My review today is on the medieval romance, The Longing. This book is the fifth book in the Age of Faith Series. As I have said before I loved this series! I hate to see it all end. This book is well written, action packed and full of twists and turns. I love the inspirational aspect of the book. I know you will enjoy it.
Eveard Wulfrith is the last member of the Wulfrith family that remained single. Eveard is determined to continue training young men into the best trained knights in the land. The Wulfrith Knights' reputation is without question. Eveard never leaves the castle and women aren't allowed within the walls of the castle. Eveard is shocked when a woman out of his past comes to the castle and asks for sanctuary for her and her nephew in the castle; a child she believes that could be his own and the woman who he believes cost him the woman he loved.
Lady Susanna was once in love with Eveard Wulfrith but he was in love with her best friend Judith, her future sister-in-law. He had a moment with Judith where even though she was betrothed to another he took her in his arms and kissed her. Susanna interrupted the kiss and ran away. What neither of them realized was that Judith's future husband witnessed the kiss. He blamed Susanna for not telling him about the kiss and made her life as miserable as possible. When Judith went ahead and married him anyway he treated her badly and couldn't believe the child she carried was his own. On the death of his wife in childbirth he named the child Judas for betraying him and came to hate the child. Susanna was the only one to care for the boy. He married again and now ten years later he has died and his last wife has given him a son. The mother-in-law is determined her grandson will be the heir. Susanna takes Judas and goes to the one man who know the boys true parentage.
This is the journey of several destroyed souls trying to find out the answers to an impossible situation. God has a plan for these people! A plan for a hope and a future and it is much greater than any of them hoped. God has a plan for you too. Surrender your heart to Him and watch Him turn your life around.
Thank you for the review, Glenda! I'm thrilled you enjoyed the HEA of the final Wulfrith sibling.
