My review today is on the Romance, In Want of a Wife. This is book one in the series, A Pemberley Ranch Romance. I'm a big fan of Shanae's work. I really enjoyed this book and looking forward to the next book in this series. This story is humorous, well-written, and totally delightful. I know you are going to love it.
Collin Hundford didn't understand people, especially women. He understood his horses; why couldn't people be more like horses. He asked a woman out for two dates then went to a meal at her family home. There he proposed to Elizabeth in front of the family. Isn't that how it was supposed to be done? When she turns him down he is totally confused. He explains how she had given him the same signs a mare would give a stallion. (I loved that part) Her father asks him to leave. He must have a wife to receive his inheritance so he asks Charlotte Lee, Elizabeth's best friend instead.
Orphan Charlotte Lee wants to be a horse trainer. She has finished school and come home believing that Mr. Bennet would offer her his trainer's job but he hired someone else. Brokenhearted she accepts Collin's proposal for a business partnership marriage. She knows her best friend won't like it but she really had no choice. She can't live at her aunts any longer.
A delightful journey of two basic strangers as they navigated this engagement and then marriage.
