My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Texas Witness Threat. Cate is a fairly new author for LIS but I do really like her work. This story is well written, action packed, and full of drama. Faith is a vital ingredient in this book. I like that. I know you are going to love it.
Assistant US Attorney Christine Davis is on her way to work. She had to park her car quite a long distance from the office. As she is walking a sudden storm comes up. She stands in the doorway of a construction sight. The storm get worse and she slips inside the building. She hears men arguing and the one man kills the other. The dead man falls at her feet. She hides behind the plastic and finds a window that she can slip out. She runs out of the building and into the street. She is almost run over by a car. The man driving the car is a Texas Ranger and helps her.
Texas Ranger Blake Larsen is driving down the road when a woman runs into the road. He had been driving slowly because of the storm so he was able to miss her. He takes her to the hospital and listens to her story. When he reports the murder he is told there is no body. No one including her boss seems to believe her. Why? She is an important law enforcement officer, why treat her like she mentally deficient. Then someone tries to take her life in the hospital. He must protect this women if no one believes her.
A terrifying journey as the killer follows them all over Texas. The Texas Rangers believe her but no one else does. God has a plan for these two broken souls. He has a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a plan for peace and not for destruction. Give Him your heart and watch Him make a way where there is no way. God is our only hope in this time of chaos. He does have a plan and he is faithful.
