Rocky Mountain Showdown by Victoria Austin

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Rocky Mountain Showdown. Victoria is a new author for LIS but she did an awesome job on this book. I can't wait to read her next one. This story is well written, action packed and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.
Laura Donovan has returned to the cabin she grew up in. Her husband has died and she needs to care for her daughter. Laura's adopted father (her uncle) has died leaving her the mountain. He had been a hermit until he took over her care. She finds a key in her husband's things and calls the bank. Men come to get the key and leaves her unconscious. When she comes to there is a park ranger standing over her. She slugs him and runs to find her three year old daughter. She doesn't trust rangers they had given he father a rough time. He finally explains the mountain is on fire and they need to get out of there. When they try to leave a sniper shots at them. How can she trust this man to keep them safe?
Park Ranger Seth Callahan is leary about going to the house of the man that was infamous to the rangers. But he must help Laura and her daughter to safety. After being shot at they slipped out of a secret tunnel. Seth helps these two but Laura is the one who knows this mountain. They must find a way of escape. The only way out seems to go up the mountain.
A terrifying journey up a mountain in the dark, in the path of a fire, and with  armed mercenaries on their back. God has a plan for this like family, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him move.
