My review today is on the novel, Hunting Hour, a Timber Creek K-9 Mystery. I have never read any of Margaret's book but I did enjoy this one. I love K-9 stories and you are going to love Robo in this one. This story is well written, full of intrigue, and mystery. Missing children has got to be the worst horror a parent or cop can deal with. This story deals with this subject in a great way.
K-9 Officer Mattie Cobbs and her K-9 partner Robo are called out to find a missing child only to find that child lying dead in a hidden spot. Now she is faced with finding another child; a child that is very close to her. She has been having problems of her own with past issues. She had seen herself a part of Cole's family but has pulled a way from him and his daughters feeling he still loves his ex-wife. Now she is going to find his child or die trying.
Veterinary Cole Walker is a single parent caring for two young girls. He cares for Mattie but she has been pulling away from him. He could see that finding the girl's dead body is really hurting her; when his daughter comes up missing Mattie is the first person he calls. Now starts an unending nightmare. They have so many suspects but no evidence to lead them to any of them.
A struggle to find a much loved child, a police force giving all they have, and a town that steps up helps search for this little girl. A great story!
