My review today is on the Amish Romance, A Bee in Her Bonnet. This is the second book in The Honeybee Sisters Series. I love Jennifer's stories and was thrilled to get this one. This book is well written, humorous, and heartwarming. It will make you laugh and it will make you cry. The characters are people you will fall in love with, at least most of them. You will love this book.
Poppy Christner is the tomboy of the Honeybee sisters. She feels it's her job to protect her sister which was very difficult when they were growing up. Poppy had hit several of the boys for picking on the orphaned girls. Now she is trying to refrain from violence even though there seems to be vandals who are trying to harm them. When Poppy catches some strangers on her land she tries to see who the boys are but when she grabs the window of the car the guy rolls up the window with her hand in it. She is unable to get her hand out let alone see the guy's face through the tinted windows and then to her horror she is rescued by her arrogant, prideful neighbor Luke, a boy who has tormented her and her sister forever.
Luke Bontrager has been fighting with Poppy all of his life. He has told her she will never marry because of her unladylike behavior. He has shared with her how he likes demure submissive women. But when he sees her in trouble he runs to help her. He can't understand why she doesn't appreciate it. She won't listen to him and do what he knows is right. Suddenly things begin to change and he decides he much prefers feisty Poppy to the docile girls he has been dating. Can he convince Poppy he has changed? Will she let him help her?
This is a journey of two stubborn people who both think they are right and not about to give an inch. God has a plan for these two and it's much greater than they had dreamed. God has a plan for you too, it's a great plan and much better than you ever imagined. Give God your heart and watch Him move in your life.
