figure to her when her family let her down. Now Jonah had died and the fate of her precious school is in the hand of a good looking cowboy.

Luke Hayes is forced to leave his beloved ranch in Wyoming to settle the estate of his estranged grandfather. Luke's mother is dying from consumption so he must hurry. He also needs to bring his sister back so that she can see her mother before she dies but his mother makes him promise not to tell his sister of her illness. The only thing standing in his way is a little teacher that speaks to his heart.

Luke enters the school and commands his sister to leave the school and help him with the estate. Samantha has been in the school for three years and has hopes and plans of her own and has no intention of obeying this overbearing man.

A great story of God setting plans into motion. Plans that aren't what they might want but what they really need. It is well written and you will love the characters, although there are some you will not like at all. God bless you all and have a great weekend.

Stolen Memories by Liz Johnson

My book review today in on the Love Inspired Suspense Book; Stolen Memories. This is the third book in the Witness Protection Series (which I am really enjoying) It is very well written by Liz Johnson. It is fast paced and full of action. I know you will enjoy this book.

Homicide Detective Zach Jones answers a call to a dead body only to find a first. His dead body isn't really dead. She had been badly beaten and left for dead, what an intriguing concept. Will he be able to protect her?

Julie Thomas wakes in a hospital with a blank page where her mind once was. The hospital has given her a name. Everything she once owned is gone. Now someone is trying to kill her and she has no idea why. Can she trust this detective? Will God keep her safe?

Video feed close to the park where Julie is found shows her entering the park with a baby. What happened to the baby? Whose baby was it? Witness Protection Agents come to ask Julie about the men involved in Baby Trafficking.

A great story you won't want to miss. God bless you all.

I'm Home!

My blog today is an update on my health. If you are one of my followers you probably noticed I didn't have a post last Friday. I was in the hospital. I finally got out yesterday. I had to miss church though. Honestly, I don't think I would have been able to sit through the service.

I shared with you that I had a bout with shingles in December. I am still plagued with nerve pain throughout my abdomen. Well, I started having intestinal issues. The pain became so unbearable that I went to the doctor on Wednesday. I hadn't been able to sleep in days. If I would have had a car I would have gone to the emergency room. My daughter took me to the doctor and she sent me to the hospital. I got to go through another CAT Scan, I had one on Monday.

Thursday I was really ill. I couldn't keep anything down and the pain was excruciating. I was suppose to go for an outpatient over night but they didn't let me go home until Sunday. I can't remember a time that I was so sick. Saturday I was finally allowed solid food. I hadn't eaten since Sunday. (I have lost weight)

I had an attack of diverticulitis plus complication that were viral. Now that I'm back home I woke up today with a yeast infection in my mouth so I'm back to not being able to eat. I think I made the devil mad when I started witnessing to everyone I met. But I can assure you I'm not finished witnessing. He just made me mad.

God bless you all and I will talk to you on Wednesday.
