My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, Night Prey. This is book six in the series Nighthawk Security. This is truly an awesome story. I'm never sure where Susan gets all her ideas especially when she is going through so much in her personal life but she continues to amaze me. This book is well-written, action-packed, and full of suspense. I know you are going to love it.
Former Federal Proscuter Malone Rice is at her high school reunion when the man that had attacked her in high school is standing right in front of her. He asks her to meet him in the other ballroom. He has something to tell her about her parent's death. It wasn't an accident but he knew who was guilty. When she is talking to him in the ballroom a man in a mask walks in and shoots him twice and then hands her the gun. He walks away. Malone tries to revive him but there nothing to be done. In walks the man who had saved her all those years ago but he's here to arrest her.
Portland Police Detective Ian Blair walks into the ballroom and sees her holding the gun. She is covered in blood. He has no choice but to arrests her. Ian was the one who helped her when she was attacked all those years ago. Could this be the reason she killed him? Ian can't believe that. He calls her brother FBI Agent Reed Rice. She is not charged and Ian chooses to help her find the real killer and bring him in.
A journey of investigation that brings in Malone's brother's wife, Sierra Byrd Rice and the rest of her family, the Nighthawk Security team, and Veritas Center. Ian must work with the others and help clear Malone. God has a plan for these two, a plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan for peace and not destruction even when our country is falling apart.
