My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, A Marshall's Secret. This book is in the Marshal's with a Heart Series. I've never read any of Dora's books before but I enjoyed this one very much. It is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you will love it.
Avery Derose is sitting with her in-laws at her husband's grave. The Derose couple have buried both their sons and every year on the anniversary they come to see their boys. Avery notices a stranger standing in the shadows. US Marshal is embroidered on his shirt. He has stood there the last three years. Who is he? Her husband was an undercover cop killed in a drug bust gone wrong. Now her life is in her home and her new shelter for homeless and abused teens. When she arrives home she finds the son of the man who killed her husband hiding in her barn. She calls the Marshals and two agents show up; one to protect the boy and the other to protect her. She doesn't need protection besides the man is too good looking to be trusted.
US Marshal Trent Burdine was the cop in charge of the drug bust three years ago. He had cost the life of Avery's husband. The last thing he wanted was to protect the beautiful young widow. He had followed her progress all these years. He is half in love with her now, how can he spend time with her without loosing his heart further? Jake's father is a mad man; he'll do anything to get his hands on the boy.
A journey of trying to stay ahead of a killer and protect Avery and Jake. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A good plan and not for evil. Give Him your life and watch Him move for your good.
My journey to publication as a Contemporary Christian Author with a edge of suspense and mystery. As I write about issues of today's world; sexual abuse, physical abuse, and human trafficking. I want to show my readers there is life after living in abuse. Jesus is the answer to all of these major problems.

Knox by Susan May Warren
My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, Knox. This is the first book in The Montana Marshalls Series. This is a great read! This story is well written, action packed, and full of adventure. I know you are going to love this one. The characters are great.
Former bull-rider Knox Marshall's days of competing are over. He's a rancher now. His father died and he had to take over the ranch. He is here now with one of his best bulls. Knox feels like he must help her. He finds her hiding in his bull's pen. He helps her but doesn't get her name. She called him old, safe, and nice. What's that suppose to do to a guys ego? Then he's invited to the concert and there she is. He goes back stage and is thrilled to meet her when the building explodes.
Kelsey Jones is a survivor. Her parents were murdered when she was fourteen. She was beaten, raped, and left for dead. Now she has panic attacks and lives in constant fear. The only time she feels in control is when she is on the stage. She is one of the Yankee Belles and they are auditioning for a permanent gig with the rodeo. She freaks out and makes a fool of herself in front of the good looking cowboy. Then he shows up after the show only to save her life when the backstage blows up. Is the man who beat and raped her the one chasing her?
A struggle to protect the girls from fear, explosions, and mad men. Two broken souls and their journey of survival. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.

Amish Country Murder by Mary Alford
My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Amish Country Murder. I'm always glad to receive one of Mary's books. I really like Amish Stories but I love Amish Suspense stories. So this is a no-brainer for me. Her books are awesome. This book is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.
Catherine Fisher wakes up in a basement one night with her no memory. Her life before her kidnapping is a blank. She is zip tied; tethered to a support beam, lying on a concrete floor, her body broken form the things this mad man has done to her. He comes to her but his phone rings and he leaves. He didn't lock the door! This was her chance! She escapes but is captured again. When he opens the trunk she kicks him and then runs. Its icy, he shoots her, and she falls into the icy water below the bridge.
FBI Agent Sutter Brenneman is chasing after the Dead of Night Killer. Two Amish boys have found a young woman who is an escaped victim of the killer. She is the key to finding him but she remembers nothing. Can he keep her safe? Can he find this killer before he kills Catherine or attacks another young woman?
A terrifying journey to find this killer and keep Catherine safe. God has a plan for these two broken souls. A plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.

Riven by H.L. Wegley
My review today is on the Christian Romantic Suspense, Riven. This is the first book in the Riven Republic Series. This is an awesome book and could very well take place in our nation, especially if the Christians stay home in our next election. Bernie or Bidnen taking over the Presidency could very well do exactly like the story foretells. The story is well written, action packed, and really scary. I know you will be sitting on the edge of your seat.
Zach Tanner is a radio host. He has been talking about the terrible situation going on in the nation. The Governor of Oregon tells his boss to take him off the air. He tells his audience he is leaving to the East side of Oregon that is a red state. He goes to join a group heroes who are trying to change the nation. (We visit some characters from former books. I like that.) He plans to set up a new radio station large enough to broadcast across the nation. He meets a beautiful woman there and falls hard. He has been betrayed by a girl and doesn't know if he can trust her or not.
Kate Alexander is the niece of the Governor. She has recently accepted Jesus as her Lord and must flee the city when her aunt declares martial law. Her aunt sends men to bring her home with the family. She has quite a struggle to get out of Salem. When she arrives at the small town Terrebonne she buys a coffee shop and sets out to be one of the revolutionists. When she meets Zach that first day she is smitten. She offers her help to all the super heroes that live there.
A journey to find hope for a nation that is under attack. Her aunt and even the President is out to stop them. God has a plan for these super heroes especially these two; a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.

Killer Harvest by Tanya Stowe
My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Killer Harvest. Tanya is a fairly new author for LIS but she is becoming one of my favorites. This story is well written, action packed and full of adventure. She has also interwoven faith throughout the book as in a fine tapestry. I know you are going to love it.
Biologist Sassa Nilsson went to an international conference with her mentor and boss. They are at the airport and ready to head for home. She is anxious to get home to her baby. The conference had ended up a nightmare and she just wanted to hold her baby girl. Sam stops and tells her he isn't going straight home but is meeting a border patrol agent. This doesn't make sense as he had been told his wife is ill. A man walks up and stabs him while Sassa is watching. Sam gives her his ID bracelet and then dies. She is taken by the FBI to be interrogated.
Border Patrol Agent Jared De Luca is frustrated; why didn't his supervisors listen more closely to the doctor, why did Jared have to take leave, and why was there a struggle over jurisdiction before anyone took action. Sam had assured him that Sassa didn't know anything about the environmental terrorists, the Black Knights or the virus they wanted. He must find a way to protect her as these men think she has the virus that can kill the all the plant life in the valley. She and the baby are in incredible danger.
A journey of two broken souls trying to stay one step ahead of a mad man out to destroy the world. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him work in your life.

Dead Center by Susan Sleeman
My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, Dead Center. This is the fifth book in the Truth Seekers Series. I was thrilled to receive this book. Every time I finish one of Susan's books I'm wanting the next one to come out. I don't know how she keeps coming up with new stories, new intrigues, and exceptional characters. I really appreciate that she visits the past characters so we can see what is going on it their lives after their story ends. This book is awesome.
Ainslie Duncan is a Forensic Photographer for Veritas Center. She is home alone when men burst through her door. They were big, tall men with assault rifles all pointed at her. US Marshalls they claimed. They had a call saying an escaped criminal is at her home. The escaped criminal had been in the same cell as her brother so someone had called a crank call. One of her co-workers shows up to help her. Why does it have to be the man she is so attracted to? She can't think when he's around. She needs to stand on her own.
Grady Houston is the weapon's expert at Veritas Center. He hears a call that is happening at Ainslie's home. He rushes over to help her and protect her if necessary. It's what he does. He's a protector at heart and he cares about her. When he finds out that her brother is in jail for a crime he didn't commit he tells her the center will help her. Then takes her back to the center along with a marshal assigned to help protect her. Who could have made the call? Who is trying to kill her?
A journey that covers a vast area and many years in the past. Veritas pulls out all the stops the find who the killer is. God has a plan for these two; both carry a lot of baggage from their pasts. Can they get past their fear of relationships and find God's plan for them? A plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.

A Life Renewed by Olivia Rae
My review today is on the Medieval Historical Romance, A Life Renewed. This is book one in the Secrets of the Queens Series. I really enjoy medieval stories and Olivia does a wonderful job on writing them. I know you are going to love this one. It is well written, well researched, and full of action.
The story starts in 1554 when Lady Jane Grey is beheaded. We soon find out in this story that "The Nine Days Queen" wasn't actually killed but another took her place. She was unknowingly sent to a convent and then taken from the convent by a prince with visions of putting her on the throne and ruling England. Jane has no wish to become queen but wants a simple life on the farm.
Sir Asher Hayes has been doing the bloody bidding of Queen Mary as she tries to rid her country of Protestants but has recent retired or so he thought. The Queen (Bloody Mary) has captured his parents and his sister and put them in prison. She will release them only when Asher brings her the head of Lady Jane. Asher goes to Germany to fulfill his mission. He is beaten and left for dead. Ella (Lady Jane) takes care of him. He is surrounded by Protestants but can't seem to find the disposed queen. He is drawn to the young maid who cares for him. Could they have a future when this is all over?
A journey of two different beliefs trying to survive in a world gone crazy. God has a plan for these two; a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. Give Him your heart and watch Him turn your life around.
