My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Seeking Amish Shelter. I was thrilled to get this book in the mail. Alison is one of my favorite authors. This story is well written, action packed and full of drama. Faith is interwoven throughout the story like a fine tapestry.
Nursing Student Bridget Miller has found some problems with the drugs at the clinic where she works. She tells her best friend who calls her friend in the DEA. She agrees to meet him at a coffee shop. Her friend fails to show up. The DEA Agent wants to start without her friend. He tells her they will investigate. He is handing her case over to someone else. She's not happy about that. She has never told anyone that she was once Amish. She never plans to go back but now her life is in danger. Can she go back?
DEA Special Agent Zachary Bryant had just got off a hard case and is on vacation. He had no choice but to hand over the complaint. As they leave he asks to take her home but she declines. While he is moving down the sidewalk a car revs up his motor and tries to run the girl down. Something is really wrong. He insists on taking her home. Now he must protect her. Hiding her with the Amish sounds like the best choice. He doesn't realize what it will cost her.
A journey to stay ahead of the cold blooded killers. They end up hiding in Bridget's home in Amish country. A place she never planned to return to. Will they accept her? God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A plan for peace and not for destruction. Give Him your heart and your fear and watch Him change your life even in this time of chaos.
